Is that not a fact that is taking place. Is that not why you are attempting to cultivate and self improve. To attain your idea of “enlightenment”?
Posted June 17, 2018 (edited) The Conditioned self (experience, knowledge, memory) is a fact. Its not a “thought-story” infact it’s where all silly thought story’s are born and perpetuated. Edited June 17, 2018 by Faceless
Posted June 17, 2018 (edited) Anyway back to the important question. It’s quite interesting how we know that the self is an illusion yet still move and act in a divisive manner. Isn’t it? Edited June 17, 2018 by Faceless

Seeing a cat in itself is not a thought-story. A cat hissing at you in a particular manner in a particular context may cause you to consider a thought-story. You might interpret the cat’s motive, for example. That’s a thought-story. Thought-stories are most often expressed in language. Posted June 17, 2018 (edited) Yes anything recognized according to experience, knowledge, and memory is a movement of thought. But that process/movement is still a fact that takes place. Edited June 17, 2018 by Faceless

Any movement and response in accordance to experience, knowledge, memory, is a movement of thought As all that is the self. This is a fact. I never said you need to recognize it as a cat at all. You erroneously inferred that. I can see a cat without simultaneously having the thought-story ‘this is a cat’ being present in awareness. This is called being able to make the distinction between awareness and thought — a critical skill for Enlightenment Work. Posted June 17, 2018 (edited) i Just shared what is considered a movement of thought. Do you see that anything responded in accordance to the above, is a movement of thought? Experience, knowledge, memory. Edited June 17, 2018 by Faceless

Experience, knowledge, memory. ‘Movement of thought’ is a thought-story, conceptual system, framework, paradigm, lens, conceptual interpretation that you are clinging tightly to. You need to raise your awareness of thought-stories aka conceptual systems: what they are, how they work, and how they function.
