The key to happiness is saying "yes" to our current circumstances, as Rupert Spira beautifully explains here.

Yes. Acceptance. Surrender. Gratitude. No matter what the circumstances are.. Accept and let go and let God. The only way to real happiness. Nothing else will do. ❤️

Right.

But what is the door to happiness?

There is no door, just the illusion of the ego.

Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.

It's funny how dumb we are to not see something so obvious for our whole life. Searching it from place to place. Hilarious

The problem is happiness on a Absolute level might be different than the understanding the ego has about happiness in the relative level

@Javfly33 Yah, we have to be semantically careful & make sure we’re on the same page when using words like happiness.

Absolute happiness isn’t like a permanent “high”. It is peace in motion, it is fulfilment & contentment, it is complete living in the now without resistance.

In normal terms happiness is often thrown around as a result of good things happening, e.g. I was happy when Liverpool won the league in May, I would describe that more as euphoria / elation.

but yes you’re right!

@LfcCharlie4 Exactly. I would add, the realization of who you are is the "unveiling" that happiness has always been the case :) xD

The only way

There are beautiful moments in other places but they aren't exactly happy... too subjective to be called as that

Sister Shivani of the Prajapita Brahmakumaris also similarly states thus, "The more we blame people and situations for how we feel, the more we will cross every scene unaware of our responsibility. When we take personal responsibility for our state of being, attention will be only on what we create, irrespective of situation."

By accepting the situation as it is and people as they are, one makes the mind immune to outer influence and concentrates instead on one's inner state of being. This makes the mind equanimious and still, leading to better clarity of mind. Better clarity of mind will translate to correct actions externally, appropriate to the situation .

On the other hand, outright emotional rejection of the situation and people around will lead to negativity and reactivity, which makes the mind turbulent, prevents clear thinking and consequently brings incorrect actions which further exacerbates the situation.
