@VeganAwake I am very very shocked you recommended someone as awakened as Robert Wolfe, a descendent of Ramana Maharshi, well done! ;)

    Shocked lol?

I really think there is a lot we don't know about each other my friend ❤

I was starting to assume you labeled me as an Eckhart Tolle Fanboy/Neo Advaitist's.

I don't follow any belief system or have any kind of identity or attachment to any kind of teaching/teacher whatsoever.

    I am free..

Nonduality is just apparently the best word to describe the experience that occurred here for no-one.

Awakening or Enlightenment isn't something to be rated... that's simply another form of dualistic perception causing division in the whole.

@VeganAwake I appreciate your passion for meaninglessness, but, your buddies Jim Newman and Tony Parsons just don't resonate with me.  They might as well be speaking Chinese.

Yeah no problem... and that's totally perfect because it's what's happening ❤

What was said was not just their influences, it was my own Awakening experience along with dozens of other spiritual influencers / Masters..

Osho and Robert Wolfe we're also very big on the communication that nothing really matters and there is no goal.

  4. There isn't any certain way anything needs to be... and no one can predict how things will turn out... and the opinion of how things turned out, would be just that, an opinion.

Someone who believes they are God may have an amazing life.(but what is a great life, it's just an opinion).. one person may believe a great life is being single and having sex with thousands of partners... another might believe it's being happily married with a great family and kids.

Some of what I considered the worst experiences at the time, I look back on and think wow what an incredible journey and amazing learning opportunity.

There's no telling the outcome of a path... therefore whatever path is chosen is the right one unless you believe it isn't..

" The Great Way is not difficult for those who have no preferences. When love and hate are both absent everything becomes clear and undisguised. Make the smallest distinction, however, and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart. If you wish to see the truth then hold no opinion for or against. The struggle of what one likes and what one dislikes is the disease of the mind"

    - Sengstan, Hsin Hsin Ming

Suffering is caused by the resistance to what IS.

I've heard it said to "take the middle way"... but what is "the middle way"... everybody's middle way or middle path is different lol.

Any way you choose, becomes your way. And even if you didn't choose it it's still your way.

The perception of the situation is what makes all the difference in the world.

And I have a secret ...perception can be changed infinitely.

Perception is your god-given power ❤

One of the "memories" that stands out a lot from my awakening was how it changed how I literally saw people. There were a lot of visual changes, it felt like a scene in a movie when everything is flooded with this heavenly light. During this time I scrolled through my Facebook feed. xD Every single face in every photo shone brilliantly with this light and I loved each and every face and saw perfection and beauty in it. Normally when I scroll through Facebook I see a lot of stupid things, a lot of ugly things... in other words it's a judgment/thinking fest. And it's unconscious. It happens in an instant, it's like a gut reaction.

Yesterday I met someone who will be taking over for someone who handles some of my personal information. As soon as I saw her face I had this "Oh SHIT" reaction. In a split second I was concerned that she wasn't trustworthy, just because of how she looks. I hadn't even gone so far as to think about it, it was just a gut reaction, or feeling. My mind will try to explain its feelings later, and give logical reasons for it, but it's all bullshit. This is the root of prejudice and racism itself. It's a survival instinct, fear itself playing out and literally veiling how I see. Though I don't act on it, (consciously), and though I make a huge effort to see what I appreciate in everyone, I feel my my initial gut reaction shows the state of my heart.

I want to see all faces with the same unconditional love and acceptance that I have for my kids, (when they are behavingxD). Not after a moment of talking myself into it, but instantly.

Has anyone watched this reaction in themselves, worked with it, worked through it? I've been taught to trust my gut feelings, and not to ignore them but I feel like I passed off a lot of knee jerk judgments as "gut feelings" for most of my life.

When the mechanism that creates suffering and separation(ego) is understood, it's much easier to have compassion and understanding for people's behavior.

To me that's literally what unconditional love means.

It doesn't mean you become a meditating pacifist, you still set your boundaries and hold your ground if someone's behaving inappropriately.

Unconditional love was something that improved in increments as the effects of Awakening became clearer and clearer.

The Paradox is you can really dislike someone's behavior and actions and simultaneously have a deep love respect and compassion for them.

Like Leo says Awareness alone is Curative...

It's typically not something that happens quickly... do not beat yourself up over it ❤

Ok, what's the difference between knowledge and an insight/epiphany? How do they feel different?

You didn't tell me how any of those things actually felt, you gave me account of how you judge yourself when you are experiencing them.

I know this very well, sitting on the couch eating cookies feels like paradise until I think about the size of my ass in the future.

I want to know how they feel, without judgement or concept but still using words to express the feeling.

