Leo is not getting enough credit

25 posts in this topic

How is it that one of if not the greatest synthesizer and sense maker in history, with a gigantic body of work not get the credit he deserves? this guy mapped everything holistically, figured out life basically and he still is so niche?

do you think his teachings will spread more now that he is planning to get into more podcasts and is writing a book?

Because he’s basically known for just being a Youtuber now.

I think having written great books could vastly increase his fame in the future. Especially in the far future, perhaps beyond our lifetime.

Podcasts can raise his fame now.

Words can't describe You.

Cause its too crazy.

People might use the word solipsism and its over but he made detailed videos on why its solipsism. Its different level and if you pick it apart for the person they will get scared. Only awakened can handle it and even some of them cannot. Leos videos are almost designed for people who have awakened and then need help deciphering what the fuck just happened.

Most people think awakening has something to do with the government. Solipsism throws that right out the window.

It is proper punctuation. Nothing more.

It isn't a tone setting element of a sentence.

I notice that many people of the younger generations see full stops as a tonal implication of 'firmness' 'finality' or strict conviction. It is not so - but lackadaisical internet speaking can make it appear that way :)

He hasn't figured out anything grand per se, rather mostly relayed things others have already figured out, just expressed and explained it differently that "clicked for you". There is a reason why Leo has this amount of followers and someone more famous in consciousness work has that amount.

Generally speaking, the closer you are to and embody the truth, and have stabilized in it (consistency), the more powerful and magnetic and noticeable you become, (if you take that path of recognition and exposure). Of course this isn't an absolute, as there are some people who are just as grand in consciousness work but prefer to be a zen cat in solitude and not well known or exposed. I know quite a few masters out there.

Some members on this forum are just as realized and refined, but sometimes recognition is the least appealing or needed thing in ones life.

People have asked me many times to write books and go up on stage and speak, and i often reply that I shine where i stand, I don't need any more or less recognition, rather i am here to see you shine, help you expand, i wanna read your books, i wanna see you on stage, i am at your service.

Some of us are more like taoist sages, and prefer our own little one on one's and smaller circles. Believe me, I could go on that path and claim the whole world, but the thing is, i already do and have, in my own way, and yet its more masterful, because it doesn't come with the excess baggage ;)

The deeper you go into yourself, the more you remember you have already conquered mountains, simply as you are. Buddhas and Christs are a thing of the past, now it will be more of a collective wave of such consciousness, everyone will be alike a Buddha or Christ, no one will be shining more or less.

This is the new age of awakening and rise of consciousness.

I am but a reflection... a mirror... of you... of me... in a cosmic dance ~ of a unified mystery...

That's why I need to write the book. It is overdue.

Leo doesn't do marketing and if you don't do marketing people won't find out about you.

There used to be lots of clips being released.

Clips allow people who are curious but not fully baught in to test the waters.

People who are unsure will often be turned off by a 2 - 3 hour video. Clips and even possibly shorts reels in newcomers

A book on your teachings would be better and more immersive because everyone would be able to go at their own pace. When I watch your videos it's really regressive in terms of what I take away from the video because it just goes on on its own pace. But with a book the depth of each sentence can be explored as deeply as demanded sequentially.

You can pause a video as much as you pause a book.

@Sincerity yeah true. but even if he's just a youtuber, if people have the right epistemic attitude and approach. they would eventually stumble upon his work, especially big names and researchers and organizations. and that's why I'm surprised not so many do.

@Ramasta9 but you forgot that spirituality and consciousness is just one tiny part of the map. Leo's approach is practical at the beginning then evolved to more epistemology, consciousness and spirituality. it combines left brain and right brain. from basic survival to business to life purpose to consciousness, to science to social sciences and lot more and how they all interconnect, and why and how and all the epistemic questions. it's holistic.

@Zen LaCroix okay hear me out, i get how important marketing is but,

in a field like epistemology, genuinely original work should eventually surface through inquiry itself. What strikes me as strange is that Leo Gura’s work hasn’t meaningfully penetrated circles that explicitly care about epistemology and sense-making.

If someone has a rigorous epistemic attitude, genuine curiosity, openness, and a willingness to question materialist assumptions, it seems almost inevitable that they’d eventually encounter his work. The fact that many lifelong intellectuals never do raises a question for me: is it a limitation of exposure and incentives within academia, or a form of epistemic closed-mindedness toward non-institutional sources?

I’m not claiming Leo is beyond critique. I’m saying it’s odd that people devoted to understanding reality can spend decades in that pursuit and never seriously engage with one of the more radical contemporary explorations of epistemology and consciousness.

Just being helpful.

The problem with spreading your teachings is misunderstanding/pedestalization. Look at Osho, Adi Da, etc. I hope that Leo's work impact people on a positive way.

Will you be doing much marketing for the book when it comes out ? Do you think there's a net positive for society in you being more ++ known than you already are or it takes away too much time from your other practices ?

I hope to find a publisher for it and have them help with marketing. But this is unclear yet.

Mostly though, I am hoping for word of mouth to work because it is a rare, niche kind of book. It is not a mainstream book but hopefully a "cult classic" sort.

I will do podcasts and such to help promote it.
