Who on this forum is going to watch the Super Bowl? 🏈

Hey everyone. This Sunday, February 8, the National Football League (NFL) is hosting Super Bowl LX. It will be held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and the two teams competing are the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.

I’m writing this thread because I’m curious whether anyone in this community, particularly spiritual people and who care about whether or not something is “high-consciousness”, and being highly conscious, are planning to watch the game this Sunday.

I’ve heard Leo criticize sports and sports fans many times in his videos. In his video about wisdom, he cited sports fans as an example of fools. He called the Olympics a cult in his video about life being a mind game, and of course, we can’t forget this classic, skip to 21:50 in the video below.

I don’t know yet if I want to watch the Super Bowl yet. I support the Baltimore Ravens and I try to watch them play when I can. 
 

I def want the Seahawks to win, they have only one Super Bowl trophy and the Pats have six.

Nah, I'll watch the real football (soccer) World Cup next summer - unless it somehow gets sabotaged because of what's going on in the U.S.

I used to watch ball games as a child and teenager, but i enjoyed playing them more. Now i just see monkeys running around chasing a ball and getting paid ridiculously high for it cause so many people enjoy watching monkeys chase balls i guess... The Olympics is sometimes fun to glimpse if i ever am watching tv, but yeah again, as your brain expands, it starts to look more and more stupid and becomes a waste of time, same old patterns.

You can actually abstract this conclusion to cover almost any human activity actually.  I'm not a huge fan of sports, but I will say this in its defense -- most people don't understand the intricacies that are going on and the strategies that are going on in a football game.  It's deeper than it looks on the surface.

The Super Bowl is really an event or happening that gives a reason to come together.  It's an event where we may (or not) rally around.  You might laugh at this, but it's true. 

It's funny because this is not a bug, it's a feature.  We want to laugh.  Who doesn't?  We want to engage thru laughter. That's Love, in part.  Relation thru amusement.
