Hi. I am thinking of getting the LP Course. after you already knowing it, would/can you definitely recommend it? and what does it had given you?

kind regards. looking forward to your answers.

It's great if you are willing to invest time, strategize, and create a powerful vision for yourself. You wont just watch the videos and poof you have a purpose now. He gives lots of helpful worksheets and exercises which are extremely helpful to understand what your priorities are. What it led me to is knowing exactly what I want to do. I kinda knew before, but after lp theres no hesitation. I wake up fired up in the morning and that's worth far more than the price of the course!

I just made this topic to see if there was anything leo discovered recently that undermines his teachings.

But even if that is the case, the lp course is still very useful for anyone who wants to live a profound and passionate life. He put lots of thought and detail into it!

  2. Feel free to lock this if it doesnt fit the guidelines (I was unsure due to copy rights)

I am wondering if we would be allowed to sample insights from a video, and put them in a song. I would love to expose deeper insights to large dance festival crowds, and think it could get people more interested in this work. I wouldn't try to take things out of context, and would be fine with having it seen before releasing it. Totally understand if this isn't cool though! Maybe just having one unpublished track to play at shows would be really cool! @Leo Gura

  3. Hey, I just finished college and am about to run through the lp course again. I am wondering if there are any tips, or recontextulazions I should be aware of since the recent profound insights leo has come across. He said just about all he teaching will change, and I am wondering if I should just put in the work on what I want to do, or rewatch and deepen my vision, passion, and motivation while doing so. Thanks!

They muted Yang's mic as he said afterwards.

You also gotta understand, these debates are a business. NBC wants the candidates to fight and create drama. That's what gets them ratings. They don't want a boring debate. They want to see blood spilled.

I'm amaze they don't yet have a battle royale American Gladiators style :D

No way! I did not hear about that wow. LMAO hunger games to be the candidate ?

Thoughts on the first round of democratic debates?

Kamala Harris was the overall winner. She came across as extremely presidential, great speaker, and hit Biden hard.

Bernie underperformed but he’ll have another chance to speak longer and with fewer people. And maybe the biggest winner of all is Bernie’s ideas. I wish he had talked about how his ideas, once laughed at, are now mainstream.

Mayor Pete handled the police shooting controversy very well, and overall had a great performance, as usual.

Elizabeth Warren did just fine, but not necessarily an inspiring performance.

Biden’s main applause was from mentioning Obama.

I thought Gillibrand, Booker, Bennet, and Castro did the most to break out from irrelevancy to getting some national attention, but neither have much of a chance. De Blasio was pretty fiery as well.

And the rest have little to no chance of getting very far in the primaries.

I was disappointed that Andrew Yang got only 3 minutes to speak, and was practically unable to address any topic other than UBI, and even then had about 5% as much time as he needed to make a strong argument for it. (Not that I’m #yanggang, I feel like political experience is an important criteria for... the president).

Marianne Williamson was not taken seriously, which I understand.

    Beto’s popularity has plummeted.

Still a long way to go. *cooks popcorn*

Kamala was good at sparking the emotional appeal, but she did not really mention any plans. We can all say the way things should be, but that doesnt mean we have any idea of how to actually change it. Bernie and Yang were the only ones who seemed to have any form of a plan. (Correct me if I'm wrong :))

  6. Although Yang may be less conscious and less politically mature, UBI makes a lot more sense than free college. I just graduated college this week and in my experience it is an inflated shit show. I wouldn't want the government to be funding universities charging 300 dollars for outdated books, and overpriced faculty. Ill get on the free college train after some systemic reform. If Bernie can implement UBI in some way, that's the optimal scenario I can imagine.

