Every time I point out a limitation in someone's worldview or method, I am accused of trying to be better than them. It's such a trite gaslight at this point that I'm sick of hearing it.
Maybe I'm a narcissist. Or maybe I just care that you don't fall into their epistemic traps.
The disturbing thing is that I care more about your epistemology than you care about your epistemology. That's because I know what you will lose.

Even if someone is acting illogically, Being still has logic to it.
The mind can behave in all sorts of illogical ways. But the structure of ontology remains.
    Greeks called it the Logos.
God's Unity is a function of logic. So logic literally holds the whole universe together.
God is Love because logic is true. If logic wasn't true God could not be Absolute Love. Absoluteness requires logic.

It's not about positive or negative. It's about Truth. In all cases what you seek is Truth, whatever it is.
Your job is simply to know and love Truth. That is the highest Good.

There is no solution. No human controls or designs evolution.
Hyper capitalism will continue until it collapses from its own contradictions and corruption. And the pain of that cannot be avoided. The solution is playing itself out in slow-motion as we speak.

  5. List of materialist assumptions about the nature of reality
List of materialist assumptions about the nature of reality
I'm working on a project and I need a list of materialist assumptions about the nature of reality. This is what I have come up so far:
The fundamental substance which makes up reality is matter. Being human, means being a body. There is an external material reality apart from the consciousness of the subject who perceives it. The body/self is apart from the external material world. Consciousness is generated by the interaction of material particles in the brain. Death is a certain and unavoidable event, since consciousness is generated by the brain. The universe is split in the dichotomy subject/object. Mystical experiences are just brain states. There is a clear and definitive distinction between external material reality and inner subjective experience. This is a list of assumptions generated by Claude Ai:
Causal closure of the physical: Every physical event has only physical causes; there's no room for non-physical causation. Emergent complexity: Complex systems and properties emerge from simpler physical components and interactions without requiring non-material explanations. Scientific epistemology: Science is the most reliable method for understanding reality, with empirical evidence and testability as key criteria. Determinism or probabilistic causation: Events are determined by prior physical causes following natural laws, even if quantum mechanics introduces probabilistic elements. Evolutionary origin of mind: Consciousness evolved through natural selection as a biological adaptation with survival value. Rejection of teleology: The universe and natural processes have no inherent purpose or goal-directedness. Naturalistic ethics: Moral values are human constructs based on biological and social factors rather than transcendent principles. Mathematical/logical truths as human constructs: Even abstract mathematical and logical principles are human cognitive tools rather than transcendent realities. Uniformity of natural law: Physical laws operate consistently across time and space. Methodological reductionism: Complex phenomena are best understood by analyzing their constituent parts. What other assumptions would you add?

    There are so many.
Like the assumption that reality can be understood through thinking, without state change.

    Selfishness and ignorance are inherent.
It is not an evil society that created infants. It is evil infants who created society.

