@Leo Gura, I am curious whether you have developed a unique process of getting to those insane states with psychedelics besides increasing the dose. 

When you get to those states, how functional are you? Can you contemplate, for example, or does the psychedelic take the lead?

I read in some of your posts that you said that psychedelics destabilize the mind. If it only does that, then how can you still trust it? Or did you mean something else?

How do you prepare to not harm yourself in those states? Are you able to remind yourself that you will come back to your normal state?

Dude, I only need a small dose and it is insane.

It deepens as you trip more and your understanding deepens.

After 500 trips, every trip is insane.

Building depth of understanding is crucial. All my epistemology and ontology work means my trips are insanely profound.

Taking weird drugs helps. Salvia and DMT will royally mindfuck you.

It mostly takes over but I still contemplate in the midst of it. The contemplation is automatic for me.

It can get wildly out of control.

How can you trust the sober mind? Either way the mind can lie. You gotta be extra mindful of self-deception mechanisms and fantasy. And allow lots of time after the trip for your ideas to settle.

That's difficult. There is no guarantee. I have harmed myself badly several times because the trip just went too wild.

Lock all your dangerous items away. Lock yourself in a small room without windows or dangers.

@Leo Gura, the last time I tripped on DMT, I was too shocked to even remember breathing. Getting out of breath wasn't even painful at that point.

I worry that I might accidentally harm myself.

This is a valid worry. Do not ignore it. You must be extra careful in every way conceivable. Anticipate dangers before you trip.

If you keep doses low to mid then danger is low. If you do high doses danger increases exponentially. It's the high doses that will cripple you.

@Leo Gura, I noticed that when I focus on discovering the truth, streams of thoughts come to my mind that are profound and deep at that moment.

In my normal state, I cannot fully entertain them, at least not for now.

So, no, I wasn't denying the video before watching it. There are true accounts of paranormal abilities, but nothing in this particular case seems legit.

I haven't had a complete replacement of my visual field on DMT yet, but, man, the geometric overlays were insane. I didn't expect to experience the transformations of objects the way I did, which was beautiful. And then it got even more mystical.

I still cannot properly smoke DMT, so I cannot confidently provide the specific dose. However, I notice the effects starting from 10 mg to 30 mg. I took 4-5 hits.

You didn't atack me, you mentioned all this and yet he married Dalida that sold 170 million records, anyway all these things that you mentioned don't matter at all. Maybe some day you will understand it, in your current spiritual progression you won't comprehend it. Probably the most epic state you ca reach Only via meditation is classic Cessation or the Reboot of Consciousness.

Other interesting states include Jhanas, non-doing and Equanimity.

Imo, Psychedelics are King. But I love yoga, meditation and contemplating, they all synergize. And I love doing yoga and meditation on psychedelics as well.

 

I've heard directly from Andrew Holecek (Buddhist teacher, experienced meditator , author of some nice books about Dream Yoga, meditation) that darkness retreats got him to the exact same spot that that 5-MEO did (he tried 5-MEO afterwards) . 

He compares 5-MEO to Extinction , not Cessation, probably not reachable by "normal" meditative practices , but I guess the "Samadhi" state somebody like Ramakrishna (a few selected humans, no chance for the normal guy) is talking about, would be very close to a peak 5-MEO experience.

Would like to hear your thoughts on this.

Darkness retreats may trigger indigenous production of chemicals and drugs in the brain. Although research is still not conclusive or generalised in that domain.

I don't know what exact terminologies that teacher is using.

Ramakrishna was definitely a genetic freak, just study his life, outstanding dedication with one in a million genetics. That's what it takes to be world class.

On the contrary, it matters. Marrying Dalida does not prove anything. Dismissing everything I pointed out and resorting to targeting me as a defense mechanism shows that you lack honesty and that you are caught up in beliefs. That is not a sign of spiritual advancement.
