  1. My Life is at Rock Bottom
My Life is at Rock Bottom
@Shroomdoctor You need work on the very basics of putting together your life and career. Forget the lofty metaphysical stuff for now, and enough watching theory. Now it's implementation time.
Unfortunately there can be no shortcut for doing your pushups. You just gotta bite the bullet amd start doing them, one baby step at a time. Gradually build up your momentum.
Yew, this work takes lots of work. Accomplishing your highest vision requires a lot of hustling.
Maybe see my video: How To Get Shit Done. You have to be results oriented, not just theortical.
Also see my video: Balancing Theory vs Practice.
You are stuck in a cycle of avoiding emotional labor and there's just no advice that can let you skirt that. You cannot grow up and become successful without emotional labor.

Insights - 10 day meditation retreat. How LP relates to raising consciousness:
Obviously he wasn't anywhere near awakened, but his heart was in the right place and he was drawn intuitively towards Love, which resulted in his entire career and sense of life purpose. He's a great example of someone boldly following their LP.
A lot of people following their LP intuitively simply because it feels right, without an deeper existential understanding of why they're doing it. That's a fine way to get started. Later, existential understanding and consciousness work can be added on top of that to take your LP to crazy levels.

  3. THE BookList
    THE BookList
Yes, I have removed about 20-30 books which over time I felt didn't meet my quality standards. I replaced those books with better books.
Quality is more important than quantity in this case. There are far too many books around which will waste your time.
As I become more conscious my quality standards rise and I'm less tolerant of low-consciousness books.

  4. Objections To Spirituality Mega-Thread
    Objections To Spirituality Mega-Thread
That's right. Nothing stops the mind from deluding itself by adopting an ideology like skepticism.
The key question is: How do you know skepticism is valid? You don't.
Apply skepticism to your skepticism until you realize that skepticism eats its own tail. And where does that leave you?
If you were a true skeptic you would have to surrender your skepticism on the grounds that you cannot tell if it is true or false. By advancing skepticism, you hold that skepticism is true, which is false. On the other hand, if you hold that skepticism is false, that is also false.
So you're fucked either way because the mind cannot grasp Truth. Your mistake was assuming that mind can grasp Truth. Be more skeptical about that assumption.

  5. Being with people that are pursuing FAME
Being with people that are pursuing FAME
After deep realizations and glimpses I find my self to rebuild the fundaments of my life that in the past I have built unconsciously.
It can be hard to start things again from the floor.
I have a big contrast within my self with the actual band I'm playing in. The level of consciousness is quite low in the other members. The main aim is to become famous and make Mooney. Nothing wrong in making Mooney. But the Inner tendencies are very egoic.
So sometimes one part of me tends to follow the flow of ego ➡️ wants fame and recognition. But there is a bigger part that denies it.
I enjoy to play with them but I'm very scared that this situation can cause some damage on my spiritual level because there are a lot of compulsions in them, mostly on the sex level. In that situations I feel very distant and different.
When I make in my mind the decision to leave a fear appears about a future regret "you could have been famous and have a financial security" and so on.
I just wonder if It can be dangerous or not.
"Should I stay or should I go ?"  I"m so weak in this point.

