  1. Yes, experience is inherently limited. You can't experience something that does not have any limit or fixation, because it would be nothing.
  2. What happened after you lost everything you thought you are?
  3. This is not an "insight". More like imaginative musings of a mind.
  4. When your mind stop going in circles around the same 1-2 girls... Which causes you to be needy and incongruent. Usually the solution to that is to know more girls, because than the mind doesn't have time to lose itself in thinking whether some girl will text you back or date you.
  5. I understand him perfectly. I don't care about your word salad, as I was addressing the distinction he suggested. There is no difference between truth and love. Unconsciously, everyone - feminine or masculine - are looking for the same thing. Calling it by different names does not mean there is a real distinction there.
  6. Love and Truth are one and the same. So I disagree with the dichotomy you suggest. When you awaken, you realize that everything is your Self. If the awakening is deep enough, than hugging a stranger on the street or a tree in the forest will feel and known as hugging with your Self.
  7. Watched some of it. Was kinda basic and benign to me, nothing really new there. It is like a review of the history/culture of different mind altering substances. No real deep stuff. More relevant to people who haven't tripped yet.
  8. Because this entire aura thing is a new age perspective on energies emitted from forms, and it is too abstract and not beneficial for the purpose of truth or transformation. Most people can't perceive this stuff, and it probably isn't needed. It is like speaking about chakras instead of the nervous system plexus or endocrine glands. All the chat about different sheets or layers of the body, or emission of subtle energies is just too abstract. It can only be justified when the abstract system contains relevant nuances that aren't contained in the more direct and perceivable system/map. On the spectrum of abstractness, auras are definitely positioned in the radical side of new age concept that isn't practical or beneficial.
  9. Sorry, there is no way around this stuff. You will have to deal with the emotions you have around the matter. For me, unworthiness met me in the worst domain it could be - dating and meeting women. Every time I talked or dated a woman that I felt unworthy of, I had the most debilitating emotional reactions because I just couldn't believe it could happen. Of course, a lot of times it fucked me and perpetuated the belief, and some of the times it worked out (to my disbelief) which made me feel amazing because all the emotional charge that was released. And yea, if the belief is deep than I would say the only possible way to deal with it is direct. All the other methods (therapy, contemplation, mind altering substances) can only give a little push in the direction, or weaken the belief, or reveal some insight. But I don't see how it will resolve the entire energy that is built around it. What are you feeling you are unworthy of and why?
  10. First you will need to become conscious of what you are unconscious of and want to let go. After that you can let it go. If you already know what your beliefs are, than that is already halfway. If you believe in something, you can also not believe in it. It is a belief, it has no substance or reality. It is a story you take to be real instead of meeting the truth for your self. Of course, usually it isn't so simple as it sounds because of the personal story and the emotions we store in the body around the belief. So, in your case for example, if you hold your self as unworthy for the things you want in life, than try to stop believing you are unworthy. I mean it. Easier said than done, surely. As I said, usually behind every core belief there are stories and even memories that gives solidity or realness to the belief, make it seem as if the is the truth. But if we are honest, you don't really know what you worthy or unworthy of. It is impossible to know such a thing. Worthiness is a a social/moral concept, and isn't ingrained in direct experience. This work isn't so simple, and a lot of time it is entangled with emotions. For serious work around matters of deeply ingrained beliefs and emotional repression you can use psychotherapy, psychedelics (and MDMA), or what ever other modality you can find regarding transformation of self. If you want to do it on your own - "today" like you want - you need to sit, concentrate, and contemplate deeply the belief you want relinquish. If you held the belief for years it has probably gathered many emotional energy around it, so it effects your nervous and endocrine systems, and the subtle energies of your body. So if you don't use a tool like a therapist or a psychedelic, you need to have a very sharp focus and concentration and an ability to sit with your self on the matter and resolve it. Not many posses this capability. You can also just go and try to bash the belief into real life. If you feel you are unworthy of something/someone, just go and try to get it. Your belief will try to stop you of course (and it will probably be charged with different emotions), but if you prove to your self that you are worthy of it, it will free you from the belief. This is the best way IMO, because it is confronts you directly with the belief/emotional charge around the matter. You can also erode the belief with small steps (a process sometimes called "desensitization"). Chipping away at beliefs in a gradual way. For example, if you think you can never stand and speak before an audience, you can begin by standing before an audience of 1, and then of 2, and then of 3, and then of 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 30. You get the idea. You pick the increments based on what you feel you can handle.
  11. Because enlightenment is not about changing states or transforming the mind. This is not to say that healing/transformation and enlightenment are mutually exclusive. Usually when serious transformation takes place we drop aspects of our self that isn't us, which may reveal that much of what we take our self to be - isn't really who we are. So of course, if we can heal or transform the body and the mind, it can only mean that those are temporary and not us. However, this alone will not "produce" enlightenment.
  12. Leo's work and audacity is indeed amazing and rare, but I sense you are going into delusion with all this saint thing and being Jesus Christ. You obviously lack grounding in your direct experience, and drawn to spiritual-religious concepts which Psychedelics can surely inflate to risky proportions.
