Does finding your Life purpose give you better chances at success?

9 posts in this topic

If you find a deeper purpose within yourself, does it give you a better chance to be successful.

Note: My life purpose has becoming clearer for me, it has to do with Music, I feel that a radical change needs to start happening in service of Life purpose, how to begin?

Begin by finding your life purpose. Life purpose is like a more ''truthful'' version of success—something that aligns with your values and strengths, something that can help others.

You might need to start by being financially independent first, or maybe your life purpose allows you to go all-in right away. Only you know.

I suggest contemplating hard and crafting a plan that's unique for you.

Nope. Finding your purpose doesn't make you more successful per se. Success is a very tricky term and can mean million different things. If you want to pursue music, go ahead and do it. I doubt music is your purpose, though. It could be a means to it if you feel passionate about it. So don't mix conventional success with purpose. And don't be surprised if you step on this journey and it takes you somewhere else eventually...

Finding and accepting your talent does. But if the talent aligns with your tastes and purpose is another question.

Ask yourself: What is success?

Finding your life purpose gives you meaning and value and hopefully a stable, passionate career that empowers and enlivens others and whatever etc....

Success, on the other hand, is akin to enlightenment, happiness, the end goal, surrender, being your higher self, achieving the object of your desire, or relinquishing it at once, in any case.

Success is abstract & open to definition. Life purpose, on the other hand, is pretty much which narrow niche are you gonna gear your life to, that is, your human life, your efforts in the world, your level of involvement with other people, etc..

They can exist codependently, and in fact this is prolly the only way shits gonna work out: if your life purpose exists ALONGSIDE Success. If you use your life purpose as a means to achieve success, prepare for disappointment.

Success only comes when you realize that you are Successful. And, as we mentioned, since Success is open to definition, the ball is in your court

Yes, because automatically it gives you a driving force.

Life purpose is about aligning your life more with your unique personal values and the kind of impact you want to have on the world. Life purpose is literally just what you are good at + the kind of impact you want to have on the world.

If you work hard at it you can find success but success (defined here as material gains) is not the end goal of having a life purpose. It means to not chase money and fame.

If you yourself wouldn't pay to do your life purpose it isn't your life purpose.
