Why is making money seen as bad for spiritual minded people?

I love money. I love the ocean. I love the mountains. I love myself. I love you. No difference.

@SolarWarden Yes, the purpose of money is to show how much value you've provided the world, but obviously it is corrupted as hell. Socialism would destroy all small businesses. This is why socialism is ridiculous, It takes your freedom from you and locks up to the government's will. I would rather work myself to death than live a boring socialist life. Every since I was a little kid I've wanted to run my own business, and these socialists are saying that's illegal. It's criminal what these socialists are doing. Forget socialism, and go support your local small businesses.

@Husseinisdoingfine I highly recommend reading Austrian economists to you, they have given Marxism the best critique I have seen on why pure socialism / communism not only has never worked, but will never work.

The Labour theory of value is inherently flawed & wrong, therefore, capitalism isn’t simply “Exploitation.”

The profit motive is of course bad for social cohesion. Our society is trading away social bonds for profit, and this has only served to alienate us as a species. The profit motive exists with a pyramid scheme, Capitalism is pyramid scheme in which whomever at the top gets to where they get by exploiting.

This is not true, Crony capitalism has led us to believe this.

For example, most leftists were very happy how amazon agreed to pay their staff $15 minimum wage & higher taxes, but all this does is further benefit them, by allowing them to monopolise the market further and ostracise competition even more.

regarding taxes, to Amazon it’s nothing, to a smaller firm, it means less retained profits & less ability to grow, hence amazon lose less of their market share.

A lot of leftist / liberal economic policies do just this, and it is exactly why huge corporations support them.

And, this is why corporations love working so closely with Gov

It's mostly because the image most people have in their mind about an authentically spiritual person is that they live a meager life. There is the image in collective consciousness of the ascetic yogi that lives on the street and wears rags. And anything that's more affluent feels to most people like it's not authentic.

Or there's a thought that spiritual people SHOULD be above human needs, and if they aren't then they're not that spiritual.

But of course, human beings all have the need for food, water, shelter, etc. Money currently is the means to get these things.
