How Often Do You Have "I lost myself" Phases?

11 posts in this topic

I live usually in a quite productive and people say I`m very disciplined. Like usually no distractions, only good habits, like a freaking monk. Work, meditate, read, work out, eat healthy food, sleep at the same time and all that stuff always in place. But when I achieve my goal or goal loses its importance to me, I fall into limbo or smth where I just do the bare minimum of good habits and watch entertaining mindless videos, play videogames with friends from my high school that I hate and stay up late.

How do you avoid such phases in life?

The main thing is that I lose my passion towards life, it is very flowing with ups and downs. Leo seems like a robot who grinds on his life purpose for 13 freaking years. That`s insane.

How do you not lose this passion towards life?

@Rafael Thundercat Which videos do you recommend?

see "life unfolds in chapters and phases" and "ego backlash" episodes
also, you probably need an answer uniquely to your life and where you are at currently.

I think it is waking up with a fire inside knowing you have things to do today.

Factor in down time each calendar month. Time where you do anything you feel like. Like for me I meditate 25 days a month and 5 days are anything goes. I usually put all my cheat days at the end of the month so I can have a good break.

The cycle between productive work and slacking off is normal and I would say healthy. Although that can take many forms. It normally takes years of disciplined work until you reach a steady source of tranquility. Also depends on age, I know you're very young, you've shared it, and so don't freak out too much and just keep going.

I am the impossible made reality.

What is the point you are asking? This is life of meaning. Meaningful life. Having meaning/purpose in life is the most important thing for me besides that it should be true (i.e. truth).

@SimpleGuy The hard truth is there's no way around it. You can minimize it as much as possible but sometimes you're down and you only want some comfort in your coping mechanisms.

What certainly helps is not torturing yourself more when you're down, as that makes you more down and making you fall back into more coping mechanisms.

A trick is that motivation doesn't bread actions when you're down but action brings motivation, so if you want to breakthrough the natural pendulum of ups and downs in life you gotta do what makes you good, which is easier said than done.

The better you do the worse the pendulum will swing, these are the mechanics of life, but if you do it correctly you'll see the upward tendency.

May Infinite of Love be with us❤️

Edited by Davino

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God
