Best books about Stock Markets?

13 posts in this topic

I've read some books about investing, but the perspective described in them is always the perspective of a beginner investor. I'd like to read a book on the mechanisms of Stock Markets, how companies relate to the Stock Markets, the way Stock Markets relate to global economy, the mechanisms of money in the big picture of the stock world. Preferably a stage yellow book.

Any suggestions?

Intelligent Investor for long term

This was a great read and well worth the 600 pages or so. I would start with this one. Jack Bogle the founder of Vanguard has some really good books too. I just finished investment Vs. Speculation and it was good. Highlights a lot of issues with 401ks, using mutual funds, and why to choose vanguard.

It's not a book, but I recommend this video -if you haven't watched it yet-, and of course, the sources that explained the research behind it:

@Darvid

Thank you, I'll definitely check it out!

@Austin Actualizing

What are your thoughts on Jim Simons and Peter Lynch? Are they more knowledgeable and skilled than Warren? For some people they are.