  8. Spiral Dynamics - Stage Turquoise Notes
Spiral Dynamics - Stage Turquoise Notes
Having re-watched @Leo Gura Spiral Dynamics stage Turquoise video I am posting here my notes that I manually took from the video. No AI was used whatsoever. Enjoy! This is the final set of notes for the Spiral Dynamics stages.
What is the essence of Turquoise?
Holistic Global Collectivist Self-Transcendent Once again the pendulum is swinging. It went from Yellow which was individualistic, and now it's swinging back to the collective ego which puts an emphasis on collectivism. The collectivism in Turquoise differs from the collectivism of Green which was about joining a group and serving the group identity The collectivism of Turquoise consists of manifesting the self for the benefit of existential reality. Not for your Stage Green political party! But for the benefit of existential reality. For life as a whole! The essence of Turquoise is also to experience the wholeness of existence through mind and spirit The world is seen as a single dynamic organism with its own collective mind Everything connects to everything else A lot of boundaries break down There are a lot of ecological alignments for turquoise The universe is alive and intelligent. It’s not a dumb stone cold clockwork machine Turquoise is interested in building a human community based on mystical wisdom. Cooperative action for elevating the consciousness of mankind Turquoise is a synthesis of the left and the right brain. East and West. Science and religion. Mind body spirit and heart. Turquoise takes a very big picture of what life is about. It is not about the individual of becoming rich or successful, it is not about fighting for some political cause! It is about getting all of mankind to awaken to the magnificence of existence You won't find Turquoise in government, in politics, in education, in business, in the media etc Most people have never meet a turquoise human being People at Turquoise usually become gurus, sages, teachers, leaders, visionaries, healers and clairvoyance. Usually they start their own little communities
    When does Turquoise emerge?
Turquoise emerges with the realization that Yellow has alone, no matter how much it models and understands stuff, It cannot solve the world's problems just its systemic understanding! There needs to be a community effort to work on these systemic problems that Yellow sees and that's when Turquoise emerges Turquoise emerges when Yellow starts to see that consciousness unifies everything and everyone The idea that consciousness is at the heart of every issue that Yellow tries to solve. Yellow must understand that only by changing the state of consciousness of a situation or a group of people there will be positive results. When Yellow starts to really see the limits of thinking and modelling and of reason and logic. When Yellow realizes that all the information that he has gathered so far, all his inquiries, have not led him to the ultimate answers. The ultimate answers have still not been answered at Yellow Turquoise emerges with very serious spiritual practices Turquoise is a flowering of mysticism When boundaries start to dissolve between self, other and the world. Physical boundaries With self-transcendence, with the dissolution of the ego With awareness of Maya, the dream that we are in When Yellow realises that the mind and understanding by itself doesn't bring him happiness. Yellow still suffers, is depressed and wants to transcend suffering, then Yellow starts to find a permanent solution to his unhappiness, so begins his path towards Turquoise
    Turquoise Values
Consciousness Elevating the consciousness of mankind as a whole Truth. Existential Truth, metaphysical Truth Deep metaphysical insights Metaphysics Wisdom and the wisdom of mother earth. The wisdom of nature Mysticism Non duality Spirituality God and divinity Holism Integration and synthesis Integrating all religions and science Left and right brain synthesis Honesty Transparency Radical authenticity Turquoise values being as opposed to knowing, doing and having Simplicity Flowing with nature Minimalist sustainable living Collaborative synergy Human wellness Healing on every dimension ( The physical dimension, the emotional dimension, the spiritual dimension) Exploring altered states of consciousness Intuition Channelling or direct downloads from infinite intelligence Super natural degrees of creativity Spiritual purification Awakening Transcendence Liberation Unconditional love Compassion for all Emotional mastery Presence Mindfulness Paradox Esoteric teachings Gratitude Unity Deeper and deeper levels of interconnectedness Selfless living Sacrificing the self for greater consciousness of the whole Meditation Yoga Contemplation Self-inquiry Turquoise values not knowing Humility Spontaneity Playfulness Self-amusement Turquoise tends to be light hearted Really really big picture thinking and embodiment
How to distinguish between Turquoise and Green
Because both are communal and collectivistic pendulum wise, it is really easy to confuse between the two, so watch out! At Turquoise you start to have real mysticism whereas at Green you tend to have new-agey faddish sort of spiritual practices where you may take part in a spiritual group, you go to a Yoga class and do a little bit of meditation, or do meditation retreats here and there but it's not serious. You are doing it for like a health benefit or to calm your mind or to reduce anxiety. None of these have anything to do with real deep metaphysical meditation At Turquoise you start to have industrial grade levels of meditation and contemplation, not casual amateurism like what Green is doing. Turquoise is informed by direct non dual experiences rather than beliefs or ideas that Green got from reading a book. Green believes in a lot of things like reincarnation, a belief in Gaia, as a mother nature like design of intelligence, or belief in a soul or a belief in God! But these don't matter if you haven't directly experienced that stuff for yourself Turquoise embraces global collectivism without attacking individuality like the way Green did! With Turquoise everybody is allowed to be individualistic if they so choose. But at a same time there is a recognition of this sort of global collectivism that needs to happen Another difference is that Turquoise is conscious of the spiral and Turquoise is a spiral wizard being able to see the world from all these different perspectives in a way that Green wasn't able. Turquoise is not as triggered by social injustices as Green was. There is an acceptance and a deep understanding. The acceptance comes from a deep understanding of conflict, war, violence, greed. Green was just reacting against those unconscious characteristics , whereas Turquoise has deep existential understanding of these negative things. Turquoise is much more understanding of stage Orange. Doesn't demonize stage Orange the way Green does. Turquoise is not as political as Green, Turquoise doesn't take politics too seriously. Green loves to join its political causes, gets a little too militant to defend what Green believes in. Turquoise is a little more playful about the problems that go on socially although not ignorant. Turquoise avoids the mob mentalities that come with Green. In Turquoise there is an awareness of Ego, more mindfulness and more presence whereas Green lacks those traits. Turquoise tends to have much more emotional mastery than Green Turquoise tends to be non-reactive and detached whereas Green is very reactive and very attached Turquoise is quite effective at solving large problems whereas Green was more about getting together and protesting and complaining about stuff they don't like
    Characteristics of Turquoise
Turquoise sees the human race as a single organism, everything is connected, this is not a metaphor, you actually see the dissolution of the physical boundary between self and other A fading of artificial boundaries of ethnicity, skin colour, gender, race, nationality, bloodlines To Turquoise, his mother is as related to him as his coffee table. All boundaries start to break down Turquoise sees the world as interlinked causes and effects as interacting fields of energy For turquoise there is joint activity across groups, factions and communities Feelings and emotions come back into play Work must be meaningful to the overall health of life There's a deep trust of intuition and instinct The self is a part of a large conscious spiritual whole Non manipulative Non-ideological Non judgemental Not driven by fear or selfless selfishness Doesn't play victim Doesn't play blame games Turquoise is far beyond Green faddish spirituality, Turquoise has direct experience of its spirituality and embodies spirituality Deeper spiritual and metal capacities are awakened. New senses, new abilities that you may think that are super human now become ordinary The development of paranormal abilities Healing abilities Astral projection Remote viewing The mystical becomes the mundane for Turquoise Inspiring levels of emotional mastery Minimalist living, less is more Ecologically conscious like Green and Yellow, maybe even more so now! Being a visionary Being an inspiring leader The unification of science, technology, medicine and mysticism A really deep understanding and unification of all religion For Turquoise collective imperatives reign supreme over individual egoic needs Turquoise is engaged in business. But it's gonna be business with soul. For Turquoise there is a sense of a greater community built around spiritual embodiment Turquoise represents the sixth and the seventh chakra, the third eye and the crown chakra Turquoise actions come from selfless love and an open heart Great mental and behavioural flexibility Sexual desire is transmuted into metaphysical love Turquoise loves to deal with paradox Post rational and post material Non-linear Human centred Super natural intuition High integrity For Turquoise the universe is both impersonal and deeply personal Conscious of the miracle of life Turquoise is now an even deeper systems thinker than Yellow was For Turquoise life consists of fractals Turquoise stands in awe at the cosmic order, like stars, clouds, trees, cars, plants, animals etc For Turquoise reality can be experienced but never truly known Dissolution of the ego A movement away from gross materialism to subtle stuff A shift from the external to the internal A transcendence of morality, meaning, judgement, life and death, duality, mind, reason, science, good and evil Turquoise is finally able to have really deep honest meaningful relationships beyond the shallow and petty clinginess and neediness and materialism that came with Tier 1.