  7. The title says it briefly. Insurance denied my claim for approval to used 150 mg armodafinil as an ADHD medication. I am on methylphenidate and cannot stand it much longer. I wanted to switch over to have a medication that does not have amphetamines and physically addictive and harmful effects. My brain races on it, and I know that Armodafinil is more likely to slow it down. It is only prescribed for narcolepsy, and every ADHD approved medicine is also prescribed for narcolepsy. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2654790/ this study has a great excerpt as to my reasonings for pushing this claim

"Notable in these preclinical studies is the lack of significant activity in the nucleus accumbens (Lin et al 1996; Ferraro et al 1997; Scammell et al 2000), the brain’s reward/reinforcement center (which mediates most of the addictive properties of drugs such as cocaine, opioids, and stimulants). Several studies have confirmed the low abuse potential of modafinil (Deroche-Gamonet et al 2002; Myrick et al 2004), with less cocaine-like discriminative-stimulus effects and self-reported stimulant effects than methylphenidate or amphetamines (Gold 1996; Jasinski 2000; Jasinski and Lovacevic-Ristanovic 2000; Rush et al 2002a, b)."

I am super frustrated as they took a long time to deny this, which leaves me no choice but to get back on methylphenidate as soon as possible. (I cannot afford $600 for 30 pills, which is why I need insurance). Concerta gives me extreme levels of anxiety that I feel is leading to all kinds of other health problems. I do not know what to do :(. I am looking to see what I can add to my appeal. If you guys know of any useful sources or ways to articulate this in a petition It would really change my life dramatically to make this switch. Thanks!!

  8. If you dont need it, theres no real long term benefit to it. Once you get used to coffee, you still want that little boost of anxiety to allow yourself to work. I started taking things like adderall and coffee together just to write papers. And then you need something like alcohol or weed to sleep so it can become a nasty cycle if you do it unconsciously. Taking coffee led me to smoking tobacco and weed which has made the last 2 years a struggle to get back to step one. I overlooked it and didnt think it could happen to me. As long as it doesnt become a crutch to do something then you are fine. 10/10 recommend fueling your own fire.

Think of the lava in Hawaii right now and how it is causing destruction while simultaneously creating new land.

This is what shadow work feels like.

Trump is like the lava in Hawaii.

He is shadow work for the masses.

I like the analogy but trump will never have the natural orange and red of a lava flow hahahaha

lol don't say that. Your job is to handle her emotions and comfort her and love her unconditionally. Not point out her flaws lol. I know you just want to help but, just imagine you got kicked in the nuts and you scream "Ouch you fucking asshole!"and right after the person who kicked you said "Oh you're in pain? that's an excuse to go back to old habits. You should be able to handle me kicking you in the balls and should be able to maintain your equanimity."

That's what you're basically saying to her. I know you just want her to be strong and help her, but unless you know for an absolute fact that she can handle taking criticism like that and won't get emotional, blame you, or get mad at you even in subtle ways (passive aggression, a little face she makes at you etc.). Don't say it. It will just make things worse.

Thanks for the response and really good example haha! I wasn't going to send it especially because of the conditions lol fueling the fire is never bueno. I guess i'm looking for ways to encourage the strong behavior and not encourage the more moody ones. It's like the kids who cry for a new toy, but also tough to make it an emotional process and not a transactional dog getting a treat kind of thing.

  11. So my girlfriend is fussing about her period which im sure is one of the worst feelings a person can go through, but she said "Sorry it's just the period talking. theres not much I can do" I was going to reply by saying that is an excuse to go back to old habits, but I honestly do not know how much a period actually impacts the way one thinks. I refrained for reasons of ignorance but was wondering if any of you had any thoughts?

@Ether I honestly don't know. I have been in music training since I was little, I know I have the voice for it. But when I try to think of how to get started or what I should post just to get something out there, I just get anxious about it. I guess I still care a little too much what others might think ^_^

I produce music and have been practicing vocals as well. What helps is when you realize that you are the same thing that everyone else is. Dance like you are the only one watching :) My writing grew so much when I wrote down what resonated with myself while on psychedelics. If you dont like it, you can always start with a new canvas. Thinking about that helps me to get out of my own head and judgements, when the words are so uniquely you, it brings out that inner soul we all have.

  13. I think he is showing the dangers of capitalism when it is taken to the extreme. He said not everyone fits into one little orange box, but was explaining the spectrum. I saw it more in the form of exploiting non capitalist and underdeveloped areas to advance their own countries capitalism. It is not a total demonization of capitalism, but shows that capitalism is ultimately more self centered and therefore stage orange.
