And that… is rare.

You have to find the right sub-culture. You seem to really value this, other people do too. You need to find your tribe. Most people that do volunteer work tend to be sincerely compassionate, maybe check out some volunteer opportunities and find people.

Try being broke, humiliated, rejected, invisible — and see how long kindness lasts. Even from yourself. It doesn’t show up like a guardian angel. It starves.

I am all that trust me broke humiliated rejected 1000+ times and treated like a clown, but it only takes 30 minutes for all those thoughts to disappear like a dark cloud. The sun will shine again 30 minutes of true silence and presence no rumination just focus on your breath put on some good music that helps you be calm ,

Yeah I hear what you're saying, ChessKing, and I’m not against kindness — but I’m not gonna romanticize it either. Especially not the kind people perform after the damage has already been done.

And TribeSolution — that whole “we need to rebuild the tribe” thing might sound noble, but let’s be honest. Most support roles are paid guilt. I do disability work. I’m kind on the job, I show up, I care. But it's still guilt-driven. Guilt for how far the world isn’t kind. We’re paid to offer what the system stripped away. That’s not transcendent. It’s survival. It’s patching holes in a sinking boat.

People meditate to escape, not because they’ve transcended anything. I’ve tried it. But like Alan Watts said — it’s medicine, not a lifestyle. And even then, it’s just temporary relief. A break from the noise. The melancholy always returns when the room goes quiet again.

Peace? If you ever really felt it, like truly deep down peace, I think it’d dissolve the human illusion entirely. And I’m not sure that’s possible without death. So what does that leave us with?

Kindness is just what people do when they can’t face the full weight of cruelty they’ve caused or been complicit in. Or worse — when they want to believe they’re good without ever risking anything.

So yeah, we survive. We do our part. But let’s not pretend this is a fair trade.

You can end parts of yourself that are no longer in service to your highest potential.

@Yeah Yeah Sorry to hear of your situation.

Spirituality does not give any answers as far as what you are allowed to do in life. You can do anything you want, and there will be whatever natural consequences.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

You said somewhere that if you had to work a meaningless job and being trapped not being able to do what you enjoy the most you'd kill yourself.

Would that be a blind jump / would you take the risk of spawning in an even worse situation, or you know you could choose something better and if so why haven't you chose a better situation for this life from the beginning?

It's so freeing to think of suicide as not something bad and punishable by whatever, but something that an immortal God could do with zero guilt.

Edit: Just to not give the impression that I support suicide, I think that most lives are worth living. There's always something good that you appreciate about your current life and many situations are not as hopeless or bad as the mind make it seem. The difficulty is in not getting entangled in negativity all the time, because during one of these episodes of entanglement you're most likely to do something stupid.

Life is a gift nobody asked for and it is my opinion that nobody can force you to keep and like a gift although it was you all along. It is all about the freedom to be as you are and choose life or death. It is this freedom which is also the seed of consciousness which is the birth, death and perhaps resurrection of your self. All it takes it to have the courage to be as yourself for yourself despite yourself.

@Yeah Yeah You are still young, you have good chances, especially if you are in a western country. If you are not, priority number 1 is to escape.

You are also disillusioned about life, closer to reality, that gives you an edge over the fools. Unfortunatelly the struggle is not optional. Most of us will have to struggle to the end. That seems to be by design. Hard limits, solid boundaries, feelings of drag, grift, grind, exhaustion. Imagine being all powerful and your will materializing instantly, for eternity, you would probably design a world like ours for a change. That's how I think about it.