    Turquoise Statistics
Less than 0.1% of the global population is at Turquoise Less than 1% of the total world influence belongs to Turquoise The style of government under Turquoise is a holistic organism! Micro-management of all life forms towards the common good in response to macro problems. It is very globalist! The purpose of this government and this society is to elevate the consciousness of all of mankind
    Spiral Dynamics vs Non-Duality
It is true that the higher you go on the spiral, the more consciousness the individual tends to exhibit, but make sure that you don't confuse stage Turquoise with strict non-duality. You can be in a non-dual state and not be at stage Turquoise Don't confuse Turquoise with Enlightenment or Non-Duality If someone is Enlightened, doesn't mean that he is Turquoise, and if someone is Turquoise, this doesn't mean that he is enlightened.
    The mantras of Turquoise
Everything is one We are all God You are already enlightened Everything is perfect and at the same time everything is evolving To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower The kingdom of heaven is within Forgive them father for they know not what they do Life is a dream What triggers Turquoise?
Not that much triggers Turquoise. Turquoise is acceptant and quite understanding of how Maya works, how ignorance works. Turquoise has developed quite a high degree of emotional maturity and mastery. The insanity of the world The status quo Myopia, the limited vision that people have Materialistic corruption Profits over truth and spirit Dogmatic scientism and rationalism Ecological dysfunction The collective suffering of mankind ( All the suffering that mankind is facing is largely self-inflicted) Little petty mundane survival stuff Limitations of Turquoise
Turquoise is so sophisticated that it tends to not have any big limitations as the lower stages have Too mystical and too spiritual to the point of dropping all concerns for earthly problems Turquoise people tend to live in a bubble. In their own reality Developing a Guru Cult like complex For Turquoise life can become sort of meaningless Turquoise can deny the importance of the political issues Turquoise can assume that other people are just as capable of awakening as they are Turquoise can develop a mega tribe and in worst case scenarios it can clash with another Turquoise mega tribe Turquoise can be stuck on shallow states of enlightenment and non-dual experiences Warning
There tends to be an over idealization of Turquoise. A big mistake would be to think of Turquoise as this perfect, Jesus like human being. Turquoise can make mistakes and behave wrongly just like anyone else. Turquoise doesn't mean that someone is a literal saint. Turquoise doesn't make you moral or good Turquoise doesn't make you special. Don't make the mistake of thinking that once you reach Turquoise your life will be perfect Turquoise doesn't make you enlightened Turquoise will not make you immune to false beliefs or to lower perspectives or cultural biases Turquoise doesn't make you immune to dangerous social ideas. Turquoise people are also capable of holding dangerous/unconscious political opinions What works well in Turquoise's head doesn't mean it will also work well in reality Turquoise is not immune of hurting others Turquoise is not immune of sexual cravings Turquoise is not immune to addictions But generally Turquoise will have transcended a lot of these unwanted addictions and behaviours otherwise he would have had it very difficult for him to reach Turquoise
    How to transcend Turquoise?
You don't have to transcend Turquoise. You reached the summit of the spiral! Your focus should be on how to embody Turquoise as deeply as possible! Once at Turquoise you should really focus on exploring non-duality to its fullest
    How to embody Turquoise?
Make sure you have a hardcore, industrial-grade spiritual practice going whether that's meditation, yoga, self-inquiry, contemplation or whatever else Contemplate everything! Don't just contemplate things like What am I? or Who I am? Or what reality is? Contemplate the little things like what is language ? What are relationships ? What is sexuality? What is politics? What is government ? Contemplate all the things! Embody unconditional love Long solo retreats Spiritual purification work of various kinds Shadow work Do psychedelics especially 5 MEO DMT Join or start some kind of spiritual community Read Turquoise books Meet Turquoise sages face to face Study many religions. Make sure your mystical practices aren't coming from just one school or tradition Study cutting edge science Study non-dual theory deeply Open your chakras Transmute your sexual energy Learn alternative healing techniques To really master Turquoise make sure you go back and master all the lower stages. Go all the way back to Purple and ask yourself, what am I missing from Purple or from Red or from Blue or from Orange or from Green or Yellow, what aspect of Blue am I missing or that I haven't fully embodied? Master all the lower stages. There is a lot of depth at every stage Keep watching Actualized.org

  9. Ken Wilber thinking Stage Green is the problem (response to Leo's blog)
Ken Wilber thinking Stage Green is the problem (response to Leo's blog)
Orange is much more than making money. It is setting your own goals, rationality, science, seeing limitations of dogma, fitness and health, dating and attraction, democracy vs theocracy, secularism, financial responsibility, self-education, etc.

  10. How could feelings be just about survival and nothing else?
How could feelings be just about survival and nothing else?
@integral You want to call everything a feeling. I don't. So we will never agree.
A tree is not a feeling. I don't know any clearer way to explain it.
    Exercise:
In your direct experience locate what is a feeling. Then locate what is not a feeling. Observe the difference between the two. Notice that non-feeling exists.

  11. How does one find joy in the present moment without accomplishing something external?
How does one find joy in the present moment without accomplishing something external?
The reality is that getting joy from just sitting around and doing nothing requires insane levels of consciousness and development.
And people who have pent up desires to burn through will not be able to do it until they burn through those desires first.
For me, the joy doesn't come from just sitting and doing nothing mindlessly, the joy comes from a deep consciousness of existential matters about reality. But you could even call that a kind of intellectual seeking.
If you want to literally have joy from doing nothing, that will not be possible without some serious awakenings and some serious ego-death. The ego is never happy just doing nothing. Especially if you have a decent sense of ambition, which you do.
For most people to be happy they need to be working on things which give their life meaning, whether that's business, family, gym, travel, or whatever.
Of course the thrill of success will be stronger than the mild joy of just be present. The thrill of achievement is a dopamine hit. The joy of presence is a serotinin hit. They are two different reward pathways. Dopmine hits are stronger but they are also always fleeting.
    So there's a tradeoff.

  12. what if?
    what if?
The point is to see that you are creating those things.
Meaning exists as something your mind creates. Otherwise it doesn't.
It's like you are given a canvas with an elephant drawn on it and told that the elephant only exists because someone drew it. Otherwise there is no elephant. And you reply, "But elephants aren't real then? Elephants are a hoax?! Why would you want a life without elephants?"

