I'm not sure what that is, polyphase?  Is that like, sleeping in two or more increments?

I sleep from nine to ten pm to seven to eight am - bipolar - so I try to keep my sleep schedule as on point as I can as that's usually what can trigger it for people, and sleep extra, about 10-11 hours a night to help stay regulated and it works pretty well.  I'm an advocate for long sleeps at night, so a person can go through the whole sleep cycle a few times a night - and I dream every night, whereas if I don't have a sleep schedule or don't sleep for a long enough time, then those dreams don't happen.

I advocate a lot of rest for people who have mental or physical issues as this really helps to reset the body each morning.  With two cups of coffee in the morn. as an added bonus, I am ready for more of the day.

If you are thinking of cutting your sleep into parts, I would talk to a sleep specialist about that.  They would probably say it is healthier to have one, long, full rest than many short ones, if at all possible.  Just my 2c.

I go to bed at 11pm. Wake up at 5am. Stay up until 5:30am. Then I go back to bed and wake up again at 7am.

This is the wake-back-to-bed technique for lucid dreaming.

I've never tried polyphasic sleep. I wonder if there's something to it.

I work from 12:00 - 22:00. I go to bed anywhere from 1:00 - 4:00 depending on how tired I am after work, and wake up anywhere from 8:00 - 10:00 depending on what I need to do before work. No caffeine unless I’m at a bar getting mixed drinks. I don’t like coffee, or caffeine dependency in general.
