Do psychedelics make you more playful and funny?

When you’re high on weed, things can sometimes seem funnier than they do when you’re sober. Is it similar with psychedelics? Do you find yourself laughing more during a trip? And do psychedelics make you more playful and humorous in everyday life, even when you’re sober?

LSD had me dying of laughter about the most random things. Its hard to explain really. It can be caused by complete bullshit.

Yeah I would say generally psychedelics make things funnier, but it's not always at the same intensity. I remember one time at the end of an ayahuasca ceremony, I was watching a funny video, and it became one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life. The psychedelic amplified it like crazy. Other times when I watched the same video on other psychedelics, the humour of it was amplified, but not to the same extent. I'd love to laugh as hard as I did that one time on ayahuasca again.

I also notice that psychedelics make me laugh at really weird stuff. Things that wouldn't normally be funny become funny. I had the idea one time to ask someone if they had teeth, and I thought it was hilarious. I also thought it was really funny that people sleep. Like they're just out of commission for a third of their lives, and they just sit there doing nothing. It really cracked me up lol.

I've also had a few times where the psychedelic will make me really funny. All the sudden my internal monologue starts throwing out hilarious, witty one-liners without me even trying. It's like my thought process becomes tweaked in a way that makes me think in very witty and comically sharp ways. I'll just be going about my day doing whatever, and all the sudden i'll have this thought that absolutely kills me laughing. It totally catches me off guard and I have no idea where it came from. And these hilarious thoughts just keep coming out constantly and effortlessly, and then they end once the trip wears off. I've had a trip like this once on ayahuasca and once on 2C-B, but it doesn't happen very often. I wish I could be like that all the time lol.