  13. So tired of gurus telling me I need to suffer first to deserve happiness
So tired of gurus telling me I need to suffer first to deserve happiness
The search for meaning is the search for consciousness of yourself as God.
Last night I sat for an hour on my couch just stunned by my consciousness of God. This is a level of profoundity nobody understands.
You are God and you just sitting there is infinitely profound, if only you develop enough understanding to inferface with it.
It's not even about truth, it's about being God. Being God is more meaningful than any human meaning. Nothing has meaning next to God. Your experience of reality becomes divine and metaphysical, not human. That's what I suffer for. Suffering is just the ticket price to God's Disneyland.

  14. I need help reconnecting with God
I need help reconnecting with God
Formal technique is important to not waste your retreat lost in monkey mind.
You need 4-5 days of formal just to get your mind into a good space. Then you could ease off on it and experiment.

  15. The difference between Self and Being
The difference between Self and Being
Imagine nothing changes about your experience other that there is no sense of self to it. That's what no-self means. It does not mean lack of experience.
When you were a baby you had experience but no self. Animals also have experience but no self.

  16. Steelmanning Buddhist deconstruction - Emptiness = God
Steelmanning Buddhist deconstruction - Emptiness = God
God-Realization is not merely form either. That too is a kind of mistake in reductionism. God is a kind of consciousness's recognition of itself. If that recognition is missing then God has not been grasped.
We are not talking about form or no form. We are talking about a self-reflective recognition. Like, does the banana recognize that it is a banana? If you try to boil that recognition down in any other thing or no-thing then you missed the assignment.

  17. Can you get crazy from philosophy?
Can you get crazy from philosophy?
You need to start with smaller problems/questions before you try to grasp the ultimate nature of reality.
Start with smaller, more grounded questions which you can experience immediate success with by having genuine insights.
Over years the small insights will accumulate and open doors to deeper insights.
Make sure you keep your philosophy grounded to direct experience. Investigate and make observations about the workings of your own mind.
Here's an assingment to get you started on the right track:
Observe and categorize every function of your own mind. What are all the things your mind does or can do?
Don't speculate. Observe it and write them down. Make philosophy more like science you do on yourself.
Ultimate reality is so radical that it cannot be understood from your normal state of consciousness. A change in state is required. Smaller questions don't require a change in state.

  18. Spiral Dynamics - Stage Yellow Notes
Spiral Dynamics - Stage Yellow Notes
After rewatching @Leo Gura 's Spiral Dynamics - Stage Yellow video, and manually taking notes as the video progressed, I've come up with the final blueprint for Stage Yellow. This is a thorough summary which took me like 5 hours to create manually! No AI was used for creating this summary! I hope it helps folks who forgot bits and pieces about what Stage Yellow entails! Enjoy!

Chances are, if you love the Actualized.org content, that you have something within you that resonates with Yellow.

With Yellow we finally reach Tier 2. Before Yellow we have all the other stages, which summarize the conventional way of thinking which represent almost 99% of mankind. With Yellow we shift into tier 2.

    What is tier 2?

Tier 2 represents a quantum leap in one's awareness of reality! It's an awakening to systems thinking and holism. Recognizing that everything within reality is deeply interconnected in ways that Tier 1 couldn't even imagine! Tier 2 is opening up to awareness of the spiral itself. Tier 2 is a shift from survival into being. A shift from needy perception into being perception. Being perception means looking at a thing and seeing it for what it really is. Needy perception means looking at a thing as to how it can serve you. Tier 2 derives its values from the magnificence of existence itself rather than from selfish interests or group interests. With tier 2 there is a much wider and deeper perspective of life. You are no longer concerned only about your personal survival problems or how to acquire personal success, rather you are concerned with the problems of the entire mankind or problems of the entire globe. Ideas become multi-dimensional in tier 2. There is a lot of layers and complexity to things. There is now an awareness of one's own perspective. You realize that your perspective is partial and that there are also many other valid perspectives besides your own. The problem with tier 1 is that they think that only their perspective is valid and only their perspective is based in absolute truth and all the other perspectives are false. In tier 2 you realize that that way of thinking is flawed. There is no such thing as objectivity. Tier 2 does away with judgement, demonizing, blaming and scapegoating. At tier 2 demonization becomes untenable. Nobody looks like a demon anymore. Evil ceases to exist. Tier 2 is non moralistic Tier 2 replaces fear with curiosity and care Tier 2 is basically what Abraham Maslow described as the self-actualizing individual.
What is the essence of Yellow?

Systemic, integrative and multi perspectival. Yellow uses multiple perspectives to analyse reality. This is one of Yellow's core defining feature. Yellow swings the pendulum from the collectivist approach of Green back to the individualistic approach While Orange was also individualistic, it only cared about personal success, damn the consequences regardless if the success came at the cost of hurting others. In contrast Yellow still cares about personal success but not at the cost of others. Yellow has a sensitivity and awareness that excessive self-interest can cause a lot of harm to others. Yellow is aware of its own carbon footprint. Yellow is careful to not hurt others through its own actions Yellow is all about understanding the magnificence of existence Yellow is all about exploring reality using your mind Yellow believes that a kernel of truth can be found in each perspective. Yellow is open to exploring various extremely radical perspectives that orange or green or blue would have instantly shut down or dismiss. Yellow is extremely open minded Yellow is about designing integrated and open systems Yellow is seeing life as a kaleidoscope of natural hierarchies, systems and flows Yellow people are the information elites They are caring yet at the same time realistic Being a realist is what defines yellow's understanding of politics and mankind as a whole
    When does Yellow emerge?