  6. Healthy stages in spiral dynamics
    Healthy stages in spiral dynamics
What are healthy manifestations of Beige?
To be able to survive independently and take care of yourself. What are unhealthy manifestations of Beige?
To not be able to survive independently and to take care of yourself in a healthy way. For example, people with eat and sleeping disorders, the homeless, drug addicts, the terminal ill, etc.
What are healthy manifestations of Purple?
Peace. Natural. Grounded. Safe. Discrete. Emotional. Creates trust. The relational connection is based on what happened in the past, which gives trust for the future. A very clear and deep understanding about who we are and what needs to be done. What are unhealthy manifestations of Purple?
Closed. Evasive. Fearful. Conservative. Stick together in close groups and gossip. Keep everything within the boundaries of the community. The like knows like mentality is outplayed at the cost of the organization or the system. Secure wayside shrines. Continuously creating an in-group and an out-group feeling.
What are healthy manifestations of Red?
Assertive, movement, show courage, acts immediately on what needs to be done in the here and now and in a respectful way. Set clear boundaries and indicate urgency. Express one’s own opinion. What are unhealthy manifestations of Red?
Over-simplified, impatient, harsh, blabbermouth. Too honest. Insistent. Impulsive, unreasonable. Have one’s own needs met or wants to be right at all costs. Dog eats dog. Only thinks of oneself.
What are healthy manifestations of the Blue value system?
Concrete, meticulous, reliable, steer a straight course, fair and without surprises. Work in a structured manner supported by what is needed. Clear communication lines aimed at a secure and save working environment. Clear decisions without white noise and with clear expectations, made SMART. What are unhealthy manifestations of Blue?
Hard, strict, polarizing, fixed and inflexible. Judging and cold. Finds fault with everything. Extreme bureaucracy. Stick to the rules because those are the rules. Continuously striving for perfection, even when solutions are already workable.
What are healthy manifestations of Orange?
Result-driven, explorative, be able to think strategically, switch pragmatically to solve problems, entrepreneurial. What are unhealthy manifestations of Orange?
Calculating, opportunistic, exploitation of the living environment, manipulative and abusing nature and environment, not taking one’s responsibility, too functional, too busy and loosing sight of the human aspect.
What are healthy manifestations of Green?
Attention for emotions and exploring the inner being of self. A need for community and gathering. Personal development as the basis for collective development. Accepting differences. Attention, care and compassion for all people and the Planet. Open, loving, warm, empathic and helpful. What are unhealthy manifestations of Green?
Appeasing, avoiding conflicts, soft and patronizing. Conflicts are not addresses because harmony is more important and should not be compromised. When Green adopts her own wisdom as the only truth it becomes limiting and exclusive and it will exclude everyone who’s not Green. Conversations tend to take longer and results may not be achieved because of the continuous search for consensus and the need to include everyone in the process.
What are healthy manifestations of Yellow?
Critical, curious without judging and keep asking questions. Can easily distinguish between the essential and the ancillary. Creative and innovative and has a continuous flow of new ideas and ways of thinking. Uses the most appropriate and workable methods and behaviors to realize strategies and builds on already existing knowledge and models. What are unhealthy manifestations of Yellow?
Get bogged down in complex analysis. Builds castles in the air; inventing beautiful futuristic solutions, which are not pragmatic. Not able to finish something because there’s always something new that requires attention. Everything is criticized and made more complex instead of doing what actually needs to be done. At times, Yellow may seem cold and distant as it sometimes forgets to connect to people (because of its enthusiasm).
What are healthy manifestations of Turquoise?
To see the world and the cosmos as an integral whole. To explore, feel and pragmatically work together to solve the large complex problems to serve humanity and the earth. What are unhealthy manifestations of Turquoise?
Stay in a spiritual and/or cosmic consciousness too long without taking earthly action.

I approached a girl for the first time today
To get good with girls at any cost.
When you're trying to solve a serious life challenging, it's a good idea to approach it with the attitude of "at any cost". Do not think about the cost of things you really want. Just work five times harder to pay it. Some things in life have absurdly high costs which almost no one is willing to pay. This allows you to set yourself apart from your competition simply by being willing to pay that cost.
You won't really appreciate a thing unless you work your ass off for it.

I wrote a post about SD but someone gave me an answer I dont know how to deal with
You have to explain to them why spiral dynamics is spiral dynamics. There are reasons why these dynamics work the way they work, they are very much the same as evolutionary forces. It's not arbitrary, it's not random, like evolution is not arbitrary or random. For example the limitations of stage blue inevitably lead to the new value attainment of stage orange, precisely because of the limitations of the previous stage. It's not like there is no reason why blue evolves to orange.
You just have to study the model more and give them an indepth explanation of these dynamics. Treat it very similar to the theory of evolution. Why do certain animals evolve wings, why do they behave the way they do? The same can be asked for individuals and collectives in terms of spiral dynamics.

