This is a strawman of what he's teaching.

It's not about "beating every time". The point is simply that social skills get you laid more than if you didn't have them.

I’ll try to state what I’m saying without hyperbole and extremes. I don’t have much skin in this game. I don’t sell courses or knowledge products like him.

It’s just funny to me cause from my observation I’ve seen coaches in these spaces make compelling arguments for their respective sides: money / status / fitness vs social skills / body language / charisma and both do not have any incentive to be truly honest about what works or how this whole domain of life works. Everyone’s teaching on it is somewhat incomplete. Owen is not someone I would entirely believe everything he says. It’s like when you have this idea of how good someone is at what they do or how it is and then you meet your hero and you realize you were making it more special in your own mind. He’s loaded, he can throw mansion parties. There was a point he even started to pivot to mansion / social medie game briefly on YouTube because the market seemed to be wanting information on this, but I guess he’s now back to raw social skill? I’m not entirely familiar with his system or belief system or what he is selling these days.

The issue is Owen believes he is the reason all his coaches are successful because he took them from being an NPC in the matrix to giving them a platform to sell and get a reputation. Then all his coaches go through a pedestalize to disillusionment to demonization cycle about their guru who freed them from the matrix. Both of these create a dysfunctional teacher to student relationship

Probably the biggest BS from Owen that Gets ignored, is his physicsl body.

He constantly screams about healthy food and to leave out junk - yet you don’t get that fat and stay fat for probably over a decade at this point, by eating healthy & clean.

He has the money to eat, order & probably even have a part/full time personal chef. What’s the issue?

Popeyes.

I find Owen Cook’s popularity pretty incredible. Don’t people know he’s Tyler Durden from The Game?

Owen is a PR master. He turned all that bad publicity into a highly profitable business. He even said one time that his strategy was to flood YouTube with high-quality content so that when people search for him, all they'll find is hundreds of cool videos. When people watch those videos, they think, "Well, the guy isn't so bad," and then they buy his products, go to the free tour, and buy into more expensive programs. Genius.

The first video I saw from him was about meditation, never knew the guy, and thought: this guy is really insightful, let me see his other videos. And then I saw the pickup/personal development content and was hooked. And then, only later, I figured out he was Tyler from the Game, which I'd read a few years earlier.

Many people who get "canceled" or was involved into some shady stuff have this strategy. Here in Brazil, we have a spiritual "guru" who was accused of sexually abusing women; he even admitted to hooking up with one of his close followers' WIFE (he denied the sexual abuse, of course), then he was "cancelled" but he just kept low, posting for his die hard fans, growing in popularity again while his legal team took as much bad content about him on the internet as possible, then, a few years later, the guy is living as normal, with many followers, probably getting his dick sucked by a few of them.

That was WILD to me.

I have talked to a few people who still love the guy and questioned them about this.

They all said the same thing: "ohhh he is only a human, he makes mistakes too".

Like WTF, either you are a guru or not.

The guy wants people kissing his feet (literally) and worshipping him as a God but can't keep his dick in his pants, apparently.

I see. Interesting!

I don't think I've ever hated a character in a book as much. It's been a while since I read The Game, but I remember him as a really sociopathic creep.