Yellow emerges from the limitations of Green! Green goes into mob mentality, into over emotionality, into overly sacrificing for the collective, so Yellow brings that back. Yellow emerges when Green develops increased discernment When Green ultimately becomes frustrated with fruitless activism At the tail end of Green you start to see the wreckage of the entire spiral. You realize that all the stages are fighting each other and basically the tier 1 thinking and mentality is endangering and jeopardizing all of mankind. When you realize that you aren't going to solve mankind's problems with the tier 1 mentality. You need to move to tier 2. Ideas become more interesting to Yellow than community which was interesting for Green. Yellow becomes extremely interested of how the other side thinks rather than just criticising and judging
    Stage Yellow Values

Nuance and complexity Open mindedness Multiple perspectives Novel concepts and points of view Generating fresh insights Understanding Systems thinking Non-linear dynamics Sustainability and long-time horizons Yellow values going meta Big picture understanding versus technical analysis Connecting the dots Penetrating to the core of an issue Identifying and solving root problems Taking a multi-disciplinary approach Mixing perspectives from the soft sciences with the hard sciences Creativity and outside of the box solutions Ecology Responsible ways of being Studying models Yellow values spiral dynamics Natural hierarchies Education Knowledge Research Reading Diversity Clean content and concentrated information Yellow likes to absorb as much information as possible into its commonplace book Lifelong learning Proactive about learning Yellow likes to be self-taught Expertise Competence Experience Complexity Context Learning from history Developing skills to become an instrument for the greater good Independent thinking Neutrality Being objective and impartial Designing solutions for the entire spiral rather than just for one's own colour the way that tier 1 does! Meeting people at where they are at! Building bridges Social engineering Ecological designs Reducing the suffering of living systems Pulling ideas from many different sources Combining different ideas, models and theories Yellow is left brained Vision Purpose Being a visionary Being a pioneer Requisite variety Mental flexibility Self-actualization Paradox Uncertainty Responsibility Independence Autonomy Being a lone wolf (Because Yellow is moving away from the group hive mind that was characteristic of Green!) Warning!!! It is really easy to confuse Yellow with Orange
How to distinguish between Yellow and Orange?

Firstly you have to be aware that these two stages are radically different from one another. Yellow represents a quantum leap in development compared to Orange! Yellow is beyond concerns of self-survival whereas Orange is completely survival oriented Orange is often driven only by personal success! It only wants money and achievement and recognition and earning prizes and awards! Yellow doesn't care about these things anymore, Yellow is beyond that! Make sure to don't confuse manipulation of systems with systems thinking! Orange exploits and manipulates and takes advantage of existing systems for its own benefit, whereas Yellow thinks systemically in order to improve and innovate and evolve pre-existing systems. Yellow would never abuse or manipulate a system's flaw for its own benefit, rather Yellow will try to use its intelligence to try and repair a faulty system, but never exploit it! Yellow has a selfless, gentle demeanour about himself, Orange has a selfish exploitative demeanour about himself Systems thinking is about understanding the system, seeing life and reality as a set of complex systems interacting with each other and it is about caring about the health of the entire system! Yellow cares about preserving the system. Whereas Orange cares about exploiting the system for his own benefit! Yellow's attitude is non manipulative! That's the key distinction between Yellow and Orange! Yellow cares about ecology Yellow cares about collateral damage unlike Orange Yellow has a long time horizon whereas Orange has a short time horizon For example if an Orange CEO runs a company and he can increase the next quarter earnings by 10 fold but as a consequence the company will have severe difficulties over 5 years, because the Orange CEO will be the CEO of that company for only 3 years he doesn't care what happens after he is gone, all he cares right now is to fill his pockets! A Yellow CEO will be very mindful of how he runs his company now and what risks he takes now in order not jeopardize the future of the company down the road! Yellow is non-judgemental and neutral in a way that Orange isn't Yellow is aware of the entire spiral, in a way that Orange isn't, and also, Yellow is aware of itself. Orange is not aware of itself! Yellow creates designs that accommodate for the entire spiral Orange schemes and manipulates to accommodate only for himself Even if it hurts the spiral, Orange will have no remorse doing what it serves him best! Whereas Yellow will be extremely cautious and caring for the whole spiral. For all the human and nonhuman beings! Yellow will avoid all the actions that have the potential to hurt anyone across the spiral!
    Characteristics of Yellow