Basically you can ask him whether he believes social evolution is completely random and why it would not be governed by some sort of dynamics which evolve from the mechanism that are underlying societal structures. You can basically tell him that not believing in some sort of spiral dynamics is akin to not believing in evolution, because essentially they are one and the same process. There is no "should" in evolution, nor is there in spiral dynamics. It's just how things evolve due to the nature of reality.

  9. How to do healing?
    How to do healing?
Check out Noah Elkrief's recent videos. He talks about feeling your emotions and letting out the suffering. Great stuff imo because he's done a lot of self-work
Creative visualization also works great. You envision who you want to be, and what you want, and consciously take steps towards that vision having faith in that vision. Check out Shakti Gawain's book on this
Saying "I love you" to yourself when you are feeling hurt, and pain. This has worked from me and soothes the pain. In fact, it makes so that you don't even need other's love nearly as much, as you've provided it to yourself. I did it on accident and it works every time I remember to do it.

  10. Being vs deficiency cognition
    Being vs deficiency cognition
@aklacor727 Being cognition has it's needs met, so there is nothing to "take away" from it.
Be open with your friend, support them, but don't take on their burdens as your own. Everyone has their own demons and baggage to work through...
You deserve to protect your energy from being drained.

  11. Life Coach Financial Viability
    Life Coach Financial Viability
@Raptorsin7 I'm a life-coach, and I've made between $1500 to $3500 per month doing it, depending on how busy I am.
But I also have a moderately successful YouTube channel with about 30,000 subscribers, where I get about 60k views per month. So, I get all my clients through my channel, without having to do any dry marketing tactics where I try to pitch myself to acquaintances and strangers.
I basically just release a bunch of free content, and then let them know that I also offer life-coaching.
I would say it would be quite difficult to be a life-coach if you don't have a built in following.
So, if you create a following first, you can definitely make ends meet and more doing life-coaching.
You also don't need a perfect life or anything like that. You don't need to be a Tony Robbins. What you do need is the ability to meet the client where they are and facilitate inner exploration and growth in them.

  12. Hey Leo how did 6 Pillars Of Self Esteem Change You
Hey Leo how did 6 Pillars Of Self Esteem Change You
Yes read the book like three times. Completed all the stem excercises twice.
Very profound changes. Just feel a lot more solid, secure in my own being. A lot less fear and anxiety. And, as you will see when you read the book, it spreads out to all domains of your life.

  13. finding your life purpose - how long did it take you?
finding your life purpose - how long did it take you?
It's very hard to quantify something like this.
I wouldn't worry about trying to quantify it. Rather focus on your unique discovery process. However long it takes will be worth it. And it's going to depend on how much effort you put into it.

  14. Life Coach Financial Viability
    Life Coach Financial Viability
It all depends on how good you are at business.
Many life coaches make zero because they cannot find clients.
Other life coaches who develop a system for finding clients can make low 6 figures.
Someone like Tony Robbins makes tens of millions because he established an massive brand. It's best not to even think of him as a life coach. He a major business guy.
Life coaching is not different than any other small business. You have to be good at sales and marketing to be successful. If you think clients will just come to you, think again. The hardest part of life coaching is not the coaching, it's creating a steady stream of clients.
Most life coaches fail for this reason. But then again, most businesses fail for this reason.

  15. 30 Days of Learning to Trust Myself
30 Days of Learning to Trust Myself
Up until now, I always worked from the paradigm 'There is something wrong with me, I need to fix myself'. I have had success on the self-improvement path but it is time to let it go.
What would I do if everything with me was right?
I would listen to myself for guidance.
I would listen to what I wanted to do and would try to understand why.
I would see my negative emotions as a messenger for my needs not being met.
I would relax, knowing that insights will just come to me.
I would be humbled by myself and would support me.
30 Days of Learning to Trust Myself
As long as it is feels relevant, I will write about my journey and discoveries.

  16. A month later after 5meo symptoms update
A month later after 5meo symptoms update
So make it simple and natural then.
That of course is all part of the work.
You have to customize this work to fit yourself.
Doing this work mechanically or out of a sense of obligation will backfire. The key to spirituality is finding ways to make it seamlessly integrated with your way of life. Not as something gym exercises you force yourself to do once a day, just so you can fall right back into asleep once the timer rings.
Ask yourself, "What would it look like for me to live a conscious lifestyle naturally?", "What would it look like if I lived consciously all the time and it was something naturally did, not something I forced myself to do? How would I think, emote, speak, behave?"

