Alextvvv replied to Zeroguy's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
My experience was similar. At first it felt psychotic and chaotic, just like a heavy shake of the soul and its unconscious patterns. In a sense, long meditations can do the same, though in way smaller proportions. Then with time and integration and therapeutic work, it faded and just left room for deep peace. -

That's a useful framework. My personal advice is that it's possible. I would say that those conditions can be treated, not cancelled altogether. Maybe there are just obstacles on those people's road. Overcoming delusions, to realize your true nature. When the mind and thoughts are disorganised, it's possible to detach and see them as not yours. As for (hypo)mania, as previously said, it can lead to creativity and insights into reality. But it has a cost where the mind will eventually come down after going up. Sometimes the mind can be overloaded, and that's why therapy and/or medication can help integrate and ease over time. Less known, spirituality and religiosity seem to play a role in the recovery process. I'm no professional, this is just my personal understanding. -

I too believe bipolar and schizophrenia can be linked to profound levels of creativity. The highs and lows push to the edges, towards (hypo)mania and melancholy. Some artists may not even be bipolar and still have ups and downs that are being handled by a healthy lifestyle. Others may require therapy or medication. A description of lived hypomania and mania experiences (43:25) : I believe some people with those conditions, in addition to spirituality, can access deep Mysticism. It was Connor's case. If he had managed to stabilize the state he is in with his parents, he could have kept going. Going a little far may not be bad per se, as long as you take time to come down and integrate, as Leo told him. In the beginning, he was trying to share the insights he was having. But he did so while still ungrounded, so he came off as unstable and people wouldn't give him credit. He would try even harder by being even weirder, which in the end made a disservice to the whole thing. I haven’t been on the forum for a while, and I’m still trying to figure out what’s psychosis and what's awakening. It can also be both at the time. If people see and label « psychosis » from the outside, while the lived experience makes sense, that’s a challenge. If anyone has any input. -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwdzVVxnViw In this video, Connor is trying to enlighten his parents. His dad responds (36:03 - 39:30) that Connor isn't actually onto something, and that many Christians are "there" too. Is there something happening globally where Connor was trying to spread the word, or is this mysticism & awakenings like there always have been? -

It's so obvious that it is almost unbelievable. @Rilles Never had that weird sensation when Leo says that he is YOU in his videos, while pointing at you ? -

Awesome, thanks for sharing! It is hard to find reliable sources on the subject, and she seems to know what she's talking about. Having sorted out the real from the fake, and coupling it with her own experience. Plus she's authentic. -

So what was that event for you ? -

Even though you might see mistakes in your past, don't beat yourself because of it. Rest assured that everything that has ever happened to you happened for a reason. There are no mistakes in a way, you will understand this looking backwards. Learn from them/don't repeat them, and move forward. If life seems hard at the moment, it means you will experience the awesome contrast later. -

Nice report ! Did you get any visuals in the end ? -
@Scholar I have issues with gluten aswell, but no celiac disease. So sublingual is not absolutely necessary for me, but not a bad idea either.

@Michael569 Ok thanks. I might change to MC in the future

@Michael569 I read that you used to recommend cyanocobalamin over methylcobalamin, and now rather the latter. What made you change your mind ?
