I tried to explain enlightenment (awakening) to a Christian

15 posts in this topic

She had just woken up from a dream and was explaining how real the dream seemed.  So real in fact that she couldn't tell it was a dream.  But then she woke up and was like, wow!

I said..well, that's exactly what spiritual awakening is but with reality.

And you will be like..holy fuck..its incredible. Anyway, we had talked about this stuff before but she is dead set on materialism and Jesus.

Well..needless to say she promptly kicked me out of the bed.  That did not go too well..but I was glad I waited till morning to tell her 😀

Who’s dreaming right now..you or her ?

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

😀

Her awakening is something I am imagining but if I imagine its real there is no difference.  So both of us. Until I wake up

If there is no difference then where is the plot twist ?

Real religion or awakening is surrendering the dreamer or awakener. Not the attachment to dream or awakening.

Rookie mistake, only try to wake up a Christian after marriage.

Then they can't escape. :D

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

Life can't be a dream - and You (This) can't be God either.  Consciousness can't be God because Jesus is God.   And reality isnt actually One.  We are all one but not actually One.  Hmm.

And you will not have salvation without realizing Jesus is God.   When I start to poke and prod her here and take the contemplation any deeper..she gets mad and tells me to shaddup.  😀 that's because you can poke holes in it so easily when you begin to actually think it through.

It’s not a matter of life is a dream since no one here can tell me how dreams come about . You are just offloading this mysterious phenomenon here to an even more mysterious phenomenon.
What is implied by the dream model is life is somehow an illusion. There are no illusions because they are illusions (duh) . A dream at night is real. You experience it then it’s real . It’s not even obvious that a dream at night is solipsistic ..maybe the dream characters are conscious. No one knows squat .

LOL 😝

I tried to explain “enlightenment” to a character who was in my dream last night, but he didn’t seem to be able to understand a single word I was saying to him. Lol

The plot twist is inside your head.

If you don’t believe me then you’re just going to have to keep asking where, forever.

yeah sure the plot twist is inside my head . As if this statement means anything on god ‘s earth .here is what I mean :
He said in the ultimate analysis there is no difference between imagination and reality . I asked then what about the life is a dream fetish ? You enjoy calling life illusory to bypass your suffering ? I don’t see any reason for adopting solipsism as a worldview except either if you want to go crazy or you want to bypass suffering . This doesn’t mean solipsism is false .it is highly likely true but at the end of the day the appearance of separation is here to be experienced as such . If I imagined separation then that’s what I want . Let’s stop interfering with what we want .

Stop questioning what you want then. No point in sowing seeds of doubt in your head.
