After watching Bloodlines, I decided to check out the rest of the Final Destination series, and it’s surprisingly good.

The fourth film is definitely the weakest, while five is probably my second favorite after Bloodlines. The bridge sequence is incredible, and the gymnast’s death is easily the most shocking of all the Final Destination deaths. Usually, I laugh at them, but that one left me stunned.

Bloodlines feels like the culmination of everything they’ve learned over the years about making a great Final Destination movie—it’s tightly executed.

I really enjoyed On the Count of Three.

I wish there were more films like it.

Christine (2016) is based on the real story of Christine Chubbuck, who committed suicide on TV.

'night, Mother (1986)

A woman shoots herself in the head, again.

Great movie!

Lilya 4-Ever is the third film I’ve watched where a woman takes her own life, and the fourth suicide-themed movie in a row.

It’s not the darkest I’ve seen on the subject—The Seventh Continent definitely holds that title.

Suicide Club is surprisingly funny and not at all sad.

Being a Japanese film, you can expect a certain level of weirdness from the start.

Honestly, it was mostly boring, but it did have its moments.

@Joseph Maynor Is it better than part 1 released last year?

I loved the one last year too, saw both in the theater.  I recommend both.   I still haven't seen the first 2.  To answer your question, upon reflection and sitting with it for a couple of days, I think it is better than the 2025 release, but it could just be my taste.  The end links back to the first two which can be confusing if seen as a standalone work, that's my only criticism.  That was a bit wonky or catering because you don't want to assume everyone watched every one.  But that said, it's still very good IMO.  They're trying to link but when that distracts from the standalone it makes it seem like a cliffhanger ending.  I feel like every movie should stand on its own, this is not soap opera.  But watch it yourself, don't let my analysis or bias compromise your takeaway.

I'm not a fan of the genre...
part 1 was a slogfest, nothing interesting. like watching a documentary.
part 2 was wow! it was fun! they were experimental with some scenes but i think it fits well with the narrative. ( watch it in the cinemas)

I Know What You Did Last Summer is a fun movie.

I love Sarah—she was fantastic in Buffy, which I think has some of the best storytelling in any TV show.

Joss Whedon’s Firefly is amazing as well.

Jeepers Creepers really shines in its first half. Overall, it's a very entertaining film.

The sibling relationship between Darry and Trish was particularly well-executed.

Justin Long also stars in two other excellent horror movies: Drag Me to Hell and Barbarian.
