Your ass will hurt alot after 50 minutes. Just a heads up. :ph34r:

I hope I don’t get a blood clot. How do you and those Buddhist monks prevent a blood clots from happening?

Such a long period of sitting still cannot be too good for your health lol.

In my experience, whenever I sat for a long time, I felt huge pulses in my bottom and I was scared of getting a blood clot lol. I consider myself very healthy, but I don’t know if I am just being too paranoid.

@Michal__ Thank you!

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

Dont worry about it. If youve worked an office job or been on an airplane youve sat for way longer than that. ;)

Dont look at me! Look inside!

True, but I did move my body around. I’ve never sat completely still for more than 10 or 20 mins.

@r0ckyreed Young jedi - sit cross legged.  Pull out your hand.  Notice Actuality.  Stare at one of the fingers.  Then shift perspective to the whole hand, becoming conscious that the finger is and was always the hand - but thinking it is a finger.  Shift back and forth.   Finger - Hand - Finger - Hand.. Feel Being  becoming stronger and stronger until you and Being become one!  :)

Awesome! I just now saw your post! Thank you so much for your guidance Master! The Force is with me, and I am One with The Force! :D

I also thought about looking at my hand, then slowly move my gaze to an object that is 20ft behind my hand and then back again. It is really interesting how the visual field works when switching from close distance to long distance.

The mystical OM serves me well as a mantra, which is ironic because I did not use mantras for the longest time. It reverberates through my inner chambers like a resounding echo in a cave. My body becomes a physical temple, wherein physicality is nothing but actuality. As such, OM strikes, slashing from within. It ripples until I reach an epiphany.

@r0ckyreed yes and you also are shifting your consciousness.  Awakening is a radical shift in consciousness.

Scan your body for tensions, especially the gut area, and cry it out. Then just sit.

Intrinsic joy = being x meaning ²

The most powerful meditation technique is the one that I like to do on that particular day. Could be: letting go, counting breaths, processing emotions, strong determination sitting, walking meditation, body scan, chanting, binaural beats, guided meditations.?‍♂️

Sit to meditate the time that you want. Focus in your breathing and wait for the thoughts. When they arrive, realize what they are, how is his frequency, what is the main topic. Don't try to stop them, only observe, like if you were observing some kids playing or anything. Without analize, only observation. After a while, maybe half an hour, maybe more (you could stop a while every 15 min or any time and after start again) you will realize how the thoughts are acting, how are connecting with you, what is you. Do it like a game. At the end the realizations will happen

Sit and do nothing until you're just sitting. After some time, of doing nothing, remember you're there to meditate. Allow meditation to happen however it does. Notice how everything falls through the mind like quicksand. Is it even there? What do I know, anyway? Encourage feelings of well being with mere intention and patience. Perhaps smile. Allow the minute sensations of the breath etc to be felt. Interesting sensations arise in the hands most often for me because they're so subtle. Experiment with intention and allowing currents of joy to manifest. Eventually you might notice the breath is happening automatically and a weight may be lifted and you might shift into a state that feels reminiscent of ego death. Free falling through blissful breath after blissful breath. There's quite a bit of basic practical info on the jhanas in both Seeing That Frees and The Mind Illuminated. The jhanas are breathtakingly beautiful. You can help things along by experimenting with lenses; seeing phenomena as: impermanent, unsatisfactory, not-self, or empty (dependent and unknowable).
