  1. Thanks, i did consider joining a buddist temple/monastery though i'm from Serbia in Europe but not a part of the European Union so i have no rights to leave for more then 3 months. The place has no temples, also i'm 16. :}
  2. 1) I have no right to move around harmful objects, there will always be something around, its not my house. 2) I tried that when i was a kid, therapists eat shit most of the time 3) My grandparents are long dead 4) I tell him that and i'm dead.
  3. My dad beats me, ever since i can remember, he doesn't just beat me, its brutal. Talking hammer or whatever harmful looking object is nearby. This affects my family a lot, especially me. He doesn't just beat me, he lies and he made me believe that i have mental issues, though its him. Reporting to the police wont do any good, he comes back and looks for 'vengeance'. Through self development i learned to forgive no matter how brutal it is, but now i don't see the point of it no more. I don't feel the need for vengeance unless i'm in the 'adrenaline' mode of sort, but maybe it was my fault, perhaps i shouldn't have forgiven him for the very first scar he made, perhaps then he would have changed. Life isn't happy self developemnt and some people are not lazy, they may have excuses but they are not lies or in the so called 'victim mode'. Put yourself in my situation, you grew up thinking you are doing something wrong as your father beats you up, your mother is on his side because she doesn't think he'd beat his own kid if for no good reason or simply fears. I never had a childhood. You try to learn, but you can't because you live in a small house, sharing a room with your father as your mother and father fight all the time. Example of similar everyday bullshit: Father cant find a pen, he makes up huge tension and yells, mom yells, they both yell at you even though you have no clue where the pen/object is and are just trying to watch a video/read a book.
  4. My nutrition is healthy and i exercise daily, "You are what you eat" after all. Well said, thank you. I'll put this into action, i think it just might work. Not bad, though triangle would inspire Illuminati these days.
  5. Well, the thing is i do write it down in an app a few times, i wouldn't be posting this if i wasn't aware that i'm not productive. The thing is, i used to block sites and programs and modify my system to help me out but once my willpower is at its bottom i just convince myself why its okay to remove the apps and stimulate. This is like a drug for me, most of my life i spent time playing video games.
  6. Try LifeRPG, blue joystic icon on google play. I wrote a giant wall of text, but my internet broke...No way i'm rewriting that review. Here's a quick overview though: Add missions, gain exp based on fear, difficulty and urgency factors. Add custom skills and categorize them, view their progress through neat statistic features Earn rp money from missions which u can count as dollars, the reward of it is optional, not all missions gain $ For example selling a book would gain u 20$, thats 20 rp $ u can spend the rewards on items which ud buy irl and have them noted in the app There's a lot, lot more to the app, though if i'd write it that wouldn't be a quick overview..
  7. In my case, its being lazy; playing video games and watching movies. This usually happens after 3-6 pm, when i'm back from work or done with my errands. I plan to be productive, every time i create a detailed map in my head but when i'm back home i'm tired & i play video games/watch movies or read a fantasy book (Mostly video games). I can't wrap my head around watching an hour video from Leo or reading a self development book. But what if my default settings is being productive? Though i imagine i would have to become a workaholic machine, its possibly however the only thing that i'm unaware how to do is move that tree from my road. How do i begin, how do i start being productive with my default settings as they are now in order to change that.
  8. @ParanoidAndroid This isn't the classic action show with sex and violence, Game of Thrones is popular as it is because of the depth of characters, each having their own story and ways of thinking. The decisions characters are put to make, the way they make the decisions based on the 'best' possible outcomes, etc @Extreme Z7 I recommend you to read the books if you want to get into the story and the pure depths of it, it shapes your character, but if you want it quicker, still most certainly 'self actualizing', take the time and watch the show. Also another self development recommendation (Books only so far, rated better then Game of Thrones).. "Name of The Wind". There's 2 books, 3rd one should be out by the end of 2017 and they'll make a series afterwards. The book is pure art, it changes how you view life and the world. Its as if it was written from real experience completely, even though it isn't (At least partly.) The book is very slow, its mostly conversation based, there is action but it takes time to get to it. Unlike Game of Thrones that focuses on revealing all the story behind the main characters, this one (At least the first part since i haven't gotten to the 2nd book yet) only focuses on the main character, "Kvothe", there is a few hints here and there about side characters, but this is a 'biographical' novel.
  9. Hey Math, i believe i had similar if not the exact same confusion, i asked Leo directly and what he answered was that being self conscious and knowing that there's no point in doing anything in the end gives you the power to do everything with that kind of mind state. Its the truth, maybe its hard or hard at first but its the truth and you have to love that.
  10. Tips Do not hold grudges. Do not be pressured by the cultural community Lay back, don't care about what someone will think of you if you are meditating in your front yard You need to stop holding back, you planned to wash the dishes but someone in your household decided to talk to you. You'd be in a hurry to wash the dishes and rush the conversation a bit, or move it to the kitchen and multitask. Don't rush, dishes will wait as everything else can, finish the conversation properly without offending the person by rushing and wash the dishes. I know its a weird way to put it, but its a way towards mastering infinite patience. Habits Meditate at least 20m a day, it really helps calm & concentrate your mind Bo athletic, run daily. If you are sitting in an office or at home all day, you have unspent energy and you'd think a little bit over emotionally, this way you'd have calm senses at all times. (Ps: make sure to do it in the morning, within the first hour of waking)
  11. Low amount of will power, spending too much willpower on things and ending up at 20%, default setting takes over. By things, that'd be work but also issues with focus in general, trying to learn something while being distracted by other people in the household every now and then makes me give up, after trying to many times to do this and giving up i fear to try it again because i know i'd be distracted and give up. In my opinion, the main 'challenges' would be Overcoming low willpower Achieving peace of mind Removing old habits and adding new ones Balance between learning theory & action (I'm full with theory, but in most cases i do not take solid action)
  12. TeamBills, i certainly agree.. Its a huge difference when you hold a book, plus u're lucky having you'r library ship books off the sea. @Costa7 Try an app called Evernote, its free to use and neat. The trial feature lasts 30 days, though u can use it the same as you used to after that, just not some features u'd get if u''d buy a premium version. (Unnecessary features, really.) Aand as Socrates said, copy and paste the part you deem note worthy from the book to the app.
  13. Mental masturbation? I get the reference but it doesn't really fit the words. I'm in Europe, sadly i can't attend it either.
  14. @Markus It was a specific video i watched a few months back, i'll pm you if i manage to recall the name. Its definitely one of his best videos, it changed my view quiet a bit.
