AI Alan Watts is INSANE

14 posts in this topic

I put this one on as I went to bed. I was very careful listening to it and I was confident it's not AI. His voice and this audio sounds so authentic, until he started to speak about social media.

If AI voice is already this good, you never really know if voice is authentic or not.

That is beyond disrespectful using Alan for ai slop. Basically disrespecting God.

Haha savage

But accurate !

It is far easier to trick someone, than to convince them they have been tricked.

I feel the same.

I hate it when people steal the voices of dead people to narrate an AI-generated text to farm views.

I love listening to Alan Watts especially years ago but now YouTube's algorithm is spitting up AI shit. I'm cautious to listen to it and I'm glad I'm getting some feedback here because it doesn't sound real and authentic. And I don't want my mind to get filled with plastic flowers of Alan Watts

The thing is, they could use AI to improve audio quality of original talks, it'll probably get more views too. I don't understand the need to create new scripts and use Alan Watt's voice for that.

It's disturbing.

Just using authority (Alan Watts) to farm views on YT and make money. Probably some 15 yo wanting to buy a lambo who couldn't care less about Alan Watts or any teacher.

Yeah, this is forgery. Imagine if he was alive, what would he think? Well, actually he would probably just laugh as he does with everything else. But he would for sure follow it up with some chilled out logical point about how this can mislead people. Until such a time as AI is equal or greater than the human brain in its ability to have actual insight, people should not be faking teachers. Cuz you know they're going to kindly forget to put on it anywhere that's it's not the guy himself.

No, my point is that his original stuff gets millions of views. If you remaster the audio you'll probably get more views than creating these weird new scripts. It's just not well thought out.

I saw something similar recently for Wayne Dyer. Just AI slop. It blows.

What assumptions, beliefs, or illusions am I under right now?