  17. Dream reality duality was collapsed last night
Dream reality duality was collapsed last night
You're not appreciating how serious this work is. We are talking here about attaining immortality. So yeah... you should expect a high cost.
It seems like what you need is 10 years of basic self-help work. Not awakening. You've jumped in the deep end when you should be in the kiddie pool right now.
Awakening will destroy your whole human life. If you don't like that idea, don't pursue it.
You have to WANT to give up your human life.
Again, the topics I talk about are extremely advanced for most people. Just because you hear me on YT don't get the idea that this stuff is intended for random casual audiences. The stuff I talk about is like advanced college-level calculus, while most people still haven't learned algebra.

  18. Just spinning my wheels?
    Just spinning my wheels?
@Khron What thoughts are arising which are making you feel depressed?
You gotta contemplate and investigate more honestly the source of your depression. Depression is not just a passive state, it's something the mind is actively doing. So observe yourself doing it and study what your mind is doing and why it's doing it.
Spend week observing and writing down your internal self-talk. What are you saying to yourself about life such that it's making you feel depressed?
Don't tell us, find out first for yourself.

  19. Dangers of Spiritual Work-Life and Death(confused)
Dangers of Spiritual Work-Life and Death(confused)
@capriciousduck No one can tell you what you want.
    What do you want?
Answer this for yourself and then go about creating it every day.

  20. I am so so angry
    I am so so angry
@Khron Don’t do a damn thing about a damn thing in thought. Just let it go, or you’re essentially recreating what you are angry about. Let it go. Under these beliefs about your self, prior to the thinking, thought stories and anger.....just acknowledge the intention to go in the direction of feeling good, and letting old thoughts which no longer serve you, go.

  21. Darkness, sorrow and despair. Awakening?
    Darkness, sorrow and despair. Awakening?
It's not a tragic view. That's just how your ego interpets it. You are assigning negative meaning to meaningless, which of course is absurd.
You are not going to awaken without confronting the truth that all meaning is imaginary. To the ego this can feel depressing and deflating because your ego's whole plan is to concoct and chase meanings until you're dead.
Depression can be a problem on this path, but don't blame it on meaninglessness, blame it on ego.
If you feel this work is making you unstable, take a break for a while. Come back to it later. It means you're not ready yet to go that deep.
Understand that awakening is a very hardcore pursuit. You must be very mature to want it and to actualize it. Many of you are simply not there yet. Don't force it too much. Go live a bit of life first before you try to go full-Buddha.
Full-Buddha is definitely not for most people. You have to really be fed up with material life to go full-Buddha. Many of you here have barely begun material life. Ask yourself why you are pursuing awakening? Is it simply because you are blindly doing whatever Leo talks about? Or does your heart truly desire it?
Be careful doing things I talk about simply because you heard me talk about it.