There's no real difference between knowledge insights or epiphanies... but to the separate sense of self, everything means something... a story gets created... how does knowledge effect the ME character... how does it supposedly benefit or not benefit ME.

Judgement can still occur, its just not occurring for any one.

There's still a conditioned body here that prefers coffee over tea or white rice over brown rice...

Not that much changes in a certain sense... but the best way to describe how it feels is that it does not feel personal any longer.

If a flat tire occurs it's just what's happening, a story isn't created about why this happened to ME.. the resistance to what is falls away.

A complete surrender to beingness and all that it entails it's a great way to describe the feeling.

When the illusion Falls away everything feels the same and radically different at the same time. ❤

  7. @traveler  this was one of the pictures I drew in Okinawa Japan during one of the big Awakenings.

It was when I was starting to recognize rather quickly that the entire story of the ME character was just a compilation of beliefs ideas perceptions and thoughts that I held about myself and not any real entity  within the human body ❤ ( forgive the horrible spelling)

The tiny circle that says true self ended up being a complete void of emptiness that seemed to collapse back into the infinite energy... it was then I realized I am nothing and everything simultaneously...

What does knowledge feel like when you find it?

As a separate sense of self it feels like an accomplishment..."I" did it... me-me-me I-I-I.

When there's no one there it's just something that apparently happened.

    What does liberation feel like?

Holyshit there is no ME and never was ahhh...

What does sitting on your couch eating cookies feel like?

As a separate self, like a lazy fat ass bum that's not contributing to society.

As no one, like anything else in existence feels... it's just what's happening.

hehe this was just an example of course...

Everyone knows you're not meant to answer koans so hastily.

You'll get beat over the head with a stick! ;)

    Here's another one for you,

Who's getting beat over the head? ^_^

They do that in Kuwait I've seen it...

No one is getting beat over the head but beating over the head can happen.

The separate sense of self would create a long complex story of how unfair it was that 'I' got beat over the head...

What I love is that the back and forth going on between people on here is absolutely meaningless and empty of any purpose at all. Nobody is right and nobody is wrong, it's not going anywhere. It is just happening for no reason at all and that is just so amazing and I love it. The only thing that can be wrong and right is an illusory separate individual that believes that they will achieve personal enlightenment if they get enough information and can convince themselves that they know better than others.

Yes the highest unteaching or unlearning.

You use hearts just like a southern lady uses the expression "Well BLESS YOUR heart" as a polite way to say f-you. xD

There are a lot of people I know if "real" life who won't watch Leo's videos because they automatically assume they already know what he's saying, or because the videos are just "too long". There are infinite depths of understanding what you think you already know. There is also something creepier going on when you listen to a higher consciousness person talk, a transmission of some kind that you can feel and experience. I'm not assuming that we all resonate with the same teachers though.

Hehe, the southern lady thing is funny...

I really do it as a kind gesture to illustrate the unconditional love I have for everyone whether it appears we are in agreeance or not ❤ ?

I was a hardcore Seeker for a couple years prior to liberation( beginner's luck samadhi experience)... after Liberation occurred what was recognized is everything is absolute complete freedom...

You are free to seek knowledge for the rest of your life or sit on your couch eating cookies none of it matters whatsoever..

We are already whole free complete it's just whether it's recognized or not... and even then it makes no difference at all.

Liberation isn't any better than anything else... it's just something that apparently happens ❤

@VeganAwake For lack of a better way of putting it, it's clear you're obsessed with one perspective and what has been written here (in the original post) has totally gone over your head. 9_9

    Importance is relative.

Consider that sometimes the Truth as you conceive it isn't what's most important.

    Can your stomach grok that?

Will a being at Spiral Dynamics stage Red accept or value what you're preaching?

    No, not a chance.

Does that same being technically still have access to the same Truth?

    Yes.

Will a being at Spiral Dynamics Blue2 (the unnamed stage above Coral) understand all you've said, but with totally different depth and explicate it in a totally different way if he/she was asked to?

    Yes.

Is that same being accessing some higher Truth than you?

    No.

    One question to consider,

    Who shot the messenger? ;)

Cool story bud and isn't it incredible it's all happening within THIS...

    Nothing happens outside of THIS...

Pertaining to your question about who shot the messenger, that would be the illusory separate sense of self and the same separate sense of self that got triggered to write this statement...

    Cool right...?

I felt like this aswell, and was the reason I stopped watching him quite a while ago. Something feels a little insincere, like he's putting on a show or persona of some kind like you said.

    Traveler friend lol...?

I really thought it was funny when that lady was pointing out to rupert that she had listened to all the Papaji's Ramaji's and mooji's before finding him... Old Rupert just gave a surprised / puzzled look to someone in the back near the camera...

