Yeah, people are able to heal themselves through imagination, which is what placebo is. Pretty wild. Reminds me of that SpongeBob episode...

So, lucid dreams? Yes. If you ever have sleep paralysis, you can use it as a gateway for very easy lucid dreaming, although unfortunately going through sleep paralysis is probably not the most healthiest method. But, I've probably had the most control over my dreams through using sleep paralysis. I think that all our dreams are induced by us, but we can do it consciously or unconsciously. When I am on the brink of falling asleep, I will sometimes catch myself thinking of certain thoughts and almost "entering" into them. Then, I will suddenly snap out of it and realize that my thoughts were making no sense at all. I think this is very similar, if not, the exact method through which dreams are created. I can confirm that this is also how a lucid dream is creating during sleep paralysis, you focus very hard on certain thoughts, and then imagine yourself "jumping" or "entering" into them. Other than that, I'm not really an expert, should probably look into it more. I'm sure there are various methods you can find. Some say dreams represent your subconscious trying to speak to you about real life problems, maybe resolving those could fix it. Something really practical you can do is to make sure that you are getting enough high quality sleep. If your sleep is low-quality or disturbed, you will dream more erratically.

It could be an actual condition, POIS (Post-Orgasmic Illness Syndrome). I only know about it cause other members here seem to have it.

Isn't change ultimately imaginary, similar to time? The only way for you to perceive change is to imagine a moment that is different from the present moment. If the present moment is all there is, then where is the reference for change? -
I think this is one of the first ones I watched, it's a pretty decent intro: His older stuff will be more tame and easier to get into, should look around there.

I am convinced that fasting is a serious protocol for removal of accumulated toxins in the body. It puts your liver's detoxing mechanism into overdrive. After my 36 hour fast, my anger issues went away, I felt much more calmer and thankful for everything. I used to get angry over the tiniest and stupidest things before the fast. There was a very noticeable physical difference, my head clearly felt "lighter" after the fast. Also, my heart rate doesn't speed up erratically anymore. If I got scared by something, my heart-rate doesn't just shoot up to 200BPM out of nowhere like it used to before. Everything overall feels much more calmer and stable now. I have vomited during 2 of my fasts, one was intermittent 16/8 and the other was the 36 hour one I did. I don't believe it was because of low electrolytes, I think I was overloading my liver with the amount of toxins it was dealing with and I basically ended up poisoning myself with excess toxins in the bloodstream, which all ended up being vomited up as bile. Is this a good thing? Kind of. I don't think it is necessary to vomit, I think I rushed myself, but the benefits have been life-changing so I'm glad I got it over with. And also, of course, the more well known benefits, it is a great dopamine detox, it induces autophagy, etc. You know the rest. Very clear spiritual and physical benefits all around. Definitely something everyone should do. Doesn't have to be 36 hour, I do intermittent 16/8 for maintenance. I don't think we are meant to be eating food 24/7 as most people do. -

Where are you located in a dream? Why are you so easily able to adopt some dream character identity, and then immediately wake up and go back to believing that you are in the head? Your idea of "you" is so flexible. I am sure you experienced those 3 senses in your dreams as well, so which one are you? Your dream character, or the real life one? Let's say 90% of your reality you were stuck in a dream, and then the other 10% you would be in the waking state. Is this where you would decide that your "true identity" is the dream character? -

In order for a foreground, color or background to exist, everything else must be present with it in order for it to exist, otherwise there is no contrast for you to make any distinction between them. When you make a distinction between those things, you ignore the other qualities that allow for that distinction to exist, and in that way, your distinction is ultimately false and imaginary, because you're imagining it as something separate that doesn't need anything else to exist. A distinction is something you imagine to exist on its own, by itself. But, that is impossible, because any sort of distinction you make always needs something else to contrast with in order for it to exist, and so it always exists together with that thing it contrasts with, and so it is actually one with the thing it contrasts with. You can't have a foreground without a background to contrast it, and so because of that, the foreground and background are actually one thing. In the same way, any boundary inside the painting is imagined by you and projected onto the painting, because there is only one painting. Yes -

In a painting, everything is one thing. The entire painting is one thing. You imagine the distinctions. In the Mona Lisa, the entire painting is one thing, it is you who projects and creates the distinction of "Mona Lisa" and thinks of it as something separate from everything else in the painting. Everything in that painting completes each other, as one thing. If you painted a vase, the background behind it is necessary in order to create the shape of a vase. And vice versa, in order to create the background, there must be a vase to imply that it is the background of something. Both things are necessary for each other to exist, and both things complete each other, because it is all one thing. Same applies to real life. -

Because you are biased towards survival. A pile of shit carries disease and potential harm, whereas a mountain just looks cool. -

What if drinking water adds unseen karma for lifetimes? That's just a guessing game. I think the pay-off for psychedelics is very simple: It throws you into a high state of consciousness, without any regard for your level of development. It allows you to experience a high state of consciousness, regardless of whether your ego is ready for it or not, which is why so many people go "crazy" or go through ego backlashes after psychedelics. Normally, you would gradually develop your baseline state of consciousness until reality starts slowly revealing its truth to you, whereas psychedelics force truth onto you. It allows you to bypass years of spiritual practice, but that also makes it harder for you to embody that insight. It's the difference of jumping straight into a cold shower instead of slowly cranking down the temperature from a warmer shower. -

I'm not sure if having a fetish should prevent you from being able to enjoy normal sex. Maybe go no fap and no porn for a while and see what happens.

Not at first, in the beginning your ego will fight back to maintain its old habits. This is basically a dopamine detox that you've described here. In the long-term, yes you will gain more pleasure. It's a matter of adapting your reward system. Not sure what you mean exactly, but I don't think so, at least not initially. If anything, you will get thoughts pushing you to revert back, until you're fully accustomed to your new way of life. Then, it will subside.

Maybe low energy is because you aren't fully fat adapted, or maybe not enough electrolytes, but try avocados if you haven't. I'm not even vegan but they are so full of fat and energy that it ends up fueling me for the entire day. Also, you should look into intermittent fasting and see if you wanna add it to your diet.

It is weird yea, all so random and arbitrary -
To be fair, they really edit up the American version to make it look extremely dramatic, even reusing older scenes and mashing it up in a different order to make it look as combative as possible, which speaks to the fact that it's all about drama when it comes to these shows. The UK version is much calmer if you ever watch it, although there is still validity to your points.
