@charlie2dogs I didn't say that. It was a rhetorical question... But there are stages of enlightenment. I'd say being dead is the most enlightened you could ever be. Below that are also enlightened people of course, but I don't even think they would say they are FULLLLYYYY liberated

there are no stages to enlightenment,  there will be stages to your growth and your awakening but that has nothing to do with enlightenment.

@Huz88 Even the most enlightened being out there wouldn't call himself enlightened. You have completely misunderstood the concept of self-liberation my friend

The idea that an enlightened person would not call themselves enlightened is true, but it's also false if none of us know what this statement means.  For example, we heard our teacher say this statement and misunderstand what the teacher really means when they say an enlightened person would never call themselves 'enlightened'.

A person who is not identified with the illusion will not think they are "enlightened" because they merely live in reality.  It's nothing special.  Reality, and liberation is most normal thing there is.

But a person liberated from the dream CAN say they are self-realized when they are communicating their reality to others.  Self-realized teachers indirectly proclaim they are enlightened purely by the fact that they are teaching.

We need to understand what this means when our teachers say: "enlightened persons never proclaim they are "enlightened".

im just corious, if lionn comes from the corner, while you hang around with your family, friends, would you stand up first, to fight for your family, friends lives. Or you just look around to see what everybody else is doing? I bet "leo" would start talk with that beast, while he eats his skinny legs.

Fuck this stupid "enligtiment", there is no point, while we are still a boys.

linas there is some truth in your statement, boys are not interested in enlightenment, and rightfully so, unless you were raised in an eastern country where it is normal for children to be taught more spiritual things as children.  so as boys you can enjoy yourself and sow your seeds and reap the consequences until you are forced to wake up  :)

This is becoming quite boring actually, as each topic with some potential ends up in some kind of tail-biting...but then again, who am I to be bored by life playing itself as a litter of puppies biting each other's tail? There's absolutely nothing those puppies could ever do to convince me that they're anything less than perfect!

Just maybe...look into forum's guidelines and understand that topics here really need to be about what is being asked/affirmed by initial post.

This is why we need moderation that is on the ball and able to discern between the 'perfect' nonsense timewasters and the 'perfect' people who need this site because there is nothing else in society offering this kind of platform.

You are right, I already contacted Leo about my suitability to moderate (judge) anything any longer. Life here has become so open and so free of drama, that it feels impossible to be on one side without being on the other at the same time.. because I can clearly see that there are no sides, only THIS.

There is still some warm indulgence into sharing things that might be helping people present here, and this is the reason I am still around. But it can be dropped at any moment. Anyway, life will soon decide I feel.

There is a big difference between judgement and discernment.

I'm curious to what that is in your view?

To discern, means already to separate one thing from another... Judgement is just one tiny step forward...yes to this hence no to that!

To me, calling a clock a clock is judgement. Good or bad, that is where I'm at..

@Ayla

It's OK Ayla.  I don't want to be a crab in the bucket for you.

I had a whole response lined up, but I don't want to rob you of your state.

I see you're in the zone:)

It means (for me) that Ayla knows everything is just appearance, there is nothing there to take offense at any of this, it's just "light" dancing.

Hi Charlie. I posted several days about an experience that I had. I feel as though for a few moments during the experience, I was truly connecting with that deeper part of myself or "being". It had some other interesting novelties about it too that I'm pretty sure were just other sleep related states of consciousness, but there was a moment or two during the experience where I felt that I was in a state of stillness and timelessness where I was just being and perceiving. I will post the link to it below. I would like your opinion as to whether or not this was what I was tapping into, or if it was just some other state of consciousness that's novel but not necessarily relating to what you describe in the quote above.

often when someone is about to leave the body, they will experience this vibration or buzzing in their  ears or head even, and sleep paralysis is a part of that process, there is nothing to fear from it, some people can have out of body experiences at will, the question you ask, what is experiencing this, is a good question, something to contemplate,  if you want my honest opinion don't spend a lot of focus on ego, let it be, and instead spend more time with the question what is experiencing all of this and where am i with it.  try to experience the deeper real part of yourself more and more.  everyone has moments of oneness with the self and sometimes often, the ideal is to make that ones a way of life.  i have observed your text for some time now, and i know you are having experiences and that is a good thing, but dont let the experiences take you down a road away from the main objective, and that is to discover and be one with the life force within you, this is more important that all the rest.  Personally i think you are doing a great job, dont let anyone discourage you, and if your husband isnt receptive, it might be best to not discuss certain things with him for the time being and just continue to do your work on yourself.  the real key to all of what you are going to go through is this, you can struggle with everything as a human identity or you can become the real you, where there is no struggle.  functioning as the self brings peace, joy and a reason for being here and doing what we do, but its a lot different that doing it as a human identity,  an example of that is love, the human identity performs acts of love to satisfy the ego, but when functioning as the self you are love, it is a state of being and it is that state of being that is our home and what we seek.

Thank you for the advice. :) I have a lot of out of body experiences. So, I recognized the vibrations as the precursor to that. In the past month or so, it seems like a lot more prompts are showing up in my life to question "What is perceiving?" as opposed to directly diminishing ego. In fact, I've decided instead to resume trying to add value to myself through individuation, despite its evident absurdity in contrast to my ego-transcendence experiences years ago. When I had them, I decided afterward that I wanted to stop having an identity and did a lot of unwise things to try to undermine my identity. So, I gave up on many of my dreams to be the "most __________ person" despite it feeling very wrong to me. But perhaps the way out is through. So, I think your advice is spot on. I guess I just get antsy and want some external confirmation of my experiences. Thanks again!
