Is looksmaxxing worth it?- Lets finally get to the bottom of this.

14 posts in this topic

Although this forum leans heavily toward PUA thinking and tends to put “game” on a pedestal, it’s obvious that looks still play a major role. Even Leo eventually acknowledged this, saying that looks and status are among the most important factors in dating—despite previously claiming the opposite and stating in earlier videos that looks don’t matter.

Looksmaxxing has become increasingly popular, and for many people it can lead to significant improvements in appearance. That said, it also comes with time, effort, and some risk. What I’m really trying to figure out is whether looksmaxxing offers a high enough ROI to justify those costs.

At the core, looksmaxxing basically comes down to:

Getting in shape

Skincare

Haircare (minoxidil, finasteride)

Improving fashion

So the main question is: is looksmaxxing actually worth to get laid?

And as a follow-up—if anyone has firsthand experience—was starting finasteride worth it for you?

I think preserving hair is like a very big part of that, but finasteride seems scary.

Thanks for the responses in advance!

Of course it is worth it.

The mistake many make is that it accounts for all domains of attraction.

Looksmaxxing is nothing new. The name is just a rebrand of what women have done - forever :P

The previous term for this was a 'metrosexual' man.

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

Yes, it will improve your overall confidence and results.

Don't take it too far.

Yeah, hardmaxxing is where it steps into cope territory. Overinvesting in one area is never a good strategy.

You want to get past the character selection screen to actually play the game.

You should be trying to max everything if you're currently focused on self improvement / dating.

The four things you stated definitely yes do them esp working out and fashion, but all will make you feel more confident and make you look better. The key is dont obsess over them just make them part of your routine. When you start getting into black pill territory focusing on mandible tilts and whatever else, this is basically body dysmorhpia. Also the roi is not even worth it, women dont care past a certain point, in fact it would in most cases be off putting that you care so much

Of course it's worth it, women care about looks just as much if not more than men. All red flags and standards go out of the window for hot guys. You can be a toxic, narcissistic, emotionally unavailable Nazi and will still love you if you are hot. Looksmaxxing is trending precisely because men have observed what women actually respond to instead of just listening to what women claim to like.

OP this is what you DON'T want to do - this is thinking that focusing on looks will mean you have success across all attention/attraction domains. The above is part of the PSL internet black pill rhetoric.

Balance.

From my experience this is quite false. Looks are not really the driving factor of womans attraction. Not to mention that this viewpoint is quite toxic.

Dude, this mindset towards woman will keep you on a dark state of consciousness.

You talk like all women are just dark spirits trying to hurt your feelings, extract value and exploit your insecurities.

Damn, chill bro.

You should avoid Finasteride by all means.

"Finasteride, by inhibiting 5α-reductase, reduces the synthesis of neurosteroids, brain hormones that regulate mood, particularly allopregnanolone. Think of it as chemically castrating your brain's ability to maintain emotional stability."

Go for Minoxidil, Rosmarine-Oil and Derma Pen 1x a week.
