The map will look different for each & every individual, regardless of the terrain.

We create our maps as we go, they are always in flux. We all venture towards the same mountain top, though from a different parts of the world. & so the friends, foes, challenges, loves, beauties, traps, weapons, & other attractions are all going to be different within the eyes of each.

Sadly, it seems, most of us will die along the route.

Perhaps the mountaintop too is an illusion. A mirage in the distance created by a misperception & misunderstanding of Actuality and Truth.

Okay, I get it.

I just assumed

misunderstanding.

These are all identical.

The moment you claim 'to get it"

Is actually the moment you have lost it.

'Getting' Eternal Mystery is a fallacy created by your own mind. When you think you've 'gotten' the mystery, you have actually fallen for another illusion.

Mystery

It is partially capturable, but never can it be fully contained. This is the Nature of Mystery itself.

I still can’t believe Buddhist Monks can just set their bodies on fire without flinching.

I felt a similar fire when I chose to give birth naturally without the aid of epidural. The pain was so intense, I literally felt like I was going to lose consciousness, but I somehow didn’t panic but just trusted in the process to be endurable which it was for me. My body did what it was designed to do , it did a great job. But I’m aware not all women are that lucky during the birth process. Some die, others have complications. I was lucky.

There's a kind of phoniness sometimes with nondual teachings, although there doesn't have to be.  It's a good pointer, but more needs to be taken account of IMO, and it's not a final stage on the path, unless you create it to be, then you will loop here and that's okay too.

Which is the final stage?

There's a final stage? How would one know?

Duality does exist, but it doesn't mean that non-duality isn't true either. Both are true.

Two things that seem contradictory but exist simultaneously this is a paradox, not something that can be resolved by logic, nor is there any need for it.

I think that non-dualists, ironically, even though it may not be their intention, are spiritually bypassing if they don't acknowledge duality and if they completely disregard the body, the ego, the difference between truth and falsehood, health versus illness, good versus evil, light versus darkness, consciousness versus the subconscious, and the earthly and daily aspects of existence, which are not necessarily contradictory to spiritual development and are crutial part of spiritual development.

Just because you have these psychic powers and abilities, it doesn't mean you're any less of a human than anyone else. There are people who are fast, people who are book smart and people with strong body odor. Psychic powers are just like that. -Reigen, Mob Psycho 100

Conscious awareness can venture outside of three dimensional space, and conscious awareness can go beyond time itself, as it is understood, by us limited creatures.

How do you know that? What is consciousness for you? Some thing that is the foundation of the reality? Maybe a creator who is dreaming?

Sure, for them enlightenment is knowing that reality is one and it's consciousness, then they go to meditate, get empty their minds and think: this is pure consciousness, then I'm enlightened. It has absolutely no relationship with enlightenment, it's co crazy that is funny. Enlightenment is being open to what reality is, not knowing that you are pure consciousness. This is just an idea disguised of a realization. "Realization" is also an idea. Being open to the unlimited means being the unlimited, not knowing that you are unlimited. It's like if you vape a huge dose of DMT, you don't know nothing, reality loses it form, it's absolutely empty, without borders, but then what is manifest itself, it's everything, it's the fact of being that implies everything. It's not one, two or anything else, it is, period. "One", "duality", are just mental structures. The unlimited is not an structure.

Then you can be in your normal life as open as it's possible, seeking the real connection, and giving your best anytime, enjoying the moment as it were magic. That's the point of spirituality

@Lila9 thank you for sharing this, this is exactly what I meant by God complex and spiritual ego. As the disregard of ego and everything being one, makes you blind to more nuanced things like good versus evil and then a guru can do all kinds of evil in the name of nonduality.

I see it more as a range of creation broadening than wanting to locate a final fixed stage.  But even that is just a pointer.

It’s very simple to grasp the Nondual concept. The understanding came naturally to me, as easy as discovering one of those hidden images embedded within a magic eye picture, but hidden in plain sight, so to speak. All it takes is to relax the minds eye. The mind is designed to divide reality into two complementary opposites. This division is totally essential for reality to make sense to biological organisms. It’s a fundamental necessity in fact. So it’s just crazy to deny duality as a non-show.

For example: There’s no UP without DOWN …But when the mind flips those concepts around, what was DOWN becomes the UP and vice versa.
There’s no difference between up or down, the change is simply viewed from a different angle where the opposites are seen to be each and the other coming solely from the perspective of this unchanging observing. There’s no difference there, between up or down, except as and through another perspective, viewed through the lens of perception. . Similarly, this opposite effect can be illustrated another way by using  the “necker cube” as an example, also.

It’s amazing and horrifying at the same time.

The same channel that breathes may become blocked suffocating the organism to death. I can’t even begin to imagine what it would feel like to suffocate.

I was referring to the mental understanding of meaning within the syntax of human conceptual language as communication of information is exchanged between two people in conversation with each other.

The ‘get it’ that was communicated was not meant in the absolute sense.

Indeed. There is no final stage on the path…as there’s no way to cross the horizon of infinity.
