Lets see if this poll works!

Answer which one you think has the most in common with spirituality in the poll.

And feel free to rank them all in this thread from nr.1 to nr.11 and motivate why you list them as you do.

This is highly personal of course, there is no objective answer, or is there? :)

What do we mean by spirituality?

And what do we mean by art?

Indian classical music is a sadhana , a spiritual discipline. In the East, music has been always accepted as a spiritual phenomenon.

These are just concepts!

Spirituality refers to timeless truth. Pointers towards truth.

That which is never cease to be

That which isn't never comes into existence

Only infinite consciousness is!

Art refers to man made creations that are uplifting phenomenons, when you experience them, they have an inspiring effect to our souls and inspire our intuition for spirituality.

All action that is whole (truth), is an expression of art.

Any one of those is an art if it comes from truth. If we are truth in action then all movement we take is truly creative.

From creativity everything we do is an art.

To me the most beautiful art is...

The art of headlessness.

I selected the artistic sports category, but my real answer is martial arts.  Like spirituality, martial arts requires discipline, humility, spontaneity, and the learning of traditional techniques.  Also, if any of y'all have ever sparred in a tournament, you know that Zen-like concentration state you can get into.  Just a little slice of heaven B|.

From the point of experience that is me, anything spontaneous, especially through music, writing, painting, dancing. More generally, whenever in flow, allowing myself to unfold/arise/be free and true, every movement is an expression of the art of creation/being/soul. I believe art is the voice of the soul, and the reason why we call somethings art and somethings not, is not because it is not art but because we are unable to see.

@WildeChilde Good answer. I am interested in material arts, I know the spiritual aspect of if.

Many have witnesse about feelings of love/oneness with his/her opponent in fights.

My favourite fight was one between Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar.

This changes based on the individual. The more of your spirit you put into something, the more spiritual the practice becomes. My most spiritual practices are drawing and designing things that I think are beautiful. :)
