There is NOTHING. IT touches mind, and in utter simplicity, there's a sense of oneness as expanse. IT touches the intellect (the bifurcator), there's a sense of two/otherness. Simple. There are natural occurences within reality that make perceived or conceptualized objects bigger, smaller, added upon or subtracted from, or being in a certain positions relative to other such objects. Number is simply a concept that we use to quantify these facts
