Why do we still use the word "God"?

9 posts in this topic

There is a new video on leos blog:

The word "God" is just a way to spread an egoistic message. Most people use this word, and it means nothing.

Why do we still use it? Same goes for the word love.

Hehehe....

Because God and Love are what you are.

People are only able to understand God and Love up to whatever level their consciousness is at. It cannot be otherwise. A stage Blue Christian understands God and Love in his limited way but God doesn't mind it, because God and Love is too big to ever be understood by any human.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Why would you not call it God or Love?

It's still proper to call it God. A Christian can have legit God experiences. They are just partial, not total.

There is God relative to a Christian.

There is God relative to a Muslim.

There is God relative to a Hindu.

There is God relative to Leo.

There is God relative to Sadhguru.

There is God relative to an alien.

Etc.

God is the sum total of all that, and infinitely more.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Being nameless,it is all names and none of them. Name is non essential. Giving more importance of the name over "That" itself is seriously missing the mark. The name or word is man's invention, and never That  itself.

@dharm4 Well whatever you call it, it's you. Would you rather call yourself a cantaloupe?

It has to be called something for humans to get some grasp of what is being pointed to. Yeah, the word God is arbitrary. If it were called X, you could pose the same question and ask, "why isn't it called Y? Why is it called X? "

And yes, you better believe it will be used by people in an egoistic, self-serving, and corrupted fashion. That's basically what happened with religion.

why are you saying something is being pointed to?