Yellow is non-ideological yet highly principled Yellow acts from an inter directed core Yellow has a strong ethical core ( This ethical core doesn't derive from some religion, or some set of Commandments or some book! Rather it derives from his own inner wisdom which Yellow has garnered through massive life experience and thorough studying about life and reality. Yellow's understanding of the world is derived from exploring different perspectives and assembling all the small pictures into one Big Picture that consists of all the perspectives and systems Yellow observed throughout his life) Yellow feels that understanding other worldviews is critical! For Yellow there is some kernel of truth in every worldview! To Yellow few ideas are sacred! To yellow all ideas are subject to revision and upgrade! Yellow is highly flexible whereas the lower stages are more rigid! ( Warning! An individual that changes his opinion on various subjects all the time is not Yellow!!! That's Orange or Red! Only Orange or Red is sneaky enough to change its opinions in order to align with the agenda that is running the government in that moment) Although Yellow is flexible, a Yellow person will never go from one extreme to another, Yellow fine tunes its opinions but never drastically shifts from one extreme to another.   For Yellow the world is a complex self-organizing natural system that requires integral solutions. Yellow appreciates just how complex social issues are, political issues, like poverty, and health care, and the economy! All of these are very nuanced complex issues! There are no easy simple solutions for such problems! Yellow introduces lots of ideas, connections, and complexity. If you bring a Yellow person into your business, they're going to bring in lots of these unique complicated ideas. Yellow has an overarching view for living systems Yellow takes effective action to support the whole Yellow integrates science, religion, and personal development Yellow doesn't really care what others think about him. To Yellow what others think of him is interesting but not critical To Yellow nothing is evil or purely negative. To Yellow there is a higher wisdom even about the bad stuff in life To Yellow every system has value, but that doesn't mean that every system is equal. Certain perspectives may be deemed as outright wrong and very unhealthy! Yellow will recognize that! Yellow has given up clinging to tradition or old status quo ways Yellow believes in being adaptable to your environment, that's how you survive Yellow sees deep common threads everywhere Yellow is able to hold two contradictory perspectives at the same time, a thing that all the lower stages weren't able to do. Yellow has a greater degree of behavioural freedom than all the other stages Yellow wants to develop natural living environments to support human evolution Yellow has an overarching vision about a system and then determines what the system needs to grow into blossom. If you think of systems as plants, then Yellow is the gardener Yellow moves freely between different value systems Yellow believes in acupunctural interventions which means taking a small action to make a big impact Yellow is aware of self-bias and self-deception, in a way the tier 1 stages weren't aware of. Yellow looks beyond merely human oriented interests. There are larger concerns, global concerns, universal concerns Yellow has a large vision about the future for humanity, and Yellow can have a lot of revolutionary and visionary ideas Yellow tends to have an enormous drive and focus to actualize his ideas Yellow recognizes the importance of consciousness and spirituality, although not yet fully immersed in true spirituality Yellow is operating at the level of mind, intellect and analysis Yellow sees the limitations of reductionism, pragmatism, behaviourism, logical positivism, rationalism, and libertarianism Yellow tends to be curious without judging and keeps asking questions For Yellow there is a constant flow of new ideas and ways of thinking Yellow understands that everything is connected and works together Yellow is good at distinguishing the essential and the ancillary Yellow is always keeping an eye on the big picture not on the technical minutiae Yellow loves learning and is a quick learner Yellow is open to learning from many sources Yellow has an attitude of open questioning and discovery To Yellow every experience is a learning opportunity Yellow has strong humanistic and inclusive values Yellow enjoys paradox and uncertainty and is adept at resolving paradoxes Yellow can enter the point of view of all the spiral stages, also Yellow sees al the lower stages as legitimate. The lower stages don't need to be demonized Yellow is able to facilitate the movement of people up and down the spiral Yellow is able to dialogue with every stage of the spiral below it Yellow is here to develop systems for tier 1 in order to evolve upward at its own pace One of the biggest differences between Green and Yellow is that Green tried to get everyone bellow it to jump up to Green, whereas Yellow will try to get a stage Red individual firstly through a solid integration of stage Blue, before it tries to get that individual to the highest level. Yellow will do that using a systemic, pragmatic, right process. Yellow sees each system as the next step, but not to the best or the final Yellow is not reactive Yellow is able to listen deeply Yellow recognizes layered dynamics Yellow is able to entertain an idea without believing in it Yellow has a knack for gathering information from diverse sources Yellow is continuously evolving Yellow prefers elegant simplicity and functionality rather than opulent displays of power ( Red, Orange and Blue love to brag and to show to the world how cool and rich and how big of an individual they are) Yellow has no need for status and exhibitionism Yellow is not concerned with comparisons, rather than comparing itself to others, Yellow compares itself to itself Yellow cannot be coerced, bribed or intimidated Yellow doesn't get involved with criticism or controlling behaviour Yellow doesn't desire to control or to be controlled Yellow doesn't create enemies Yellow doesn't scapegoat Yellow is immune to radicalization You cannot brainwash Yellow. Yellow thinks in so many perspectives, you cannot trap him into only one way of thinking, into a cult! Yellow is drawn by hotspots where the evolving crisis demands new insights Yellow has a meta understanding of human nature and conflict Yellow is aware of backfiring mechanisms. Yellow is able to anticipate the consequences of policies and behaviours that may work in counter intuitive ways Yellow is counter intuitive Yellow has a sense of delight when encountering the new and the novel For Yellow authority is contextual. Yellow will choose as it's leader the best, the most competent individual in regards with the problem at hand. If a different problem arises, then Yellow will choose a different leader which has expertise with dealing with the new problem. At Yellow the leader isn't static. Yellow enjoys minimal consumption Yellow can be gentle or ruthless, conformist or non-conformist, it all depends of what the situation at hand demands of Yellow Yellow is a Chameleon. Yellow is always looking to find win-win-win solutions. Where the two parties doing the business win plus the costumers or the recipients of the end result win. Where the entire spiral and the entire ecological system as a whole also benefits. Yellow doesn't join wholeheartedly and group experiences. Yellow tends to be a bit of a lone wolf. Yellow prefers to keep a low profile Yellow doesn't like a lot of attention. Yellow's best work comes from a place of solitude and aloneness Yellow will not sacrifice himself for the commune the way that Green would Yellow has a soften, mature, responsible masculinity Yellow is characterized by being a centrist on the political spectrum but can sway to the left or the right depending on the political issues Yellow is trying to solve!

