What is your personality type?

Listed below are a list of personality types.

Like being an extrovert or an introvert, these are really states of being and we as humans are capable of all of these states, but what do you identify with the most?

Coleric - very blunt & straight forward, may struggle with empathy, good at seeing the big picture of things

Healthy example: Han Solo from Star Wars if he was more selfless

Flagmatic - Loyal and trusting, kind, hides from conflict at times but can still be very heroic and courageous when it is called upon

Healthy example: Sam Wise from Lord of the Rings

Melancholy - Detail- oriented, intelligent usually likes to read, more in touch with its emotions, empathetic towards others

Healthy example: Chiddy from The Good Place if he didn't always doubt his decisions

Sanguine - Loves to have fun, loves to talk and live in the moment

Healthy example: Joe Peschi's character from Goodfellas if his life purpose was to help humanity and not be in a gang and extort people for money

4 personality types is way too limited of a model. It will give you bad results. You need something with higher resolution.

I see myself in all 4.

Thought = Time. Without thought there's no time.

Never heard of this personality model, there are so many out there it seems..

I would say the Coleric fits me the most, reminds me of my MBTI type which is ENTJ

Look into MBTI/Socionics, it's much more in depth

Everything doesn't need to be put into a complex and complicated model

You can consciously trigger certain personality styles when going about life

Trigger being a sanguine when you're at the club and trying to meet women

Trigger being a coleric when you need to lead and make difficult decisions

Trigger being a flagmatic when you want to devote yourself to a cause

Trigger being a melancholy when you want to emphasize with another person

All of them, except Sanguine. Ideally a healthy, balanced person should have a mixture of different traits. Sanguine is important, probably the most important trait. Of course, someone who lacks a trait they want will tend to inflate it's level of importance.

The best way to describe your personality would be to write an essay about yourself. I wonder if any personality models have been made by looking at essays from many different people and trying to find common themes among them... (*erm* Clare Graves' emergent cyclical theory, later developed into Spiral Dynamics, although it's technically not a personality theory but an ontogenetic theory).

Intrinsic joy is revealed in the marriage of meaning and being.

Personality is ego. The wise knows how to consciously chose a personality for each type of situation.

Ego is identification. Personality is behavior.
