Meditation Retreats Vs. At-Home Retreat????

@Leo Gura @Davino What do you think of The Mind Illuminated meditation by John Yates? I’m going to try that out this week. I got the book and am going to do the work.

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

@r0ckyreed For what I've researched seems quite a legit system. My experience with breathing awareness is the shift that happens from human-breathing to universal-breathing. Suddenly, I see the whole room and universe breathing, in and out. That's the further I've reached with such techniques, it's good as one gets to Oneness states of consciousness and from there you can combine with other techniques.

What I like about breathing is that if mastered as practice its benefits follow you, as one breathes all the time, it's easy to reconnect.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

Awesome stuff dude, I've done loads of organised retreats like vipassanas ect and also I've done almost two years in a self silent retreat at home during the lockdowns. The home retreats I find takes longer to get into it as it requires a lot more self discipline but when you start to get going by your own efforts it's amazing and you can varie it up more and practice different techniques or even introduce other ideas. Maybe start with a few ten day vipassanas then work your way into a retreat at home when you feel ready

Yes.

The goal is to completely get out of your conceptual mind. No concepts at all. Exist without concepts for 10 days straight. That's what leads to breakthroughs. When you entertain concepts you fall back into ego consciousness.

The conceptual mind is what's killing your progress.

Excellent.

Excellent meant excellent. He is completely correct with his statement.

The ship is on course so to say, so godspeed.

For me. it seems he is currently a bit irritated with the corruption of the fellow members of our human-family. Who could disagree concerning that, here on our lovely planet Earth where in our times it seems that mostly the 2nd,3rd and 4th graders of the Kosmic Kindergarten Schnool of Souls incarnate?

The cure for that is compassion/love/Boddhichitta, or else one continues a bit, um, irritated considering all the daily show of madness of this world. Awakening and and compassion/love are the two legs on which stable Awakening in daily life rests, but he will find that out also in time In schāʾa ʾllāh if God wills. And then he will smile on all children of his Infinite Being. And the children will tend to smile back.

Imo compassion sounds arrogant since implies that I am above those people, but I forgive them. This implies that I am "forgiving" reality for being as it is, when it manifestation is an infinite mechanism that flows in infinite dimensions in a synchronized and perfect way. Therefore, instead of having compassion, I should set aside my personal human opinion and understand the absolute harmony of what is, and in doing so, exclaim: hallelujah! as an expression of total joy that total unlimitedness is, whether in its essence or in its form, even I'm in the middle of the ruins of Gaza. Of course, we are humans and our human conditioning is strong and prevent us to see beyond the walls of our cave

I just used the focus 10 signal from the Monroe Expand app to enhance my Vipassana. Afterward I took a nap and between sleep and wake my coat rack turned into a hooded figure , turned around and glared at me a few times.

Maybe skip the app.

Sharing because it's a valuable resource  if it agrees with you. But perhaps not for me.