I was like come on Rupert seriously that s*** was funny as hell crack a smile at least..

I'm aware he was probably doing it out of respect for other teachers though ❤

This is just false.  Rupert has a great sense of humor.  You obviously haven't watched too many of his videos.

    It was obviously an opinion..

    Didn't mean to offend..

Have watched probably almost all of his videos... it's good stuff .. just outgrew it.

Also said he's a great guy and I love him LOL..❤ but you didn't mention that ?

There's more going on in that 25 minutes than you can "take away" from it.

    Really like what? ❤

All that's happening is what's happening.... there's no big mystery to what's going on.

Either you believe you are a separate individual or you have awakened to the realization you are Oneness... simple as that ...

Everything else is incomprehensible boundless freedom with no meaning purpose or value whatsoever.

    It's Freedom it's Paradise it's heaven on Earth it's what's happening...

@VeganAwake Those guys make me uncomfortable.

    Are you enlightened @VeganAwake ?

    Gotcha...

It's most likely because their communication does not leave a leg for the separate self to stand on... it completely chops the leg off and explains the separate self never existed in the first place...

Nothing in existence especially not the separate self / ego likes hearing they don't exist lol. (it kind of takes the steam out of its sail sorta speak... it feels threatened)

Pertaining to your question am I enlightened... well what is your definition of enlightenment?

The question itself is misleading because when enlightenment is attained the separate sense of self or the 'ME' is gone and simultaneously recognized that it never existed.

Liberation Freedom Paradise are great words to explain it.

What happened here was there was a clear recognition that the 'ME' character was only a story kept alive or perpetuated by my belief in it / the energy fed to it.

The next day I clearly saw how everyone was being controlled by their separate sense of self and running around in the rat race trying to achieve achieve achieve. ( the separate sense of self can never except that it's already Complete because it subconsciously knows that it will be its demise)

There was some kind of energy shift which could be described as a disentangling from social conditioning and a snapping out of The Matrix.

The illusory line between Duality and non-duality was completely blurd. Some described it as a collapse of Duality and non-duality.

The Experience here could then be described as a gradual Enlightenment process in action.

    Here's a video you might enjoy ?

  17. @LfcCharlie4  Well, there are no real problems, that's just the separate self's projection that what IS, isn't good enough or isn't IT... there also is no such thing as an incomplete teaching because there isn't a complete teaching or you could say every teaching is complete & incomplete... there isn't a one-way anything should be... that's again another projection of the separate self. Non-Duality is simply what's happening, whether you believe you are a separate individual or not.

It sounds like you're projecting your definition of Neo advaita as an incomplete Awakening experience and stirring them up together in an attempt to discredit other teaching( the good old shoot the messenger so I don't have to take seriously the implications of the message)

    Here is what I found:

Neo-Advaita, also called the Satsang-movement and Nondualism, is a New Religious Movement, emphasizing the direct recognition of the non-existence of the "I" or "ego," without the need of preparatory practice.

We've already agreed in other threads that there isn't any prerequisites to Awakening... sometimes practices are apparently involved and sometimes they are not... the interesting thing about Awakening is when it happens there's no telling exactly what caused it.

Great video bro... I like how Rupert explains it's an apparent feeling of separation.

Basically he's explaining when your viewing things from a dualistic viewpoint, things apparently appear as separate...

When Awakening occurs and the separate self is recognized to be illusory and apparently falls away, the line between dualism and non dualism blur's... it's simultaneously recognized there never was a separate experiencer ... you are the experience itself.( Rupert is just describing someone who may have not had this full recognition)

Experience doesn't have an agenda, it just experiences, it's not a do-gooder spiritual ego that needs to go out and achieve achieve achieve. That's basically saying God has an agenda and a need to accomplish certain things in this existence to feel accomplished and validated.(that's ego running the train)

I love Rupert he's a great guy I have unconditional love for him he just takes 25 minutes to explain one basic thing that takes other awakened individuals 10 seconds to explain. Rupert also takes himself way too seriously in my opinion... you can tell he's up holding some kind of persona about himself.

On the other hand Jim is a blast to listen to(my opinion) he's funny as hell... He definitely walks the walk and there absolutely isn't anything there for the individual in his communication.

1 If I recognize Ego in myself and then think about Ego are the thoughts still coming from the Ego?

Thoughts just arise out of nothing. Identification as the thoughts is the ego/separate self.

2 What is an enlightened Master talking about Ego?

Oneness talking to itself about Maya the illusion of self

3 What is a layman talking about Ego?

The ego isn't real. Its a misidentification with thoughts, labels, perceptions, and beliefs as a separate 'ME' character in the body. ❤