  13. No toads for dinner until you behave.
  14. LOL. Psilocybin is a toxin. How do you think the mushroom is deconstructing the mind? Or you think mushrooms care if humans are having mystical experiences or healing their emotional body?
  15. You are wasting your time asking this question. Who are you? What is your dog?
  16. There are no paths and no shamans. Those are just illusionary concepts floating in the mind.
  17. Learn to accept your self fully and be able to laugh on your mistakes, insecurities, and "flaws". You can watch stand-up or other forms of comedy and "pick on" the vibration of easiness and humor. Also, accept your vulnerability. If you feel you are taking life seriously, than don't repress it. On the contrary, own it and join it - and then you can let it go. You can't let go of something you repress or unwilling to recognize as an aspect of you.
  18. The question is, are you more conscious after the trip? be honest.
  19. Nice. Now become conscious of who you are without the opening effect of a drug.
  20. Don't be a fool.
  21. Your logic is circular. Of course it is impossible to remember a memory you never had! How could it be otherwise? No, the real reason you can't remember your birth and early childhood, is because there wasn't a solid enough sense of self to reference the experience to. Without constructing a basic self, there was no one there who had an experience that could be stored as a memory. What you are arguing regarding infinite regress is true regarding every distinction, but it is irrelevant to the case of not having a pre-self memories.
  22. Yes, find out who you really are. There is no way for you to love an other before you find out who you really are, because that love will be conditioned. When you will find out who you are, you will be connected to "others" beyond how they look, behave, their status or education, their communication skills or intellect. Most importantly, you will be connected to them beyond what you think of them and how different they allegedly are. Until you find out who you are, I would suggest inquiring how thought is an illusion that twist reality and does not represent truth.
  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mr7tnygxTyA IMO, he is spot on and very authentic about the matter. He does not negate the possibility that some substances put the mind in a state that is more open for awakening. As I understand his words, he actually acknowledges this possibility. However, I think that his main issue with using substances to increase consciousness is that it is too much dependent on the substance and the affect on the mind. Personally, I had psychedelic experiences which blew my mind completely, including the most intense and ego shattering awakenings. However, I almost always returned to same consciousness I was in before the trip. Even the craziest and earth shaking psychedelic awakenings, where I was sure I either died or completely lost my mind, didn't "produce" increased consciousness after the trip. It was only registered as some crazy awakening experience, and opened my mind to how deep you can put your self in the rabbit hole. And I know, there has been like 2-3 posts regarding Ralston's opinion on mind altering substances. Many members have stated that he probably has some financial agenda going against substances, which I disagree with completely. Ralston displays a very balanced opinion on the matter. IMO, Psychedelics are amazing tool to shake the mind and open you to new possibilities, but they cannot be the main practice for awakening/enlightenment. Because of the deep and profound experiences they produce, they can even become a trap or attachment on "the path" to truth. Personally, they showed me many perspectives and pitfalls in my character, many subconscious patterns to look for when "sober", and much more. Ayahuasca was especially transformative, like emotion/shadow work on steroids. MODS - There is a possibility that it was more appropriate to post this as a response in a previous post on the matter. If this is so, please accept my apologies
  24. Depends how you interpret the term "ego". I think what you are asking is "can you survive while being conscious that you are not the mind or the body (or anything at all)?" The answer is yes. Higher Consciousness doesn't make the body-mind stupid or ill-equipped to survival. Moreover, even after awakening, most of the conditionings of the mind stays the same (although, you will know that none of this conditionings are who you are). So the body-mind organism continues to function pretty much the same. Only after deep awakenings it is seen that all the conditions of the mind are just conditions which can be let go of or replaced, but that doesn't mean you are going to stop sleeping, eating, defecating, and so on. Normal life functions are not affected by this, but the entire scheme you have collected throughout your life (the "architecture" of your mind) might be affected drastically. Why is this so? because you become deeply conscious that your entire self-world (that is: relationships, job, communication, hobbies, self-expressions, addictions, aversions, hidden aspects of self, manipulations you deploy, etc.) are manifestation of how you (and your environment / society) conditioned the mind to handle your needs and fulfill basic survival functions and drives such as having shelter, food, social connection and approval, sex. As you probably gleaned by now, the structure of the mind is actually the programming of the brain to engage (or prevent) in activities the serves the self. When it comes to awakening and ego, the difference is actually a matter of identity. Ego is just about thinking that who you are is the body and the mind. Awakening is about becoming conscious that you are neither and that the identifications with the body-mind was simply an illusion. So, there was never an ego to begin with - only an illusion that you are something you are not.
  25. Nah, dream is just the manifestation of thoughts in the mind. There is no location to anything because there is no center to be found. So what even is "parallel universe"? Who said their is such a thing as universe, let alone parallel? Those are just concepts. The waking state, deep sleep and the dream state are located in the same "place", which is nowhere. A distinction between one universe and another can only occur in one place - the mind. And the mind can only appear here and now, which is nowhere at all.
