There is "something" because its a Possibility..  Taking out all the esoteric words and religious languages and such, if You look at what God is supposed to represent, it reps Potential and Possibility.  

We are here to play out this game of Potential and Possibility via Existence coming forth, and Experience being possible, and its within a certain sort of Rules paradigm or game, with our set of physics and limitations, maybe/probably there are other places in the universe or other realms where others ways of existence (non carbon) are set up and another sort of "game" is being played, but in the end its all about Potentials/Possibilities coming to life and Experiences being born within an entity of sorts...

Here there are all sorts of factors at play, Karma, Duality, Conditioning, Cultures, General Intelligence, Creativity, Ego's, all of this are various degrees and intensities for each entity or individual form..

As well, God/Absolute wants to Experience itself, this is not possible if Experience is not present, so that is how I would say it and understand it!

Ah you were serious. "Why" is a human question. God doesn't give a rat's patoot about why, unless you believe God is intrinsically a human-like figure like stereotypical monotheists think. God just does what God does. God is like a dog: you don't ask a dog "why do you sniff everything?". Dogs simply sniff, they can't answer "why" or explicate a grand plan.

One could say the Dogs can't because they don't know any better, but this is not the case with God.

Although I think theres no ultimate reason of God's actions -- by being spontaneous without a cause and thus Love(circular and loopy). There could be some universal truths about God's way of being, actions and design, and those could be explained. Like karma, learning or something like that.

Was definitely a rhetorical sort of question as it is one of the fundamental philosophical questions with no single agreed-upon answer
