 Your home country and connecting flights where you stop on your way to your final destination don't count

Also, comment which place you enjoyed the most and what you really got out of the trip :)

Never left the place, I enjoy land and sea scapes, ideal for painting.

What do you mean by traveling? To go and live there for years and be exposed to different cultures?

It can be that but it can also be visiting for a brief trip whether it's for vacation, family, work, or to go somewhere new to learn about different cultures. :)

@soos_mite_ah

Well, I have lived in two countries and traveled to one. But I have been exposed to 4 cultures for a long time, plus 1 that was an unplanned trip.

@Vrubel Nice!

Any words of advice when it comes to travelling to different places?

"Traditional" road, city and sightseeing trips have their value, they definitely can be meaningful and a lot of fun. But I recommend most to go to places where you can experience life and nature at its rawest. So no luxuries that serve as a barrier between you and the elements. The memories of time spent in those wild places will always stay with you the most vividly.

Wow @Vrubel, do you backpack or you go to these countries on holiday? I'm guessing you are European.

Yes, I'm based in Europe, In a small country, so crossing the border to enjoy a city trip or holiday is very easy.

After finishing my studies I backpacked for three months in South America. Fell in love and went back to the continent whenever I could.

I prefer alla prima, acrylic is way to go. It's the most versatile and non-toxic. Also ideal for experimenting because it's affordable.
