If you are introverted, you need less status and money to have a happy life

If you are introverted, you need less socialization. If you need less socialization, you need less money and status too. Haven't you noticed that people that enjoy loads of money are usually social and status zombies? Their whole game is: impressing others, chasing titles and going places; and of course this needs loads of money to maintain.

If one values wisdom, intelligence, and beauty, you usually wont be socializing much like most of humanity; and I think a lot of people here do value this things. Most learning happens when you are sitting in a room by yourself, while looking at a book or some screen. Want to write a cool story? You will be in a room. Want to learn a new instrument and create music? You will be in a room. Want to create a new game? You will be in a a room. You wont be learning by leaps and bound by being a social zombie or chasing status. The path of wisdom is a interior path, not a exterior one, at least it has been this way since the dawn of civilization.

A important question one can ask is: How much socialization do I need? Which in turn will usually tell how much money and status you will need to have a happy life.

You can be highly social without caring about stutus or money. This is like what hippies are.

However, you are right that people who chase money also tend to chase status and they tend to socialize a lot.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

I want to contemplate on what status is. I think it is much deeper than some people think.

I believe, when people chase status, they are doing the same thing as us which is trying to live a meaningful life.

What people need to realize is, that it is not obvious at all that sitting alone in a room and thinking about stuff is meaningful. Especially if you are not particularly good at thinking.

They are getting their meaning from socializing, approval and identity. Now one could judge this and say it's shallow and external or superficial. But I want to give a different perspective: What if we are the ones who are only superficial when it comes to seeing meaning in connection? What if these supposed status chasers are as brilliant at seeing the value in social relations, as we are in seeing meaning in theory?

Its just another modus operandi and their way of meaning making.

They are wired differently, just as we are. From a philosophical perspective it is a bit shallow, but not everyone, not even most are philosophical(and thats ok). That wasnt the case thousands of years ago when the setting was more conducive, it is certainly not the case right now with thousands of distractions and tech preventing you from contemplating stuff deeply.

Just don't fall on a trap to use this narrative to be lazy.

If you need money, you gotta work for it. Coping will not solve your survival problems.

I`m ENTJ and I don`t agree with you much.

If you are an ENTJ you are not introverted -- according to that model.

That's not really true. Introverts will still suffer because they can overthink a lot. Sometimes they get abused a lot by others but they just overthink their way to misery.

They will still suffer just like everyone else lol.

They might overthink stuff but that overthinking doesnt necessarily involves money or status.

Spot on.

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."
