Very sweet yoga instructor girl at my Zumba class

9 posts in this topic

We’ve had two good talks so far. I think a connection has possibly been made because we resonate decently well on the yoga stuff. I have her telephone number and she has agreed to pick up trash with me next month. She was surprisingly forthcoming about not having a romantic partner when I assumed she did in conversation. But there’s also someone else who seems likely interested as I am. He’s taller, mega muscular and way more badass like than I. So I’m under no delusion at all she’ll pursue me over him as anything that could go beyond platonic friendship.

It’s so typical I’m not even mad or annoyed by it anymore. I’m just sitting here clearly predicting the future. They end up in a committed relationship and I’m right back to depriving myself of ejaculation and taking ice cold showers. It’s so fundamental to reality it’d be like getting upset at water for being wet or predicting 8:00 at 7:30. For whatever reason it’s been decided that in this volume of absolute infinity, every time there appears to be a chance at girlfriend it’s either approach anxiety makes me appear as some psycho rapist that has her terrified, someone else gets to her first, someone better looking is available, we live too far apart, we’re simply not a good match… oh it’s endless but ALWAYS something without fail.

So what do I even do in this situation? Do I burn the number and ditch the class? Do I submit to cuckoldry? Unless a miracle happens we already know the outcome either way. Except one may leave me with more dignity than the other.

What was God’s intention behind this prank?

Self-rejection, final boss.

Brother, you do not know what is going to happen. If you are interested, pursue her and let her decide if she prefers you or the other guy. On top of that work on the beliefs you have about yourself and your self worth.

@Emotionalmosquito you're being overly dramatic. The bottom line is, you don't know what's going to happen. It's a law of nature that women have other interests don't sweat it, you're not competing, you're inviting her to you. You've shown you're interested, if she reciprocates then good you can continue.

So since you last posted what practices and advice did you apply to resolve your mental health issues and resentments, how many hours did you do them? What approach anxiety progressive desensitization technique did you try and how many times? Did you improve your fashion and core communication skills, or do anything to try to address your negative mindsets? How many women did you practice talking to and how many reports did you write to find what your sticking points are. What content did you find and apply to address these sticking points, did you analyze if your weakness is at opening, at flirting, at conversation, what advice did you apply to resolve it? How many women did you ask out?

@Emotionalmosquito why do you instantly belief it is gonna be nothing? This seems like self sabotage, never did she say or atleast not that you have described that she didn't like you romantically. Plus that is something that could build, by being more around eachother, I think my first girlfriend that we were friends for a month and only then when I was with another girl that I kissed before, she got scared and wrote me a love letter. SO don't throw in the towel so quickly that is weak and I am guilty of it too, but from what I read here, this is pure self sabotage.

I will tell you actually about a girl that I sabotaged with myself. She was in spirituality, I used to visit her class, we would sit in silence and connect, it was beautiful, like pure connection kinda. Then after like 6 months or so, I don't know I came just from the gym, my muscles were showing a little and I was a bit goofy, she jumped me and hugged me and was super interested in me, I couldn't handle her interest at that time and went away never came back. So don't be like me lol. Give it time, don't be desperate about it, she will eventually get interested or not and then when she is, be able to recieve and not runaway like I did.

Besides all of this, get around more woman, you don't want her to be the center of your world, there are plenty of woman around, maybe not all girlfriend material according to your taste like her, but still good to approach woman and see more woman so you aren't so desperate about one case, one girl.

To truly love something is to grant that thing freedom. It is to hold it in an open, outstretched palm of your hand without clenching over it.

Point out to us when exactly this girl has rejected you. I would suggest you practice living with uncertainty, rather than already resorting to resignation. The latter can feel surprisingly peaceful, because it protects you from disappointment. But it also means you’ve already decided the outcome before anything has had the chance to develop.

Notice what's missing from that comparison: everything else that matters in a relationship. You are right that she might choose him over you, but not necessarily for the reasons you think. Right now, you had some positive interactions, shared interest, her number and plans to spend time together. You don’t know where this will lead.