    Analysing some examples of Yellow

Let's take vegetarianism. What is the difference between vegetarianism at Green vs at Yellow?
A Green vegetarian is an obnoxious, proselytizing vegetarian. A Yellow vegetarian will still understand the same things as Green does, but he will react in a more mellow, understanding way towards a meat eater, basically understanding that you can't convince someone who ate meat all their life into joining you into vegetarianism. Yellow allows other people to live life according to their current level of development, as opposed to imposing his Yellow worldview onto others the same Green does!
Let's focus on Yellow political solutions!
For example let's focus on the Israeli - Palestine conflict!
A tier 1 person will look at the situation and will immediately pick a side! A stage Yellow person will firstly analyse thoroughly the situation on the ground, actually going into both Palestine and Israel and interviewing people that live there, asking everyone for his side of the story, and then Yellow , without trying to push his political agenda, will try to find the common ground between the two conflicting sides, and looking for a long term healthy solution that will be suitable for both the Palestinians and the Israelis. Yellow will try to defuse any ideological polarization that sits at the root of the conflict!
What would be a Yellow approach when it comes to the economy?
The main problem with tier 1 economists is that they have very strong and rigid opinions on how the economy should be handled! Those people are ideologues! They are either Hard core capitalists, libertarians, socialists, communists and so on! A stage Yellow approach means looking at the systemic problems that our economy has! Moreover, Yellow will try to make accurate sense of how the main stake holders in the economy view the world, what are their fears, what motivates them? Yellow will try and do that with all the major groups of people who have the power to positively or negatively influence our economic situation. Yellow will bend over backwards to get a crystal clear understanding of the big picture when it comes to economics before attempting to change something! Yellow will study the situation extremely carefully then he will come up with systemic solutions for economy!
Yellow's approach in regards to the educational system!
A tier 1 person will either be pro public schools or pro private schools without acknowledging the main causes of the dysfunctional nature of our education system! A stage Yellow person will firstly study and analyse what are the main problems! Where are the leaks within the current system of education. Yellow will do a complex diagnosis before attempting change! Yellow will travel the world to explore different educational systems and analyse what makes those systems work!
How to know if you are really a Stage Yellow person?
Are you non-judgemental? This is the most important quality for being solid Yellow! Have you stopped demonizing people? Have you stopped debating and arguing with people? Have you stopped moralizing and blaming and scapegoating? Have you stopped crusading? (Tier 1 people go a lot into intellectual or ideological crusades, ranting about an enemy, whether it's the right or the left, or the progressives or the neo-nazis! If you have something that is triggering you from the aforementioned you have still some way to go before you reach Yellow! Let it go!) Have you stopped being an Social Justice Warrior? Are you able to be impartial? Are you able to really step outside of your own agenda? Can you see the world through the lower stages? Do you see the validity of the lower stages or you think that the lower stages are dumb and should not exist? That is the key difference between tier 1 and tier 2!!! Do you see that every perspective is partially true? If you have difficulties stepping into a Nazi's shoes, and to try to understand what makes the Nazi think the way he thinks.. This means you are not yet into Yellow! Are you genuinely curious to explore other points of view? Are you able to go meta? Do you see that mankind's problem aren't personal but systemic? And that the problems are really nobody's fault? Until you realize this you will always scapegoat and demonize people. Thinking that it's the Christians fault or it's the billionaires fault, therefore meaning that you are yet to reach Yellow!
    The mantras of Yellow
We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that we used to create them! The map is not the territory! Every perspective is partially true and partially false! Wisdom is knowing what you don't know! Perspective is everything! The better the model the bigger the problem! New times require new thinking! Different strokes for different folks! It takes all kinds!
    What triggers Yellow?
Tier 2 is not easy to trigger! That’s one of tier 2's hallmarks! The blindness and infighting of tier 1 Yellow will feel frustrated of the lack of progress and backwardness that exists all around the world! As a Yellow person you will rarely find likeminded individuals, you won't be represented in the media, on the internet, in politics, you have to be prepared for a world which isn't ready to accommodate you! Black and white thinking, because Yellow is exactly the opposite which is means Yellow is a nuanced thinker Non-Systemic thinking, people who think too short term Excessive rationalism, reductionism, scientism People who turn science into a religion or dogma Frustrated will all kinds of dogmatic and ideological people Conformity and groupthink Polarization Demonization Radicals and radicalization People who don't understand spiral dynamics Consumerism and profiteering Religion can trigger Yellow Fixed structures which offer no space for knowledge, development, analysis or conceptualizing Red tape and bureaucracy Working in groups Myopia, the lack of vision that people have Yellow can be frustrated by the fact that most people are focused on short term petty human issues rather than the higher issues that face mankind By people who lack an interest in the big picture People who are overly technical and focused on trivia Politics and gamesmanship and manipulation
What are the limitations of Yellow?
Yellow is still stuck in duality Mysticism is still not possible within Yellow because Yellow is too much in his thinking mind Yellow thinks too much Yellow may be unwilling to transcend models and concepts Yellow can get bogged down in complex analysis Yellow can develop an intellectual hubris which can lead to a form of arrogance Yellow can invent a lot of futuristic solutions that are not pragmatic. Ideas that look great on paper but that cannot be actualized yet. Not being able to finish something because Yellow is always on the hunt for something new to approach and solve Yellow is too much of a loner. He needs a team to actualize his vison but because of his solitary nature, he struggles with being part of a team or group. Yellow might encounter difficulties creating a community Yellow can forget to connect with people because he is too focused on models and ideas rather than relationships Yellow can be emotionally distant The biggest limitation of this stage is the fact that Yellow is still unhappy despite all this knowledge and intelligence that Yellow has acquired! A lack of embodiment of the things that he so thoroughly developed inside its mind! Yellow cannot solve the world's problems alone, Yellow needs a community for that!

    Yellow statistics
About 1% of the adult global population is Yellow Yellow has about 5% of world influence through the media, books, government programs The style of government under Yellow is systemic flow, it's knowledge centred governance, the dawn of systems thinking within governance and ruled by experts and intellectuals
    How to transcend Yellow?
To transcend Yellow you will have to go from self-actualization into self-transcendence You have to realize that understanding and the mind will never bring you happiness Enlightenment, Kundalini awakening Psychedelics Kriya Yoga Meditation Self-Inquiry Vipassana Spiritual practices Solo meditation retreats Long periods of isolation Realizing the limits of concepts and the mind and beliefs You need to go beyond models into a deep embodiment of the things you read about in books Be more emotional Be less logical Yellow is a bit too left brained, he needs to bring back a little into the right brain Opening up the heart chakra Loving kindness meditation Practicing more compassion Be more intuitive Surrender all control Totally deconstruct your ego Deconstruct your web of beliefs and your emotions Deconstruct all your models and all your concepts Deconstruct materialism and dualism Start to read a lot of books about non-duality Start contemplating You need to transcend language to transcend Yellow, start to see the limitations of language Mindfulness practice Practice mindfulness all the time Start to live your life in the way the turquoise saints and sages have lived their life Melt into the now! You need to become really present Heal your energetic system! You may have energetic blockages, blocked chakra Join a spiritual community Ultimately to transcend Yellow you need to enter into a state of no mind

