Juiceroo : the 120 million USD tragedy - When your CEO is excesively liberal

I wanted to share this as an example of what happens when a businessman lacks enough good ol' conservative values but it's way more than that.

If you're in the food industry you cant just tell people to " not to kill the cockroaches, just catch and release them " .

This whole story sounds like a South Park episode IRL

Was this not the company that sold a juice machine that had a barcode scanner built into the capsule to make sure you only used juicero drinks pouches with it? And then it turned out you could actually just squeeze the juice pouches to get the juice out rather than buying a $300 machine

Sad.

Be careful being too demanding in relationships. Relate to the person at the level they are at, not where you need them to be.

From what I understand, originally the packs were not supposed to have juice in them, but rather sliced raw fruit. That is why the machine was over designed with insane processing force available to it. And it's something of a cool idea, get fresh juice on the spot with no effort and no mess.

For whatever reason, they couldn't make the sliced fruit pouches work, prompting them to sell expensive juice pouches that didn't need the machine at all.

A chain of bad decisions.
