This is more common than we would like to feel or think.

i think you have a bias against non-spirituality or not pursuing god/awakening. it's your whole brand but it does not apply to most people. i'm kind of aware im speaking with some bias here and i don't mean this as an insult i love you leo but you're so spiritual  but you aren't healthy, you've been single for years (you can blame it on your health but there are plenty of guys who are more sick than you and still have girlfriends) and you don't seem that happy i'm not sure how you can convince me that you are.

i don't know i feel like you shame people for not wanting to be serious about deep spirituality but how is life any better just because you "know" everything. you're still like any other person dealing with their own struggles.

Bias towards being a man and your dating/relationship advice skews toward pickup and less so toward long-term relationships; it's lacking a lot. I know you've made episodes such as "a rant against the pickup community" etc. Nevertheless, the vibes of this space in dating/sexuality/relationships is still very red-pill/pickup coded, with very little emphasis on deeper or longer-term connections between partners.

Bias towards being a dick; literally using your social status and gravitas to call people names and act like an edgy teenager with respect to some of the most serious and mentally destabilising topics known to man. What could go wrong? Also, such wow, so amazement! ... many young guys emulate this behaviour here, monkey see, monkey do.

Bias towards teaching/explaining. Not everything can or should be explained. In this vein, bias towards logic and rationalism away from emotion, feelings and the body, which are alternative (not necessarily equal) modes of interfacing with reality as humans.

  • Bias towards literal definitions of words as opposed to contextual interpretations of words; a subtle point I've noticed again and again, where you will dismiss people's expressions because they aren't using words according to your own internalised or standardised definitions. A recent example: "gym rat" is typically a term of endearment and camaraderie. Rat in other contexts: not so much.

Bias towards novelty. Sometimes the boring old things really are best. Also a subtle sense of almost needing to do something new or novel.

American.

Bias against normies. Once you said if you had to work a post office job, you would kill yourself. Why the antipathy to normal ass jobs or existence?

Baboon.

I agreed and resonated with this point deeply.

First of all, my high school teacher told me that I was wasting my education if I didn't go to college such that I may as well drop out now and work a dead end job. The goal of education is to get a higher paying career which if you don't get, then you wasted your time.

Additionally, when I learned about how Americans live paycheck to paycheck, I remembered how much purpose meant to me. The economic system is designed to crush your dreams and passions while pretending to support them. In my case I wanted to be a chess grandmaster, but the economy makes this infeasible and college is irrelevant to this goal. The economy is therefore designed in such a way that it prevents most people from achieving such goals while calling it a problem of effort and talent.

Given that my family wasn't worth living with either, the outcome is that I would be working a dead end job until I get old and die. I will be suffering meaninglessly for the rest of the foreseeable future while calling it opportunity on the belief that I might one day get to retire. My grandpa also told me I was worthless and end up at a dead end job like Kroger.

I agree with Leo 100 percent. I would rather commit suicide because this life is pure resignation and no reason to exist other than being someone else's pawn for profit and exploitation. I have been taught since childhood that working such a job is dehumanizing, degrading, and a representation of how much your life is valued when you scrub period blood of public toilets. Yet we wonder why Americans don't want to do certain jobs given this messaging about what it means to work a normal job by our culture.

There are therapists who call this sentiment crazy, but I think my therapists are idiots if they expect me to resign myself to such a life rather than commit suicide. Therapists would probably call Leo crazy for that, but I already felt this way anyway. I need a reason to exist other than being a drone. Otherwise you may as well erase my entire inner world and disregard everything I ever think or say as though I were a mere animal to you. This is way capitalists have also made explicit that you are like a dog who needs to be starved and kept desperate or else you will get complacent and refuse to work if not for constant fear of homelessness and starvation. This is literally how capitalists think about these jobs when you go to work in the morning. It is about controlling your entire life while calling it opportunity.

Why would this kind of outcome in life be acceptable to you? I don't think our system has a real answer for why I shouldn't kill myself in this scenario. Therapists and the mental health system are in complete denial of this psychological abuse and character assassination through dehumanization designed by the capitalist system.

1. Main one is aliens. A bias to think it's a lazy way out. A lazy explanation so it must be discarded. The evidence is overwhelming. Take psychedelics, psychically connect to people giving accounts, to Bashar talking. Experience direct knowing. Don't be lazy and say "we just don't know". Aliens are a massive part of human history. History isn't something you can logic your way to. There are limits to what you can do by just thinking. That's a blindspot and bias you have. You overly value what you can verify just by logic.

2. You're unhappy. You're not embodying your teachings. You're not open minded enough. Be honest, talk about your struggles in videos. Your videos are slightly autisitic and cold. I suppose if you didn't have these issues you might not even be making videos.

@Leo Gura

You're biased toward an angry, prickly, judgy form of communication. You're deluding yourself into thinking that this type of angry vibe helps with the communication.

You're biased against nuance and proper qualification in your communication. It's aways "all scientists" "nobody" "everybody" ect..., whereas the reality is more like "many scientists" "very few" "many/most"

I think you are biased against science and AI. Science for a lot of good reasons because the amount of effort to make a name for yourself and change the status quo in the scientific community is immense. That doesn't mean that nonduality or mystical teachings invalidate the scientific method and that you can credibly make arguments that fall outside of it.

AI I think it's because it threatens your status as an intellectual since a lot of the concepts in your videos come from synthesizing thousands of hours reading books which can now be achieved by LLMs. You're been very dismissive of its potential to produce intelligence and even though you have some good points on it, I think you are fundamentally biased on it. If you put more time mastering AI it would push the quality of your work to the next level.

I think it also probably stems from your health issues and specifically your low energy since keeping up with all the AI news and stress testing the new models that come out continuously to get them to produce high quality insights takes a lot of energy. I similarly find myself having procrastinated on my learning of AI to help my life's work and I think it's due to some very real mental blocks that I see in myself, you and others both on the forum and in society at large.

I think it's fine to have limitations but when you speak with absolute certainty on things that AI fundamentally cannot do then you lose a bit of credibility since often times I've found it's already either false or it seems quite likely that in 1-2 years it will undoubtedly have reached that level let alone in 1-2 decades.

There are valid concerns to have with overhyping that techbros do but the potential and benefits of the technology have already started to bear fruit so I think it's a good time for us to wrack our brains to pull further benefits from it for the community and world as a whole!

That's why I made this thread, to focus on practical benefits that this community's users can derive from AI instead of either fear-mongering on it or hypothesizing on future applications without actually using it productively daily.
