  1. @Leo Gura mind blown. i just did a contemplation on this truth you're talking about. should make a video on this specifically in future
  2. @Inliytened1 ironically, i mix the two up sometimes
  3. dope man, thx. put on my calendar.
  4. Does the path to mastery lead to enlightenment? Are these two very different things?
  5. Labels vs states of being. Do they correlate? Do decades of meditation practice and being a "master" correlate with enlightenment?
  6. That may be true but if you grew up in a different time period or different part of the world, you would not think twice about it. It would just be routine, like picking apples from a tree. Hard to imagine since we've never had to do this ourselves.
  7. This is a big fear for me too. Look deeper than music and you will find the general qualities of your life purpose. Your values, etc... Music is just the medium that you are using to express these values. It CAN be swapped if necessary. Additionally, humans are incredibly resilient. Trust your resourcefulness to cure yourself as best as you can and proceed with music, rather than clouding yourself with doubt.
  8. Sure. I do it because I enjoy it. Similar to listening to music or eating foods I like
  9. @Average Investor would not have seen this if it was in journal
  10. Love Dr K. Highly recommend watching this channel. Feels like your're having therapy on yourself since a lot of these issues are not only universal but also very personal to many people on here lol. Good chance to learn about oneself and brighten your day to see others slowly solving their issues.
  11. what about being a hitman or drug dealer
  12. Hi, all! As far as spiritual progress is concerned, I do feel like I’ve gone fairly far. However, there is a nagging issue that plagues me: Attachment wounds from emotional neglect are still a major sticky issue for me. Spiritual Progress =/ Psychological Progress. With that in mind, how do you repair this issue. btw I lean more towards the right side of the chart, probably in-between anxious and fearful.
  13. @Martin123 Magi is one of my favorite anime dude! And yes, even when watching the show even though Sinbad is such a rad dude you can tell he has attachment issues hahahaha
  14. @Nahm no I agree with you. ive been using this whole psychoanalytic, attachment theory perspective for a while to figure things out and I think I’ve become less happy. The time for mourning about my past has ran its course. How many times will I keep replaying the same story over and over in my head? How many more days of my life will be lost holding onto this sadness, fear, resentment? I get it. I saw the movie enough times already to know. I started contemplating the drawbacks of feeling like this. Applying it to every thing. Every time mind creation started to make me miserable time and time again yesterday when was breaking down. When my mind became clear of all these chaotic waves, a profound bliss arose. I will continue to do so as this chapter has just begun.
  15. 100% if you reduce the sample size to one and only include me in it hehe, yea
  16. @Leo Gura C's get degrees crew checking in.
  17. Regarding dissociation specifically I walk a very thin line. Experientially, proper awareness feels more integrating, while dissociation masquerading as awareness has a subtle aversive quality to it that feels unnatural, forced.
  18. @Dino D if people were living their purpose, perhaps their would not be as much need for many of those positions like medical professionals, nurses, etc... unhappiness -> illness -> more unhappy -> more illness
  19. curious, how did you get there? dying for six months...?
  20. @ardacigin It has been life-debilitating for me personally. Making things much more difficult. Presumably, due to mixing in with my own psychological issues it brews the perfect storm. Additionally, yes iirc you go through a macro-cycle to reach the next path. The first path you get into after awakening is Sotāpanna aka stream-entry, where you drop the first three fetters: identity-view, ritualistic clinging, and doubt regarding the path. How to measure where we are is another story as everyone interprets differently and their own subjective experience would be impossible to know. However, ime I do feel that to jump to have a significant shift along the path, it has included this pattern of mini cycles and eventually a macro cycle. Probably could get there with more or less of either one of the two but yeah it makes sense to me.