  22. I am so so angry
    I am so so angry
Well, my story is just that, my story. I'm not advocating my path for anyone else with MS. Just so I'm clear on that, because my path became very unorthodox and not many could understand. So, with that being said, here we go....
I've had MS for 28 years. Cant ever say I'm cured, because there is no cure for MS. Anyways, from age 21 I had taken injections they called "disease modifying drugs" for 12 yrs. I always had some sorta side effects, usually flu-like symptoms. Also, taking these injections were a constant, painful reminder of the disease. For me, having a incurable neurological disease created misery in my mind of a possible future in a wheelchair, etc. Well meaning family, friends would send me books on the newest, latest diets, exercise, medications, etc, etc, etc....I just hated it so much!!!!!
One day i realized wayyyy too much of my attention and thought was surrounding this stupid disease and I was done with it and done taking injections, which at the time was all there was as far as disease modifiers.
I discussed my plan with family and friends at the time, which almost everyone thought was crazy. The plan... starve the disease of my thoughts and attention. That's it. No special diet. No exercise regimen. I'm not a health nut.  Just stop taking any MS disease modifiers, no more high dose steroids during attacks, stop talking about the disease, stop getting MRI's unless really needed, stop thinking of myself as a person with MS....just STOP.
At my next neurology appt I told my doctor I would be stopping disease modifiers, not be coming for follow ups as often and just wanted to be treated symptomatically if needed with low dose steroids, etc. She had a hissy fit. She was a prominent MD at the Cleveland Clinic Mellon Center and she said "you can't do that!" I said, "really?, watch me!" She then said she would not be my doctor anymore if I went off disease modifying meds. So, we broke up on that day...lol. So, I found another neurologist trained in MS and she agreed to be my doctor with me only being treated symptomatically.
Soooo, it's been about 16 years now that I started this. It took a little while for things to slow down, as slow as it is now. Meaning I had some MS attacks early on, but not as many and not as severe. I wouldn't allow anyone to talk about MS. It was a taboo subject really for quite awhile. About 3 or 4 yrs ago, cant really remember. I had a appt with my neurologist because I had a problem and wasnt sure if it was MS related. She had said she didnt think so, but that my last brain MRI had been 5 yrs and we should get another to compare. I really didnt want to, but got it anyways since she insisted.
When I went back to find out the verdict she said, "well, it's not often I get to say this, but other than a little bit of new scattered demyelination your lesions are shrinking!" I said, "how is that happening?" She said, " we don't really understand it fully, but it's good, very good".
**(Now lesions will never truly go away completely, unless they are replaced by CSF- cerebral spinal fluid, which to my knowledge isnt good and a sign of overall brain atrophy, but that's not what was happening in my case. Lesions are brain scar tissue and increase typically due to the inflammatory processes of MS. They can only shrink like mine if the inflammatory process has stopped or slowed considerably to my knowledge.)
So, now a days, I still dont discuss MS at home, unless having a problem. Since I do still have lesions, even tho smaller, I do "very occasionally" have symptoms from those lesions. But, true MS attacks or relapses are from "new" or worsening demyelination/lesions.
I really only discuss MS sometimes on a forums usually to help someone else or if asked a question.

  23. Do you trust your feelings ?
Do you trust your feelings ?
Trust feelings of love and inspiration.
Distrust feelings of fear, anger, and pettiness.
In other words: selfless feelings vs selfish feelings.

  24. Asking too many questions in a conversation
Asking too many questions in a conversation
    Yes
You can also just go to the mall and walk around while practicing making funny observations to yourself about ordinary things you see in the mall. Train yourself to have a commentary on any random thing you see: a tree, a car, a bird, a dog, a bench, an ad, etc.
DO NOT try to script or memorize this stuff. It won't work. Rather you need to train the ability to improv it on the spot.
It helps a lot to put yourself in a good mood as you try to do this. You gotta be relaxed and playful. Not stiff and business-like.
When talking to girls you gotta be like a kid in a candy store. Passionate, playful, spontaneous.

  25. Let Me Motivate You! Second Approach Ever = Number
Let Me Motivate You! Second Approach Ever = Number
    That's great.
Here are some tips to improve your game:
    1) She will almost always say she's gotta go. In this case, ask if you can walk with her and continue chatting. You need as much chat time as possible. Don't just accept her excuses. She will always have excuses.
    2) Never do Facebook. It's bullshit. Get her number and text.
    3) Before you even try for a number ALWAYS try for an instant date. After a short chat, don't ask for her number, ask to get a coffee right now. If she says she's too busy, then get the number.
    4) Rather than asking her questions, make interesting observations about her. So instead of, "What do you do?", you say, "You seem like the kind of girl who works with kids." Or whatever. Doesn't matter what you say. Sometimes you can make purposefully wrong assumptions about her just to tease her.
    5) If she tells you she's a lawyer, you gotta tease her for that shit: "OMG! I walked over here loving you but I hate you now. I can tell you have an evil lawyer heart." And push her away in a playful manner.
Find every excuse to playfully touch her.
    6) Get in the habit of asking, "By the way, are you single?"
    7) Always seed the next date. Insist that you will text her and that you two will grab a coffee and talk.
