  10. You might be oversleeping, or some habit may be causing you to oversleep. Or maybe, your sleep is low quality and it is being disturbed, so you wake up feeling groggy. Eating a big meal close to bed time could interfere with sleep. Try to improve the quality of your sleep, if there is room for that, by keeping your room cool and dark. White noise also helps. By the way, the blue light from outside that appears in the morning is a good natural mechanism for waking you up. It will make it easier to wake up, so maybe keep the curtains open. However, this advice is not helpful if you sleep so late that the sun comes up, as the blue light will prevent you from falling asleep, so take it with some nuance. Dark = increased melatonin, light = decreased melatonin.

  14. I only get blue balls if I purposefully edge myself for a really long time, I'm not sure if it is normal to get it so easily. Are you currently doing no-fap? Have you ever done it? Maybe you over-exerted yourself, maybe masturbating could help tbh. Or maybe its because your stomach is too full or something. Try to eliminate factors and pay attention to how you feel.

  19. I'm like on the exact opposite side of the spectrum, where I think I might be too accepting of friends. Maybe your relationship with friends is different from mine. I don't really attach myself too much to their ideas, I just talk with them for the sake of talking, just for fun. If they say something stupid or dogmatic, I'll just poke fun at it, maybe make a joke out of it or just say nothing. Not really a big deal for me, I don't need them to fit my exact worldview to have fun with them, and tbh I can't be bothered to try and change them in that way all the time. It's expected that you run into that stuff when talking to people. In fact, entertaining or talking about the different perspectives they have might be fun in and of itself. On the other hand, there will be parts of them that are fun to interact with, they might be really funny or maybe you guys are into the same video game or something. Their ideas about religion are irrelevant to that, and for that reason it doesn't really matter to me.

  21. Well, ofc there is gonna be stress when the thing you look to comfort for in the morning is taken away from you. I think there would be similar findings if you took away someone's coffee for a week or so, or anything else they like eating or doing. And yes, food does have a significant impact on mental health. Simply eating can reduce cortisol and instantly make you feel less depressed. But, there is also such a thing as overeating. I think it is possible to adapt to a routine where you don't have food in the morning, but of course you will have stress and withdrawal symptoms before you get there.

  23. Ego backlash is when you experience a backlash from your ego while trying to undergo some sort of improvement or change. For example, during a new diet, you might one day feel like totally giving up, and you find yourself accompanied by many rationalizations such as "eating junk food isn't that big of a deal anyways", "do you really wanna give up junk food for the rest of your life?" etc. etc. The bombardment of all these rationalizations towards not changing is what is considered an "ego backlash".
