What's the point of trying to understand reality, if reality is mystical?

You say this yet you also claim a concrete process in which consciousness is derived from.  That neurons create consciousness.  Yet this concrete process you fail to decipher.

I told you many times, but you don't want to consider it.

Materialism fails at all angles.  Drop it.  You should be able to see how it fails as bright as you are.  It frightens me that you cannot see it being how smart you are.

The power of cognitive bias. The smartest people have the full strength of their intellect working against them if they aren't aware of their thinking patterns....

It is far easier to trick someone, than to convince them they have been tricked.

I cant describe it to you but it is a state.   And if you ever do become omniscient you will know and understand all. Isn't that all that matters.  In that moment what Josh or David had for breakfast doesn't mean anything

I've witnessed some crazy shit, but knowing all was never a thing.

I've rode light beams across the universe. I've experienced eternity in a single second. I've bent time and space. I've seen literal sound and heard sight. And before all that, I was questioning consciousness since I was 4 years old. But I've never experienced omniscience.

Based on all my travels, I feel very safe in saying that if I did experience it, I would chalk it up as either a transient delusion or an interesting truth that isn't compatible with the current reality.

Not to diminish the absurdity of it all - it's all absolutely insane and what can be imagined can be witnessed, but when the dust settles and you have to explain your experience and function in the reality before you this very moment, it's irresponsible to cling to your imaginatory revelations.

THIS reality YOU are in NOW is THE actual reality that exists.

If it's not clear, THIS reality is DOMINANT for A reason. You want to escape it or want it to be different, but reality demands THIS reality be dominant.

My middle name is david, btw. lol

Where is cognitive bias present?

materialism means nothing; matter is ultimately a local vibration of reality, not a thing. Matter is made of change, same than anything else that exists

@Inliytened1

What do you make of THIS reality? The everyday reality. Here and now.

Is it just an illusion? Is it some sort of purgatory? Some sort of lesser reality?

It's like you try to understand something, only to reach the conclusion that you cant understand it.

IMO It's just entertaining for the mind, the mind survives in movements, the Absolute or the Truth doesn't seek to understand as it's perfect doesn't have such desires, Being is all that's real. pure and simple. Mind's capacity to imagine is limitless and loves complexity and so it's desire to understand himself is also never ends. Mind doesn't settle for simple Truth as it doesn't survive that.

@Ishanga the question is is consciousness made of atoms or is it just mystical.

Consciousness meaning the foundation of reality correct, aka Brahma or Shiva/God/Absolute, is not created by atoms and is definitely Mystical, that is what was there before creation or Big Bang is Mystical, since then with atoms being born it is still complex but not as mystical imo, eventually science will explain it all from the Big Bang on, but not before Big Bang.. They say the observable universe is only 10% of what is really out there, Dark Matter/Energy makes up the rest and they don't know what it is, so there You go, that is Mystical..

Most minds love simplicity.

Also, one can not know what is unnecessary complexity without having traversed that landscape and seen their folly, so how can it know when it's being too simple or too complex?

You can tell it "Hey, you're being too simple, think harder" or "you're being too complex, don't think as much", but how can the mind even have a good clue as to which is right?

Only one way to know.

Actually most minds loves to create complexity out of almost every situations. It's in the nature of the mind to make a lot of movements as it survives in such waves. Go look out in the world, Talk to people.

Basically you are saying, how do we know if the truth is simple or complex.

It's neither actually.

Cause the Truth most transcend the mind as the mind can only see a thing or a situation as complex or simple, labeling is a thing the mind does. But there could be states in which the mind and thinking isn't there but the truth remains the same.

Truth just is.

What is consciousness in the absolute absence of limits and form, without time, becoming, duality or change?
