What You Do Instead Of Meditation?

19 posts in this topic

Hi, rn I`m talking to people who don`t meditate but do other activities that are kinda replacing meditation. So, what you do instead of meditation?

Live mindfully, whatever you do, live / be fully, be grand, be your whole in everything. I used to meditate more in my earlier days, but now my life has become like a blend between meditation and living. I still meditate from time to time, but less becomes more as depth widens.

If you know how to meditate properly, you only really need a few moments to return to balance and alignment. And its really all about surrendering and resting with your body and breath.

These days I i find myself living more presently, with the fullness of my being, that in itself is the transformed meditation.

I am but a reflection... a mirror... of you... of me... in a cosmic dance of separative... unity...

Sitting in silence and. contemplating, exploring one's psyche, mind. Seeing patterns in one's behaviour. Using your imagination like a tripping tool.

In the Vast Expanse everything that arises is Lively Awakened Awareness.

Walking in nature, listening to music, going for a nighttime drive, etc. I have tried the normal way to meditate it just does not work for me.

I am like immune to meditation; the obstacle would be me. Two grams of mushrooms puts me in full meditation mode, which is cool.

Are you sure that it wasn`t some laziness or whatever?

Tons of introspection while walking in nature.

More efficient than anything else.

Just questioning your thoughts and feelings? More efficient than writing it out?

How can I do this? I always struggle to be mindful throughout the day. I feel that I am forcing it

Find things you do or enjoying doing that keep you actively engaged and more present with the task at hand, rather than multi tasking / overthinking.

Like going for a walk; simply go for a walk, don't bring a phone or headphones to listen to music, but learn to listen to nature, use your eyes, nose, senses and embrace the fullness of whatever it is you are doing.

When you eat, don't scroll or watch tv or do anything else, just eat and enjoy the meal fully, close your eyes, embrace the flavours and textures, and can be done this way, everything really, daily chores, exercise, shower, even watching a movie. This is a form of meditation in itself.

There are many examples of being mindful and it really means being fully present with the moment or task or activity at hand and engaging fully.

The Dog here is a good example of being Mindful :)
