  1. 1. Do you count calories and macros?

    • Yes, I track everything.

    • I am aware of calories and macros, but maintain a certain degree of flexibility with my daily food choices. But by the end of the day, I know the exact amount of calories (and macros) I have consumed.

    • No, I don't track anything. I eat completely intuitively.
  2. 2. If you chose 1/2/3/4: please explain in the comments below why you think said approach is or isn't ideal or healthy for you. Is everything perfect as it is, or does it feel like you need to make changes in either direction (more tracking, less tracking) to improve your overall well-being?

Edamame(soy) with soy sauce is a snack, used as appetizers at restsurants. Addictive.

I might try that.

Hummus is my thing in that sense, though - dipping red bell pepper into it.

Eating like goats xD

Yeah, legumes are awesome. I've never tried soy except in milk form, though.

have you never tried tofu? i'd recommend you give it a go, but you need a proper recipe or buy smoked/pre-seasoned tofu.

I have, now that I recall, but didn't have a proper recipe and it wasn't pre-seasoned and so the dish turned out to be as flavorful as bread. It's not really my thing but I've asked Claude for some recipes.

I'll suggest pad Thai with crispy tofu, one of my favorite meals.

I eat to maximize state. I track state over time not calories.

This food = this state.

This quantity of this food = this state.

This frequency of eating = this state.

This food = this mental performance.

This food = this physical performance.

This food = this sexual performance.

This = this pain.

This = this sleep quality.

Doing this  = causes this.

This sun expore at this time = this sleep quality, this digestion quality, this core default temperature, this...

Hundrends of experiments tracking hundereds of variables.

All stored in memory. Its automatic.

Experimentation, Observation

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

@integral you're touching on something interesting there. i find the shift in state from before eating vs after to be one of the toughest parts of eating to navigate (as someone with eating disorder history), and i don't see a lot of people talking about how this shift in state (which is significant once you start paying attention) is even a thing.

do you eat meat or are you vegetarian? and how do you think plant foods vs eggs/dairy vs meat impact your state?

At one point I realized that there are millions of people who don't track calories, protein, supplement, and all this modern jargon we are hype-fed in the modern world that are perfectly healthy and fine and live long and comfortable lives. Like wtf am i stressing and overthinking everything? Am i living to eat or do i simply need to eat to live? So i dropped all that stuff, including most supplements, found so much more peace, and with simplicity came more balanced health, not thinking about food / calories / nutrition all the time, i realized the body is an expression of consciousness which is infinitely intelligent, so when you simply allow it to be itself and do its thing, and consume whole natural organic (whole-foods), and you know what, it works, all by itself, and when sick, all you have to do is fast, and it heals, all by itself.

I haven't been sick or been to the doctors in maybe 5 years and that was for a blood test just out of curiosity and all levels came back normal, being mostly high-raw vegan 15 years, no supplements for few years now, besides occasional experiments with MSM. Last time i got sick was during covid because i was at a new years eve gathering and everyone got it. I was sick and completely restored in 24 hours cause i fasted and just drank herbal tea and ginger, turmeric, pineapple, lemon juice shot I made laying by the river and rested. Everyone else took 1 - 2 weeks to recover both vaccinated and unvaccinated people. I didn't get the jab because its always been common sense for me, I value my natural immunity and do not believe in tampering with nature too much. I know people who got 3 - 4 jabs and still get sick very often and still got covid multiple times.

In fact i know more people who... Well lets not go into this discussion. The truth and results speak for itself.