    Conclusions
If you are Orange, your ego will really want to claim that you are Yellow! Be careful about that, you are probably nowhere near Yellow! It is very easy to overestimate yourself on the spiral! Even if you are really Yellow, remember that there are many degrees of Yellow, how solidly and how deep are you into Yellow? Become a student of the spiral, revisit the previous stages of the spiral and try to make deep sense of what each stage has to teach you! Learn how to communicate with each stage. Go back to each stage and ask yourself what positive aspects of the previous stages have I not fully integrated? And try to integrate those missing aspects! Also try to spot out within yourself the negative aspects from previous stages that you are still doing to this day.
    Warnings
Don't make the mistake of thinking that Yellow is infallible. Yellow can make mistakes. Yellow can subscribe too deeply to one bad perspective more than he should! Yellow could make factual errors, Yellow is not perfect Yellow doesn't mean that it can't hurt people, sometimes Yellow's solutions can backfire in its face. Also Yellow could be too cold in relationships or make mistakes in his personal life Yellow can have personal problems or unhealthy behaviours or addictions. Although this is less likely because Tier 2 people tend to be more mature and more conscious Make sure you don't over idealize any particular stage!

  19. Are there different kinds of intelligence? (struggling with IQ self esteem)
Are there different kinds of intelligence? (struggling with IQ self esteem)
There is a factor to intelligence which is general, across-the-board. That determines a baseline. But then there are individual types of intelligence over-top of that. So people can be quite dumb or rusty in some domains.
For example, I've always struggled with math intelligence. Math was always an uphill struggle for me because the way my mind works is not wired for it. My verbal intelligence is way higher and comes to me effortlessly. Intelligence determines what comes easily or naturally to you and what doesn't.
But also don't forget that you can develop higher intelligence by training, education, cognitive development, consciousness work, emotional work. Rationality, for example, isn't automatic, it must be developed. If you fail to develop rationality you will be pretty dumb even if you have high general intelligence.
1-4% of the population has aphantasia, which means that cannot visualize, they do not see images in their mind. It's not a lack of intelligence, it's a kind of neuro-divergence. Maybe you have that, I don't know.

  20. Can deconstructing reality turn you into a serial killer ?
Can deconstructing reality turn you into a serial killer ?
Killing people in cold blood is so repugnant that if you're actually going to do it, there's a lot more involved to that than deconstructing reality. There's some kind of twisted emotional trauma element which has, ironically, not be deconstructed.
You can jailbreak your mind but you'd still need some compelling reason to go out of your way to murder people. It's just a dumb way to live.

  21. What are the odds that you, an average dude, is Tier 2? Not very high.
What are the odds that you, an average dude, is Tier 2? Not very high.
The key to identify Tier 2 is that a mind at Tier 2 truly understands that no one worldview is strictly correct, so it seeks to integrate many worldviews, and it understands that there is a hierarchy of worldviews based on development level and that each level serves its purpose and should not and cannot be eliminated or reduced away. Tier 2 understands that the mind needs to progress up stages, not just leap to its right view. The Tier 2 mind doesn't engage in the worldview battles of the Tier 1 worldviews because it's after a higher synthesis and meta-understanding.
And then of course this understanding can be embodied to various degrees.
You can't really learn this from ChatGPT because a Tier 1 mind will still be so attached to its worldview that it will want to fight with other worldviews. Tier 2 would be the transcendence of the need to fight and demonize the other views. Letting go of this need is not something that can be achieved just conceptually. So because of this Tier 2 is not a set of beliefs one adopts. Tier 2 is the ability to jump between many different paradigms, taking the best from each without getting trapped in any of them. In a sense, all worldviews start to make sense because you see why they exist and what purpose they serve, even if they are very limited or wrong. Tier 2 is to not get distracted by the obvious wrongness, sort of how a good parent does not let a child's wrongness and ignorance to distract from the underlying love and good intentions.

  22. What are the odds that you, an average dude, is Tier 2? Not very high.
What are the odds that you, an average dude, is Tier 2? Not very high.
Frankly I'm amazed at how much depth each stage has. I keep dipping back into Orange and Green and Yellow and learn more about myself and the mind.
Each color is like its own wellspring.
You gotta stop worrying which stage you're at and just grab insights and lessons from the whole Spiral whenever you can.
It's like a color palette and you are Picasso.

  23. How could feelings be just about survival and nothing else?
How could feelings be just about survival and nothing else?
All of experience is Truth, but then experience is co-opted and twisted to serve survival. Thoughts and emotions have Being in themselves as qualia, but notice how much thoughts and emotions become tools of the ego.
Survival is one lens to see things through. It's a powerful lens. But there's more to Consciousness than survival. So it depends on how you want to look at it, and what purposes you're looking at it for.
The feeling of an itch on your face is both a survival thing, but also an ontological, existenting, Being thing.
Of course that itch is God if looked at with sufficient consciousness.

  24. Žižek’s Negative Ontology
    Žižek’s Negative Ontology
Zizek is a sick, lost, fragmented mind.
There is a resolution to metaphysics. It is God-Realization. Whole, Perfect, clear, radiant.
Metaphysics is not resolved at the level of concepts, it's resolved at the level of realizing Self. Self is not some tortured, perverted Zizekian mind. Self is the wholeness of God.
Zizek is literally missing himSelf. His sickness manifests outwardly in his ramblings and ticks.
Ontology is not negative, it is positive. God positively exists.

  25. Mega-Thread of Low vs High Perspectives
Mega-Thread of Low vs High Perspectives
Yes, I started listening to his metaphysics until I quickly realized it is nonsense.
This entire meta-crisis community is full of sophisticated self-deception. Watch out. It sounds smart on the surface but the more critically you think about it the more absurd it becomes.
Game B will fail. It is completely out of touch with how power, economy, politics, society, and culture works. These Game B people jerk each other off in their own echochamber.
