The Ghost In The Mirror - Of Slavery and Freedom.

"The moment the material world becomes more vital to a man than developing and extending his own primality, and this inversion becomes his pattern, his vitality is robbed in equal measure. Tamed, domesticated, until the living man is replaced by the ghost he sees in the mirror, which now governs every impulse of the man it once merely reflected. "Who am I?" - he exhales, believing that he has reached sentience, oblivious to the reality that his own wondering is a part of the potent expression of the spell itself.

The pursuit of greatness is not the pursuit of history's judgement, especially when so much of history is bought and paid for and modern society turns image into currency and competitive positioning. Weaponising the tendencies of masses to judge against them as they rail against or towards another oblivious to the levers being pulled to orchestrate their responses which feels like "human will" just as mischievously as "Who am I?" feels like a breakthrough in sentience. This is where men became misguided. Greatness is the pursuit of every man’s desire to experience his sovereignty, agency, imagination and primality as one indivisible force, to become entirely his own. Not to be shackled to history that is not one's own, but to know how to place one brick of one's own experience against another, without having the kaleidoscopic mirrors of the outside, being anything other than refining of the realities we bleed into our own through blood, sweat and tears. 

Money measures a man more truthfully when he has it than when he does not, and this is often one of the fan waving memetic instruments used to move the eyes of the masses from a young age. Does he use it to spoil himself with aimless pleasures until abundance suffocates his desire to possess his own spirit? Or does he use it as another means of testing his limits, claiming authority over his creative freedom and doing, with wisdom, whatever he wills? Poverty tests what a man can withstand. Wealth tests what he becomes when nothing prevents him from revealing himself. What the poor man does not realise, is that a rich man that is poor internally is envious of the problems a poor man still has to solve. 

Awareness within a physical body is likewise not a constraint, instead its a testing ground of strength, the resolve of awareness to be a liberation point not something that is suffocated by artificial realities implanted within the psyche to restrict its vital primal energies towards freedom. This is stated in such a way that awareness is not to be separated from agency, their pairing being the measure of the other, the test to remain sovereign over the system from which it arises, to be ruled neither by what happens within it nor by what happens to it; as where the boundarylessness of awareness meets the primality of agency, a primal sovereign urge becomes the maker of the next dream. Neither impulse, nor above it; a testing ground. It's restraint over impulse and its freedom to express power are two movements of the same mastery. Awareness then, combined with what becomes authority consciousness, completes this primality; primality gives awareness the force to call it spirit and matter resolution, rather than seeking to dissolve either out of a false safety or a false end to triumph. It is an acceptance of the fate of being a spirt in a physical being; and thus, that if a man does not work to bend the world to his will, relative to his own destiny, the world has spent histories refining the spells that will misdirect where he casts his dreams, and the invisible prisons he subsequently creates for himself, and the ignorance of those he now seeks the approval of, and they he, both tribal forces oblivious to the fact that they are worshiping death in part, more than the full liberty of the life within the being of a man himself. 

In this sense, it is better that a man possess less awareness than possess an awareness that obstructs his physical development, for the body, not the mind, is his first contact with reality, and if he is stupid, at least he will learn the false dreams less easily, and have more time to face the actual reality of his survival disposition, in physical action. Indeed, it is precisely when intelligence cannot intervene that wisdom is revealed in the naked reality of his own humility, absence of power. In the action he takes without deliberation, in what his body is prepared to endure, and in whether he remains capable when thought can no longer rescue him. So if a man cannot bend the world to his will in the literal sense, he who still does so with his own physical body is more a man than the one with endless money but without the creativity to direct his fortunes intelligently, totally held by the spell of desires he did not have the ingenuity to create for himself. And so, as he swallows on his endless desires, and more too after he gets to his last, he will sit there in envy, looking up at the man with seemingly nothing, no family, no money, no possessions, no intellect even, at the fact that this man has a groundedness he can never satisfy with all the money he has in the world. Thus, it is only when the body has first been made into an anchor, the mind developed upon it becomes the toughest of minds, capable of the widest and deepest intelligence. It can travel further because it has something powerful to return to, it can wonder further, because it has survived the harshest winters, and it can turn those dreams into reality, as it has practiced again and again against the physical limits of growth itself, teaching conversion from spirit to physical, by taming the spirit by understanding the physical through repeated training and action. From here and only here, every increase in wealth becomes the reflection of power already earned, followed by the creative joy of expressing one’s mind fully when body, intelligence, imagination and will have become one. 

A slave is merely someone who has not answered the call of the dream that would break him free, because he has been conditioned to mistake comfort for safety, and safety for the absence of fear. A visionary is merely someone who pursues that dream as a slave obeys his master, until he masters what he once served and breaks free through it.

Until then, the slave retreats from the very reality that would shatter his shackles, and so knows only the ghost that remains his secret captor, that he calls himself, and will often protect at any cost, even if it means giving up his own soul. 

I may own slaves. I may even have them shackled. Yet the shackles are imaginary. I command them to break free, and they look at me stupidly asking then who will feed them tomorrow, and even, "Who will feed you?". They ask to be there, their slavery gives them purpose so they merely ask that you play pretend with them in their own purpose, and in return, they will do anything upon that which you ask of them.

So be grateful for your problems, you're conditioned to believe you need to get rid of them when in reality this couldn't be further from the truth. Humans left to their own devices, are useless, often becoming nothing more than meditating on a mat withering away slowly, worshipping to another master, following some tribal ritual, drunk on desire, or some combination of anything other than doing that which actually breaks them free from the very thing they claim to not want; servitude. 

Faced head-on, problems are the only things severe enough to free you into the liberty and what becomes a joy of solving tougher challenges, everything in between, is the nourishing, growth, support, love and direction of the virtues that enable this to flourish in those around you. This is when the ghost in the mirror is made real, not through meditation nor its absence, not through being totally bound to the physical or its absence, not in being fully bound by primal urges nor their absence, not in sole preoccupation with the intellect nor its absence. But in the meeting ground between worlds, between worlds of mind and matter, spirit and primality, awareness and agency, sky and ground, heaven and earth, enlightenment and enlightenment that is made real by unifying all of these worlds through responsible authoritarian reason . This is Unity; this is grace with teeth."
