Russell Brand Charged With Rape In UK

It's not even about looks and riches, it's the guy being perceived as being a womanizer. It was surprising to me when I learned that Wilt Chamberlain had a (posthumous) sexual assault allegation. Someone who led a playboy lifestyle and claimed to have slept with 20,000 women still resorted to forcing a woman into a sexual act.

I guess it's hard to get ones head around and I understand what you mean, as in if this girl says no just move on to the next who'll probably say yes. But I think what happens is they build up an entitlement around women as if they expect every woman to give them full access, so when one says no I think there's a certain  outrage they may feel and they just take what they think is 'theirs' anyway. It's like if a kid in nursery thinks a communal toy belongs to them, when another kid plays with it they instantly grab it back even if they have to be aggressive.

Also add in the fact that in Chamberlain's day very few men were getting charged with rape or sexual assault, so there's no consequences to dissuade him from doing it, not even social consequences.

Now it's still fairly easy to not get charged but there are significant social consequences, which you can argue is good or bad.

Isn't it obvious that people driven by sex have low character?

The issue of rape isn't lack of sex. The issue is lack of character.

@Leo Gura For me pick up isn't about the sex as much as it is about the growth, adventure and exploration of the seduction and romance field.

The rape card can def be overplayed. But Russell's past is egregious.

If anything, his past is probably worse than we know.

I agree. When one gets drunk with power they usually keep pushing the boundaries until something major happens to teach them their own limits.

Imagine the stories we haven't heard because the women are too embarassed to tell them.

You’re assuming he’s guilty just because he has a hedonist reputation. How do you know these accusations aren’t just retroactive rationalizations or women jumping on a clout bandwagon? That’s equally possible.

It's not just guesswork, we have credible convergent stories of his unethical behavior. Stories from his co-workers and producers, not just female victims.

There is no doubt that he abused his power to get sex. The only question is how criminal did it get?

Clout bandwagon is not equally possible, it is highly implausible.

Just look at the way he acts now... clearly not a man of integrity. He is a man child.

Most players are rapers. They court your no. A no is much respected and exciting than a yes. Your modesty is appreciated and the cue for him to up his game and his attention. Players never back off. Failure is unthinkable and in many cases has never happened. They seek challenge and disinterest. Yes is so boring.

I'm sure I could go in that direction if I wanted to.

Not to ring my own bell, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who has explored Femininity and sexuality as deeply as I have... as it's a very difficult process in its own rite because it brings you right up against questions and collective psycho-sexual dynamics that are very dangerous to your being and your sense of self as a woman.

So, the dynamic tends to be that men will explore as deeply into sexuality as the feel empowered by... which is like 3 layers deep with regard to human sexuality. And I call layer 3 that men often get stuck in as "the Tepid Place" because it is how it feels to be there as a woman.

But in the Tepid Place, it really emphasize the power deferential of Masculine over Feminine. And this will get glommed onto especially by men who feel very powerless to women.

And women generally will tend to avoid exploring the topic more deeply altogether because the Tepid Place feels as (and truly can be) a real impediment to personal power... especially those who have had men stuck in the Tepid Place try to lord themselves over them and claim a misplaced sense of superiority because of the superiority that does truly exist from the vantage point of the frame of the Tepid Place.

So, exploring this dynamic as a woman is like lowering yourself down in a deep collective Feminine wound that has been affecting men and women for many millennia.

So, the average woman gets stuck on the surface... and the average man gets stuck on level 3. And this gives a lot of men this sense of "Haha! I understand the Feminine better than women do."

But there are so many deeper layers to this dynamic... hundreds of dimensions. And there's so much that people don't understand. But the Feminine has been so deeply repressed that they crave the Feminine... but few are willing to swim into the psycho-sexual wound to access it.

And once you begin exploring this as a woman, there is no way to come to peace with it until you get to the very bottom of it and pass all the way through the innards of the Leviathan of your own sexuality, personal sovereignty, and power.

How's the book going?
