Eckhart Tolle says the earth is intelligent and will do something to stop humans

Eckhart Tolle says the earth is an intelligent being and if it senses humans are a threat it'll do something to stop humans like reduce male fertility. Why does he think this? Is he right?

This is common knowledge among enlightened beings. Everything is alive and conscious in some way/shape/form some far more than we are.

The earth will do what needs to be done to preserve all life, humans are not handpicked specialties, if we are destructive of nature and disharmonious to natural laws, nature will take her course until most of us are wiped out.

This has happened several times already. The Fall of Atlantis is a good example when our Technological advancement and material attatchments surpassed our spiritual evolution. We need balance between physical and non-physical.

We need to live and work one with nature and her ways, going against natural ways is disharmonious and destructive.

God says do not destruct the balance when God had made everything balanced.

Back to it's natural balance. 

It is unavoidable. 

Unescapable..

 

Perfect balance is.

Even if I do nothing..(not in the way that you'd think though)..

Of course it will. What do you think awakening/enlightenment is? Its this intelligence waking up in humanity itself.

We too are part of earth. The more we realise that, we will become less and less (self) destructive.

@Raze It's the same as the physical body. If you don't listen to it's wisdom it eventually shuts you down by creating a disease. 

At the moment humanity isn't sane enough to understand the organism that is the planet or the human body. And I doubt humanity ever will be.
