Destiny and Mr. girl discussion again.

Another very interesting video, part debate part discussion.

Might get interesting when Mr. girl gets to talk to Dr. K.

I think it might be interesting. Mr. girl said he's willing to not only talk, but press Dr. k on some of his takes. To me, both are similar in how they talk and think, but to me Mr. girl's upfront honesty an non-partisan way of communication would bring up a very interesting discussion.

Just like the Vaush and Mr. girl discussion, the discussion between Mr. girl and dr. K might expose to us  more of what Dr. K is really about, and wether or not he is trustworthy. Like Mr. girl, is the ultimate litmus test to a person's integrity whoever he talks to.

Why would Dr. K take this risk?

It's not like he should, but if he keeps avoiding talking to Mr. girl, it would also look suspicious on his side, despite interacting with Mr. girl, already a suspicious person as well from his way of speaking and being too honest and non partisan.

I predict Dr. k will avoid having a conversation with Mr. girl for a while, but eventually he will talk to him. I think while in the conversation, Dr. K will have a more defensive tone, not just because the guest in question is already has developed a reputation for being a bit suspect due to his misunderstood views on pedophilia, racism, and violence, but Mr. girl is gonna remind him of Reckful, which is likely to get Dr. K a bit defensive because it is likely a sensitive event for him. Now, to me, if Dr. K is a person of high integrity, he should accept the discussion, and manage himself with Mr. girl and show he can handle himself, because the less integrous thing to do, is to not do it because of fear and insecurity.

He's not a debate bro. Showing that he can handle himself is not that important.

I think that it's more important for him to protect his picture.

If he talked to him haters would 100% accuse him of platforming a nazi sympathizing pedophile even if he did everything perfect in the talk.

But I would love to know how would he handle mrgirls projections.

He was a student of yoga, so why the need to protect his image? Out of fear? I don't care about if the debate between them happens, I'm more interested in their discussion, but if Dr. K keeps avoiding Mr. Girl's open invitation to a discussion, repeatedly, it would look bad but in a different way.

I think he could handle his projections, and no doubt if this turned into a debate, Dr. K could handle himself that way, which might turn into like the Vaush and Mr. Girl debate.

I think such a discussion between them would turn out quite deep.

He has already addressed these criticisms a while ago. Mr.Girl is late to the party.

Destiny doing a nice job exposing Hasan's weaknesses, not just in handling arguments, but actually how his empathy contracted when debating on transphobia. Given how the framing of the debate is, and who he's talking to, it's not surprising the discussion is low quality, but it's surprising how triggered he got.  Both Hasan and Vaush are definitely now suspect, they are no longer good examples of stage green:

Because he couldn't survive handling Mr. Girl, his Libertarian socialist views are too limiting, and he one time, debating some other streamer, argued a point for CP commercial availability as an example against Capitalism which was a bad example.

Don't get me started on Hasan.

It's hard for me to judge Vash for being scared of criticism because I'm not a public figure and have never experienced it. Maybe if I did I would also just say what I think that they want me to hear.

If they talked couple of years ago when Vauh was still edgy it would have been a better discussion.

I think they are good examples of online Green and the problems that arise in that context, but they're not representable of all Green. No individual person is.

That's true. The main issue comes about when a person isn't aware of stage green, and Vaush and Hasan are like the first contact that person has of what online stage green looks like, which can be generalised as real life stage green. They then treat Hasan and Vaush as representative of stage green, which becomes the same problem with Jordan Peterson thinking that the extremes of social justice warriors, woke culture, feminists, hippies and care bears are representative of all of stage green, just because he only encountered the more negative and vocal stage green individuals firstly before encountering healthy stage green folks.

Haha. The problem is they're both perfect examples of Stage Green.

The fact you see their flaws and consider them sus just means that you're Stage Yellow.

You can be stage green without understanding nuance. Most stage green people still have mostly black-and-white thinking.

You're either racist or your not. You're either transphobic or you're not. You're either killing the environment or you're not.

Nah bro, it's not that simple. It's never that simple. Almost everything is always simultaneously good and evil.

That's why they both had to split from Destiny, and why they both ended up having larger audiences. Destiny is solid stage yellow and most Twitch viewers are green. Most people can't understand Destiny's nuance and it just makes them irrationally angry.

Can you give a solid paragraph review of Hasan? I've started watching him this month and I find him really good but I haven't really taken the time to dissect him. I'm currently also a big fan of Destiny, he can behave some strange takes but his overall thought processes are delightful to listen to. Great man.

We live in a great time for intellectual discourse. This is the equivalent of our modern-day Greek philosophers. Give all these men a break btw, they are still young. Imagine how wise and integrated they will become if they keep this discourse going for the next 30 years! Also worth noting that Leo gives us almost too many tools to break down and find shadows in people. Being a fully integrated human being is really hard.

The fact that the debate community is so popular shows that there is a huge interest for debating and getting to the bottom of nuanced issues, we're on a good timeline :)
