I think this is accurate. If you’re truly ‘free’ there should be no tension between anyone in your life, including your family members.

I don't have my parents anymore, but I do have a sister that believes in the all mighty $$ over all else. If it were someone else, I could care less. But being my sis, I can't help it but to sometimes feel disappointed in what she values most.

When the secret is revealed to you, you will know that you are not other than God, but that you yourself are the object of your quest.

Try working with your Dad, younger brothers, younger sister (in a construction business, no less) and then tutoring your half brother on the weekends (who lives with Mum).

I tell you what being confronted with stiff socks and stained curtains in the half brothers room IS SOMETHING ELSE.

Family has a way of making you revert to patterns one was under the impression had dissolved...

I do alright :)

I am not sure how you experience this - but my sister is a narcissist :( and very materialistic.

I just end up really confused around her now. I don't understand her or relate. It is almost like she hasn't got a fully formed personality yet (at 34 with kids) so has substituted integrity and substance for materialism and attainment.
