  1. Anyone read this book? It was brought to my attention by Dr. Wayne Dyer. Its a small but very interesting book. Talks about an impersonal self everyone has in them and how we need to recognize it and experience it. FROM THE AUTHOR: I AM the Tree of Life within you. My Life will and must push forth, but It will do it by gradual and steady growth. You cannot come into your fruitage before you have grown to it. Remember, My Life is all the time building you up into the perfection of health and strength and beauty, that must express outwardly as It is even now expressing within. You who have begun to realize I AM within, but have not yet learned to commune with Me, listen and learn now.
  2. @Leo Gura In one of your videos you said you lived in Southern California for a while. What part was that? San Diego by any chance?
  3. I am about to start the life purpose course this week and have been on the enlightenment path for a while. I'm 26 and pursuing both. I believe you need to be smart and understand the root cause of why you are pursuing both paths. One path is for external use ( life purpose course) the other for internal use (enlightenment work). Work on both, at the end, you will only be benefited.
  4. Pasture raised eggs, beans, organic milk. But first, green smoothie.
  5. Anybody going to go see Deepak Chopra & Eckhart Tolle in Awakening to Higher Consciousness this February 27th in Los Angeles, CA? My girlfriend and I will be attending. Just wondering if any self-actualizers will go.
  6. @Sarah_Flagg that is great! I'm sure it is going to be an spectacular talk. Where will you be seated at? I would love to say hi to you!! I'm seating on the left balcony!!
  7. @Avi I wasn't going to attend either but decided to modify my schedule to be able to go. I will be driving from San Diego. I follow both and have read many of their books. We will probably meet at another event soon. Ill still be in this forum!
  8. Anybody into Taosim? For me it has been by far the most direct method into reality, but I don't see many people talking about it. Maybe it is just a personal feeling ,but it just seems and feels so real. The books consists of 81 Verses. "Without going outside you may know the whole world"
  9. I loved it! read it once and recommended it to many people. He gives very useful techniques on how to become present. Explains how this moment is your most important moment of all you life.
  10. Great topic Ayla, Im grateful to life for giving me the chance te become consciously awake and realize how everything is perfect just the way it is.
  11. I've been meditating for almost 2 years daily. 20 Minutes in the morning after my regular physical activity. I've tried different methods, from sitting in a chair to a couch and even the floor. I bought a Zabuton and Zafu and it has been great. The experience has gotten deeper since I can fully relax in a simple way. I cover my eyes and use earplugs since there may be noises from the vehicles outside passing by. What is position do you meditate in?
  12. 26 and fulfilling my life experience.
  13. A vision for the Self Actualized life. Really enjoyed it, and have watched it a couple times. However, I like all of them and every Monday I listen to his podcast.
  14. WOW, everyone seem to be having so much fun and getting to experience the world out there. Just a questions, how do you guys do it money wise? I mean, it surely cost money to do all the traveling so, what do you do to keep going?
  15. I prefer to meditate with no noise at all. Since there may be noise where I live, I use ear plugs. However, once in a while I log into youtube and use meditation music, just to change it a bit. I do believe that the types of noise you are listening to, TV, Talking on phone and all those interfere with the experience, while other type of noises, like birds chipping or dogs barking may not. try using ear plugs, it has helped me to concentrate more.
  16. I personally enjoyed, The power of now better than the new earth. Although, they are both profound and deep. They have a direct message, no bullshit. The way Eckhart talks is the same way as he writes. He makes you feel alive and connected to your inner self and manages to put a smile on your face.
  17. I'm currently reading a book, Radically Honesty, by Brad Blanton. Almost half way trough it, and it explains how everyone lies and how it affects their life. So far so good!!! The book teaches you how to start clean without any lies.
  18. I've tried LSD & Shrooms. LSD about 5 times and Shrooms 3. I can say I enjoy all the times and do not regret doing them. The LSD I took it while at Dark Psychedelic raves, had great experience, the hallucinations where incredibly colorful and out of this world. Though, back then 7 or 8 years ago I was not as awake and aware as I am now. However, I remember the experience I had and I can now connect the dots. I'm 26 now and would love to have another experience soon, I know it would be different this time since I have learned to be more open minded and have remove a lot of garbage I was carrying around for quite some time. Would recommend the experience to anyone.
  19. Maybe not as a Buddha, he certainly isn't one but he has personally helped me realize wonderful things I had hidden inside my mind. Making me realize there is much more out there in the world than what I taught possible.
  20. Excellent recommendation. Great book on learning how to contemplate. Just finished Peter Ralston's second book " pursuing consciousness" their both very advanced books. Definitely start with his first book "The book of not knowing" it will guide you through the steps of contemplation and help you open your eyes to start seeing things without interpretation.
  21. While doing chorus around the house, put on some headphones and play relaxing music, sometimes just nature music, different types. I just try to be and be conscious of what I'm doing. let myself go and experience myself just simply being, nothing more. It's maybe a type of connection I get while listening to calm music, it definitely has to be with headphone to experience the quality and pureness of the sounds.
  22. I Drink a cup of Coffee daily. But then again, I exercise daily too. Run at least 10K or some other physical activity. Being very active, I don't drink the coffee for the energy it gives me, but mostly because I enjoy sitting in my office with a delicious cup of coffee. However, I do believe that drinking it each day has gotten me to the point of starting to get addicted, since when I'm on my way to work I look forward for that moment.
  23. My mornings are the most important part of my day since it defines how well I will be feeling the rest of the day. I will admit. in the beginning it was a struggle but now that I am used to it, I wouldn't change it for nothing. 1. wake up 5:30 AM 2. Run, usually 10k or mountain bike or Road bike. 3. come back home, stretch while drinking a green smoothie. 4. Shower and meditate for 20 minutes. 5. get dressed, make breakfast and while doing so, put on my headphones and listen to Leo, TED Talks or any interesting self help and knowledgeable ideas. 6. 10AM go to work all day as an insurance Agent. BE happy, SELL SELL SELL!!!
  24. @tryingforfreedom Understand your point completely. It is not in the words, but in the meaning of them. words only point you in the direction but you have to experience it directly to convey the truth. "Where can I find a man who has forgotten words so I can have a word with him?" Zhuangzi
  25. San Diego, California USA P.S Love it here.
